To anyone out there that purchased additional SSD space back when the slot opened up has already spent nearly $700 on the OG ps5. The cost of ssd nvme has come down some now but back then a good one was over $100

I think that for what the console offers in having the backing of a publisher to ensure a premium experience, it is a better deal than a similarly built PC. The console is made for developers to make games for it.

What about a monitor to spec, desk, desk chair, gaming keyboard and mouse, a controller, speakers, cables oh and don't forget postage and research labour time and Microsoft office subscription every year!! PC only last about 4 to 5 years, games are unoptimized it's so expensive and the headache of loading games and crashing is insane!!! The true cost of PC
All these PC comparison builds always forget to add Controller, cables and you would need to buy Windows. So even more expensive. Also there is no way these people doing these comparisons would ever own the build they are suggesting 😂
The RX6800 comparison is a load of shit. That is just rasterization power, not the ray tracing or PSSR AI upscaling. They're omitting two of the three biggest features and strengths and acting like that wouldn't affect the price.
The bullsh*t about them saying no disk drive for the pro is about giving players options utter crap. Giving us a disk drive in their almost 1k$ console also supports digital. U know exactly why they are doing this. sony can take their pro and stick it!!
You realize you’re asking the 80% of gamers who are digital only to basically pay for the unwanted drive. I prefer physical and have no issues with paying for the add on drive.

Thoughts on Ghost of Yotei: Given sonys track record with DEI woke bs, i have no faith in this game. Spiderman 2 had the same problem, god of war had issue, last of us 2, and even ratchet and clank rift apart had a musical section were robot female pirates sing about women rights. Yes im serious...🙄 The only game i find genuinely great is astrobot. Its arguably sonys best game in the last 5 years. Such a wholesome and joyful experience from start to finish. Its a celebration of all the best things abiut Playstations past and i love it. Its my goty.👌
