I'm a cat person, but when i layed eyes on Sherpa I was in love. He was the smartest and funniest good boy. I watched Sherpa and Key EVERYDAY!! I'm retired so they were the sunshine everyday. Rest in peace Sherpa.

I am a decorated combat veteran and I cried my eyes out when my faithful friend of 20 years and four months died. Several years later i am not over it. There is no shame to grieve for a pet.
I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't have mine quite as long as yours. My Big Boy was with me with me for almost 16-1/2 years. Letting him go was one of the two hardest decisions I've ever had to make. I would watch Sherpa and smile because I loved him so much, even though he really wasn't mine. I felt like he gave a part of himself to all of us and he reminded me so much of my Big Boy. Even though mine was a pittie he acted so much like Sherpa when he would talk. He would get mad and me and start barking. I would tell him not to cuss at me and that was all he was waiting on. He would bark and howl so fast. I knew he was cussing at me. Then he would look at me and smile that crooked little smile. Oh I sorry. I have written a book. I just like hearing the stories of other folks pets and I like telling about mine. I'll stop talking now. Thanks for listening and again, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

My favirite memory of Sherpa is when he argued win alexa and when he rushed Biscuit lady to go to the kitchen to get his biscuits

I have scarcely stopped crying since Jamie's video where he (and we) had to let Sherpa go. And, now another flood of tears. 😢 But, this was a very sweet video. We will never forget Sherpa. Thank you for sharing this with us. I had forgotten how Sherpa used to be, so lively, walking straight and barking. And the way he always came back to look for Jamie to make sure he was still there. It's very sad to watch our furry friends age and then have to leave us. My heart goes out to Jamie and all who loved him.♥
