I know I am not the only person with this experience, but I recently discovered the game through Null Signal by watching the Shut Up and Sit Down video on Netrunner and after watching almost every available minute of your Netrunner content I want MORE!!! Let's bring this game back to mainstream!!!
Watching sweet Netrunner from Hungary. I'd be happy to see more Netrunner content on the channel. Sadly I came to late to the party. Around the time of the Revised core. That was a gutpunch. I came here for Star Wars LCG
Coming in from Seattle, WA to tell you to play more Netrunner! I found out about TC because of your old competitive Netrunner event coverage, and the Data Tokens.
39:55 - start 59:45 - how to begin deckbuilding (anarch) 1:03:28 - high level explanation of the gameplay - short version 1:18:50 - deckbuilding corp 1:39:33 - beginning of a game 2:22:55 - beginning of a second game
these streams are always at bad times for me lol, but so happy to see netrunner. that's how i found TC originally, through all of their videos opening new packs and giving those initial impressions
I found you guys while researching card games to play with my girlfriend (she didn't want to play magic, as I was a tournament player for a long time). So I stumbled upon your L5R videos, and even though you didn't like the game too much and even though I disagree completely on your reasoning for it, I feel in love with the game and with your content. Now it is just relaxing and plain enjoyable watching you guys. You are a great duo, thanks for all you do. As I have mentioned more than once thanks to your content and love for games I could really build a shared hobby with the love of my life, and that is worth a lot!
Your old netrunner videos is how I found you guys. This is the best card game ever made. The only thing that makes FaB better is that it's in-print officially.
The original thing which lead me to TC was way back in 2012-2013, I was looking up Netrunner bc I remember playing the game back when it released in the 90's and had a hankering to get some old cards, and lo and behold FFG had the rights and a new version was out set in the Android universe. This lead me to watch TH-cam vids and two things immediately came onto my radar: the fresh Click Tracker and Data Token sets vids and the original Learn to Play series with Steven and Robert. I've been with you guys ever since and have relished my time watching your company grow and to you all bring new folks into the hobby space. Thanks again as always for being wonderful, down-to-earth folks! It's always a blast! :)
Hi fellas. Found you last year thru Arkham, then watched the Netrunner series because the game is just referenced EVERYWHERE. Got captured by the lingo as much as anything - clicks, run on HQ, rez - sounded so freakin' dynamic I really wanted to play that game. I'm terrible at it, but I do like it. Thanks!
When I saw their holiday netrunner tokens, I immediately bought them and bought another set of the regular tokens for good measure-they’ve been great for netrunner, got me into the game, and I’ll always back their netrunner products!
Please do more netrunner contents. A quick glance that your netrunner videos always have the most views relative to other games. Many fans out there enjoy and yearn for more of your awesome content.
Started watching you guys thanks to great Learning Netrunner Series. Got interested in the game just after it was ended by FFG, bought what I could. Now I am into Null Signal Packs - fantastic new entries.
Love that Zach actively creating more work for Steven, good luck Steven!! their cussing is so far beyond what we say well, they've had more time Anarch and Weyland... my 2 faction choices!! Also played Apex cuz it was so damn fun!! Used to love me a Noise virus deck and a Weyland advance deck. love this game, easily top 5 all time game couldn't agree more, Steven; the Netrunner system is the key. it happens to fit the theme perfectly. but a house building game where the home owner or General contractor has to "run" against town hall to get licensing "thats not an agenda. no way it. thats so illogical. ok, I'm going to face check it. run" I guarantee this is the thought process for every runner, everytime the Corp puts down a card at the base of a server. perfect Netrunner quote playing Runner is fun. but actually love(and prefer) playing Corp. something about hiding and defending is really exhilarating for me. its kinda like a tower defense game where the attacker actually plans and strategizes
Hi guys, im belatedly watching this from Cornwall in the UK. So i’ll answer some of your questions retrospectively haha. I discovered you because Netrunner caught my attention and you guys literally taught me how to play and convinced me to delve into system gateway, so thank you! The English really have far too many cuss words specific to areas in the UK, but also i think what makes the British great at insults and swearing is the ability to utilise seemingly innocuous words and make them insulting and rude 😂.
Just got into the game through the NISEI cards and your videos, both the ones with NISEI cards and the old FFG ones have been extremely entertaining! Really hope you'd keep doing them! One thing to point out though, at 2:32:28, when Zach overclocked the remote server with the Clearinghouse in it, the 3 credits lost from the Whitespace subroutine must come from the runner's credit pool, so I believe he still wouldn't have enough credits go through that Whitespace and breach the server.
I'm from Australia, I first found the channel when I was looking for Netrunner card discussions after I got the core box for my birthday (It was around the time the game launched in Australia and only found a copy in when I traveled to Sydney) I also watched all the 'game of thrones' lcg videos, well the first edition. My gaming group is starting to be interested into netrunner again so here I am. No luck getting my crew into 'game of thrones' again. Glad to see you guys are still making vids.
I just got introduced to this game yesterday second hand and like you guys have been my constant companion since I learned about it. Some like 12+ hours of Netrunner content so I can really get the vibe of the game and make sure I'm building for fun. I'm really a huge fan of the NBN guys.... Being the news sounds insane and doing the track/trace stuff and shutting out banks sounds amazing. I worry that it'll be oppressive or "stax-y" in magic the gathering parlance but from what I get that's kind of expected
I'm a hobbyist game designer, make little prototypes with blank cards and stuff just to play with my wife and friends. At the start of the pandemic I started a hobby of building battle boxes / duel decks for dead games to see what kind of mechanics I might have missed that I could harvest. Guessing Google noticed and started putting your stuff into my suggested feed.
Yeah, this throwbacks is just a gold mine of gamedesign. Netrunner, Mythos, Star Wars CCG, Warlords, 7th Sea, Spycraft, Tomb Raider CCG and many-many more, it's just wild how many system hides behind time! I hardly remember that time pre-TC when only types of "advanced" card games I knew was MTG-likes. There are sooo many different stuff.
I remember the running joke ever pack unboxing when a good asset was released was, "well wizard is getting better." And then that day finally came and it was glorious.
Sorry for the live comment, but I got into TC via X-Wing and Star Wars LCG castings. Still have the handwritten 'thank yous' on the first products I ordered from you guys, found them while spring cleaning. Since then, I've never been far from a TC order/vid/podcast/etc.!
Ah man, would love to see you guys build a cube of Netrunner and play more often, maybe include the System Gateway or not, not sure if that's a good idea..... so much nostalgia, from years and years of watching your unboxing, data pack, and competition commentary etc. content for this amazingly unique game.
Honestly cannot remember how I found you guys. I think it was around 2015 when I was looking for X-Wing content so I could find interesting tournament lists and how they should be played. That or it was for OG Ashes. I can't quite remember. Stayed when I started watching your video podcasts and you introduced me to Arkham Horror. Following that you convinced me to pick up Netrunner, FaB and Marvel, and although Marvel never stuck for me, I still enjoy watching your videos about them. Love watching your videos on Netrunner and would love to see them every couple weeks or at least once a month. Please keep up the content, but stop playing great games because my wallet seriously cannot keep up anymore haha.
what led me to Team Covenant? Star Wars Destiny content. Got into that game hard, met you guys at the pre-release, then Xwing, Netrunner video, Keyforge, on and on.
Just started playing through Nisei so these videos have been a godsend to understand! Noob question... At 1:53:05, there's a run on HQ which has a rezzed Pharos of strength 5. How did the runner bypass the strength of 5? I think the virus counter on Leech brings the strength down but I don't see anything else that would?
It's because of the hosted Botulus on it. Each virus counter on Botulus can break a sub-routine. There were two, so he broke both the "End the run"s, but took the Give the Runner 1 tag, so he accessed HQ that way ^-^ Someone correct me if I'm wrong
I was just looking at it. I think they overlooked strenth somehow. On a breaker that's terribly expensive to pump. And even if he used leech, you need to spend the tokens from it.
@@CSMashups I got the subroutine breaking bits... but i thought to get to the subroutines they also had to break the strength of the ice first... runner didn't have any programs that did that except Leech but he didn't use it to lower the strength... fast forwarding to 2:04:45, they talk about breaking the strength of the ice. So i was wondering if they missed it on that first one.
@@Mmmroni This is what I'm thinking... that they overlooked it for that run. a subsequent run on the remote server they do consider the strength and use the leech tokens to lower it.
Found you guys with your Netrunner videos. Still collecting the FFG run even though the game is no longer "In Print." Well kind of... I am from Australia.
Hi guys, absolutely adore this channel and everything you play, especially Netrunner! I’ve also really enjoyed the one-off games you’ve trialed, like Mind Bug. You might have heard of it already, but right now on KS is a game called Worldbreakers: Advent of the Khanate that leans into NR gameplay territory. It’s even designed by a guy who worked as a play tester for NR. Anyways, just thought I’d throw this out there incase you were planning another video like Mind Bug 👍
Yes I have been obsessed with Netrunner lately. Just keep playing, all the time ;) And yes I'm late, I'm sorry :/ Oh and Arkham Horror. Stayed for Ashes ;)

Literally just watched Timmy Wong play with no cards and 1 credit the whole game and very nearly won. He's obviously some sort of elder god or something.
you guys should do a series when you start introducing a set of netrunner. Build some decks, do some games. Would be fun to watch. I think System update is the next step
Haven't played enough Gateway go really say, but Netrunner went through various metas where Corp or Runner was favored. Usually 60/40 one way or another at the most extreme.
Hey Guys can you honestly give a statement why you flooded the market with monarch what happend behind the scenes why did you hold it back while other stores needed the product - can you explain your ethical standpoint towards the larger commuity - thanky for taking that comment in consideration take care kind regards
We often have product leftover when subscription payments fail. We offer those products in various ways. In the case of Monarch - as part of a new player bundle, as sealed cases, and as individual boxes. There's no such thing as us flooding a market since we're not in control of supply. There's either a market that is accurately accounting for available supply and pricing correctly or one that isn't. There's a number of variables and unknowns in that equation, and anyone "investing" in FAB is taking on those risks. That's their business and their bet to make, but LSS is ultimately in control of supply. Making compelling offerings for different player types is our priority. When we feel that it's a good time to bring such an offering to market, and we've worked out all of the logistical work to do so, we do it. The product we were left with would not have been available to other stores to begin with, given that it was guaranteed to subscribers who we had an obligation to serve. When those payments fail, we're left with product that we then sell ala carte as we see fit. Stores interested in getting more First Edition should be asking how they can provide the most value to LSS in order to make sure that happens. All of our Monarch supply got to players, and this will continue to be the case for every set moving forward.
Zack - Yes "bloody" is a cuss or curse word, or at least it was during the 60s and early 70s when I was a kid in England - I left there for New Zealand - I and think it was in NZ too. It has lost its "power" over time. I believed "bloody" is short for "the blood of Christ", but now I'm not sure Wikipedia entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody
