Yaris hybrid starts from 17500 euros, Jazz, corolla and yaris cross from 21000 euros, chr 23500 euros.... this one from 24500 euros. I find NO reason to go for this!

Really cool car but taxation (In DK anyway) makes them outrageously expensive. 30.000£ at least..

they should have made 1.3 tce with this electric motors now that would have been a beast... like this its way too slow for longer runs.

Why are manufacturers getting DRLs looking so ugly
Just look at them on this model too strange

I am considering the Clio and the Toyota Corolla, I have the 2018 Yaris hybrid and find it to be a little on the small side and the equipment somewhat lacking

How does this car compare to the Toyota Prius (3rd Gen)? I'm not a person who knows much about cars, but we are looking to get one for traveling the city but also outdoors (dirt roads, nothing crazy). I'm stuck between the two.

BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BUY THE HYBRID VERSION. I bought one in 2022 expecting for a high mpg after reading Renault's blurb i.e. travelling 80% on electric and driving as long as possible on electric, yes that is total BS. The first few months it appeared to be okay however when the temp drops and you need to use the heating fan the ICE will work nearly continuously you will loose at least 10mpg, at first I thought the car had a fault and returned it to my local dealer, they clearly knew the problem before I turned up because they had a mechanic waiting to speak to me he explained that even the EV battery was fully charged if the electrical load i.e. your fan is on it won't switch to the EV mode until the engine is fully warmed up, so local short trips will just use the ICE, so to get around this I switch the fan off until the windscreen mists up to use the EV mode. I am currently in dispute with Renault after learning other makes of cars don't suffer from this problem.

In you’re view which one to pick Toyota Corolla 1.8 hybrid or this ? I’m just too confused to which one go for ! Thank you

@@saeedkhan-oq5gr Sorry just seen your reply, I have no knowledge of the Corolla so hard to say all I can go on is that check what is advertised compared to real life situation, perhaps try road testing both cars, but as you see by my first post I only get higher mpg in the summer or warmer months as soon as I have to use the fan I loose the EV option until the engine warms up.

But what the problem in that fact that your engine will be working in short trip on the winter? As I understood right, there is no straight connection between gasoline engine and wheels and that engine works like a generator for the battery. If you want use only EV mode in some short trips, probably best solution for you is a Plug-in hybrid. So finally the core problem I think would be that fact that you has chosen incorrect version of hybrid for your cases. Guys in the local shop don't able to say this for you, because client always right. Other cars, which you had mentioned has different hybrid technologies. That kind of stuff is not really wide known right now. I can name only Honda and Nissan with that kind of technology. But there are more higher level of price, e.g. Honda Jazz costs more than 26000 eur

@@Dmytro256 Yeah your probably right I tried to educate myself on hybrid's but foolishly I trusted the Renault web site, I don't know what it says now but when I bought the vehicle they were stating that 80% of journeys would be by the EV system, it works okay in the summer months but I loose at least 10-15 mpg in the winter, not just because it's cold but you need the fan to demist the windows, the EV battery can be fully charged but it won't switch until the engine is warm.
