I will always follow your experiences as long as you continue the beautiful coastal scenery and your consideration to followers like me in distant lands. I love your accents and voices and especially your daughter,s contribution ep 38 . It leaves me speechless with a few tears as well. Keep up the wonderful job. I know it can be difficult to always put your best on to all us strangers (we might never meet however Your my kind of people). Take care.I will keep following you two. John
Growing up in Shoreham in the 60's and missing the coast and seagulls Your trip has my attention completely. No such surroundings here in Colorado. Soldier on my precious couple 👍
@@greatbritishbikingadventures I have not missed an episode. You passed my School near the old lighthouse at the river Adur east of Shoreham before Brighton. Wouldn't miss any of your insights and coverage. From an old 75/5 rider keep safe and carry on. John
Hi Mike, later we encounter much more challenging inclines and one eventually gets the better of us. Thankfully, no real harm done. Stay tuned to hear all about it.
A wonderful smoothe bike and more wonderful coast trip. The videos includes messages from Jesus is perfect. We traveling often along the England sea and we will doing it again in future. Thanks very much and regards from Austria. Thank you soo much !! 👍👍👍👍😊
Thank you for your thoughtful words. We really appreciate it when viewers comment and love to hear a bit about you. Austria is beautiful but alas no coast! But, more than makes up for it with spectacular mountains. The evidence of a devine designer is all around us. Have you been following us for long?
@@greatbritishbikingadventures We follow since you started this wonderful coast trip and will do it also in the future. My girl and me biking this saturday ~ 1000 km from Austria to SARDINIA. Traveling around this bikerfriendly island for 2 weeks and than home again. Our crosstourer is a perfect traveling cruiser: powerful smooth V4, shaft drive, DCT, Honda quality and Australian McCruise control. We have no alternate... We wish you a save traveling. Thank's for our conversation !! 😊
@CrossDCT, You should try Whitby and Staithes, you would love them even more than Saltburn, Marske and Redcar, PS, Whitby is in Bram Stoker,s Dracula book.
@@lornaglasper6769 Hi Lorna, welcome aboard 😊 Check out the episode before this one for our take on Whitby. We also feature Staithes in one of the episodes but I'm struggling to remember which one, as you might have seen there’s quite a few and we're still going! There's a new episode of our coast trip every Friday. Thanks for watching 👀
Wow that hill was steep and you sat there’s a 40% coming up 🫣 Hopefully the DCT helped with the hill as one less thing to process 👌🏻 Your office analogy made me chuckle 😉
We took 2 unplanned turns recently, both narrow and once started had to continue - no chance of turning around or stopping. The first was downhill. When I saw the 40% I couldn't believe it. As I was riding I thought it must be wrong or my understanding of the measure was wrong but it wasn't!!! Throttled off, allowed the bike to use the engine braking and took the steepest descending corner I've ever seen. The second one didn't end so well - you'll have to keep watching to see what happened. Thankfully we were unhurt. My office is a mess.
@@greatbritishbikingadventures It,s called, "Saltburn Bank". We,ve been up and down it many, many times in a car and it always had me holding my breath. I used to wonder what it would be like in Winter and with maybe ice on it. Terrifying thought.
@@lornaglasper6769 Hello Lorna, we've just replied to your other comment. Just so you know, you've posted your comments as replies to messages left by other people. It's not a problem and often done without realising it. They will get a notification and maybe wondering why. Lovely to hear from you. You might be interested in the other 45 or so episodes of our coast trip?! Have a good day 😊
You have to stop at the bottom select low gear crawl round first bend look uptill you see a break in the traffic coming down then drive on wrong side of road to get swing then struggle up to the top,it was actually fun been up it on a motorcycle and car many a time
Looks interesting, I have never travelled North East but done most of the West. Good video as always looking forward to know about the WW1 battlefield I didn't know we had one? Our group touring your neck of the woods in 2 weeks time staying at west bay near Bridport and touring daily from there.
We'll tell you all about it next week. West Bay is great and really well located for daily ride outs. I'm sure I don't need to tell you where to go but there's just so many varying options and (with careful planning) great biking roads from start to finish. Watched your monologue on classic bikes the other day and got me thinking (and now filming) a response from a classic bike owner! It might have to wait a few months while I enjoy the weather. Let me know when you're in West Bay and perhaps I'll join you on a ride?
@@greatbritishbikingadventures We have 5 bikes and 2 cars going for 7 nights starting 22nd. I am planning to go to Tyneham village over the weekend as its open and Lulworth cove as great seafood. One of the group wants to take us to Lyme Regis as sort of childhood memory thing. If you want to join us for a ride then you are more than welcome, failing that a coffee or a shandy meet would be great.

Once again many thanks. Very interesting as usual. We’ve all been very apprehensive when stopping part way up a steep hill.
See you next week.👍👍😄

While learning to drive a double decker bus i had to go up and down saltburn bank
I bet that steep sharp corner was interesting in a double decker?
