  • A November 2019 ride from Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness with a change of trains in Perth.
Both trains were ScotRail Class 170 trains - these are comfortable with large windows but can get quite busy.
North of Perth the line through the Highlands is stunning - well worth making a special trip to ride it plus Inverness is a great city to spend time in.
Any questions or comments let me know!

This route is fantastic, I did it myself last summer along with Fort William to Mallaig and Oban to Glasgow Queen Street. Scotland's railways really are some of the most beautiful in the world and I can't wait to do Inverness to Kyle and the far north line, fingers crossed for this summer!
