Wow, very cool video! :) I remember how amazed I was when I saw a real Yamaha grand with that mechanical system that is able to play MIDI files through it - mechanically moving the keys. It was quite magical! :)
Hi Thomas! It took me a long time to figure out what “pianola” means. I couldnt’t understand how you managed to make this video (too fascinated by the melody and the moving piano keys). Really funny when I discovered the music roll 😀. Nice melody. Thx for uploading!
Thanks for watching this experimental video. I ”simply” use an app within I load my arrangement(MIDI-file) and then hit play. The app then play it automatically on the Piano Player. To make the video I use the videoscreen capture feature on my iPAD. It’s really cool that piano roll is the actual MIDI and You can view at the same time as on a real self-playing piano.
That sounds easier than I thought, but still a lot of work (after having the midi file 😀). But then you have a really nice video! So I think the experiment worked well 👍🏻
This is so cool, what is the program? Is it really called Player Piano? Have you tried keyscape or MIDIculous before? They are really good for both teaching and for getting good sound. I really like the music!
