Nah, it's accurate. The A-10's gun is by far the most overrated part of the thing. Not only is it inaccurate, but it can barely hit more modern T-62 and 72's at normal battlefield conditions i.e being Shilka'd. In a live fire test, only a few were destroyed, and others were damaged but repairable. Overall, the only reason the thing is still in service is because of the reformers, formerly under Pierre Sprey. A liar who hasd clamed to have designed the A-10 but no, it was the original designer of the P-47.

Historically, every few kills were made with the a-10s gun overall, and even fewer of theses were tank (being older tanks like the T-55 and T-54). And the credibility of these kills is very questionable.
@goldmastersims true, but with the short time on target and the inaccuracy of the GAU-8 actually killing a tank is very unlikely, but the GAU-8 is more than capable of disabling tanks, so if they really want to make the game super realistic they could add mobility kill and give the tanks gust some base modules (engine, tracks, turret drive). But I would rather have a tank just count as a normal kill. Not everything has to be 100% realistic, and I believe the developers said they are adding slightly more modern variants of aircraft that lraq didn't have in order to make the game more balanced.
