Just a personal opinion- but for what it may or may not be worth, I'm feeling a bit sad that USANA felt the need to perpetuate the "faux" looking aesthetic on this actress with what appear to be enhanced lips and giant false lashes. There are so many messages in marketing- everything from setting the standard for "beauty" to revealing who the product is meant to market itself to. I suppose I'm just disappointed to realize that a company I've considered putting my name behind has (1) perpetuated the trend towards more rather than less augmentation to the female body and (2) is clearly targeting a population that I don't (and don't want) to fit into.
It may be wrong to assume that, because their advertising sensibilities favor the fake look, that their products are likely not formulated with much, if any, commitment to safer or more natural ingredients. Fair or not, this little advert does undermine USANA's credibility and the image I held of it being a conscientious company.
I'm 38. I wear makeup and mascara every day. Plenty of my coworkers and the teens I work with wear lashes like these. I guess that's who USANA is after. I'm not a fuddy duddy or a hippy. But I AM concerned about the chemicals we put on our bodies and the equally detrimental ideals we honor as a culture. USANA has an opportunity to greatly influence people in both regards. Unfortunately, I'd be embarrassed to direct a prospective client to this. It doesn't reflect me, nor does it reflect the standards I want to uphold. Thanks to anyone who may have taken the time to read this! Whether or not you agree. It is only an opinion, after all. XO Lahna

I agree with what you have said... the female model demonstrating of the new skin care range does not represent your everyday woman. Also it seems that when the model wakes up she is wearing make up which is not realistic - plus it doesn't even seem like the products removed the make up when she cleansed her face.
I am, also disappointed that Celavive does contain fragrance (as did Sense) askthescientists.com/qa/celavive/#toggle-id-16. I personally avoided endorsing Sense because of the presence of fragrance and was hoping that the new Skin care range would not have any. Fragrance is an generic label on personal care products that may be masking up to hundreds of synthetic chemicals. Fragrance can be linked to endocrine (hormone) disruption which may interfere with the cell signalling networks of the body despite being at very low concentrations. I believe when quality plant-based ingredients and essential oils are used then there would be no need to include any fragrance to mask "unpleasant" scent of the raw ingredients.

I feel that the addition of fragrance in Celavive as a contradiction to USANA's core health values and hope that USANA scientists would consider removing it - especially if its inclusion is only to serve to improve the scent and has no scientific relevance to improving skin health - as I would disagree with the claim on Celavive FAQ that "Fragrance is an integral part of the success of personal care products"... Shouldn't it be that we need to avoid products that contain EDC's that may be absorbed into our bodies? EDCs present in fragrances may assault the cells in our bodies with free radical/oxidative damage and since our cells are constantly being bombarded with free radicals through pollution and toxins in the environment - then why add more to the burden that our bodies need to eliminate?

Maybe they should put 50 women in the mirror so everyone can be happy? NO, I think you need to look past the model and use the greatness of the product and company to fuel your love for Celavive and quit complaining, all people want to do about anything and everything these days is complain! Let's start seeing the good.

Usana supplements are one of the best in the world. But the quality of their skincare is not on par with the quality of their supplements. If you can read the ingredient list, you will know that celavive use some of not so good ingredients. Although its still better than most of drugstore brand products :)

Same here, Lahna, kind of disappointed with this video. I watched it hoping I can send the video to my friends to promote the Celavive..Nah, never mind..not a good one. I'll find another video..I hope I can find one good video promoting Celavive.
The woman here is pretty 😉 with her make-up on. Though, I think she's still pretty without it.

I've used USANA"s skin care products forever and would not ever change. Sense was the beginning of the science of skin care. Now Celavive has taken it to another level. However, I find it interesting that in the morning, she only cleaned, toned, and moisturized one side of her face and did not apply to the neck area. Then in the evening, she did the other side of her face. I feel that is not the accurate way to apply the skincare products. Disappointed.
