Loved making this cushion! Thank you Sweet Pea for another awesome In The Hoop Project that was easy, & stitched out beautifully without any issues! The only hard part, was choosing what fabrics & thread colors to use. ❤
Being new to Sweet Pea quilting designs, I purchased several during the big sale. I love appliqué, it was one that I learned when I first started embroidery. You make life so much easier with your videos. Looks like vinyl used in place of fabric when making the blue leaves? Thank you for your tutorials.
We often use a mixture of textures and fabrics to make our designs "pop" for photography. That's the great thing about appliqué, the possibilities are endless.
No, we use the cut away stabiliser in the hoop, then add a layer of batting/wadding that is trimmed back to the perimeter block line. We then layer our appliqué fabrics onto yet another layer of background fabric. Hope this makes sense.
It's just the standard "J" foot that comes with any Brother sewing machine. The larger machines do have a longer "J" foot than the more simple machines.

Thank you, I cannot wait to make this cushion - oh but what colours shall I use!!! Thank you a great design.
The question of the questions :-)
lovely project. But I have a question. When you do your applique, I notice that there is 2 layers of fabric. Do you stabilise all your fabrics?

Great demo. Thank you. What is the name of the foot on the sewing machine please that is being used to put the backing on?
