i got the Izula in green and I love it and i wrapped it in black and green paracord using this wrap and it came out great. i get alot of comliments on the knife and the wrap. thanks alot for showing how to make a great knife look as good as it works.
I like this wrap a lot. I was looking for something that looked cool, was relatively simple, and which I could quickly unwrap (i.e., no superglue, etc.) when SHTF. Wrapped my Cold Steel Trench Hawk with ca. 60 ft of paracord. This will definitely be my go to wrap henceforth. Thanks!
Beautifully done. I will likely use this technique for my Camillus Becker Necker. I currently have a very plain wrap, but this is much more attractive and should be quite comfortable too. Thanks for sharing!!
very cool wrap great instructions you took your time in explaining the clockwise /counter clock turns and I like that you tie the Para cord together instead of burning the ends together for the start of the wrap, Great Job!
I'm going to add that knife to the top of my list because of you. Seriously, it will be apart of my next order. Sweet. I will stay on the Tube to watch it. ATF
This is awesome. Thanks man. I spent some time looking for the right wrap to use on my neck knife and most of them were either extremely complicated, badly explained/presented or simply ugly. This one fits the bill, learned and applied it in just a few minutes, it looks cool and seems strong and functional too. Nice.
Had Izulas for several years and just used this wrap for the first time. Worked great. I like to wrap my blade in masking tape ever since the uh....incident. :0) Haha.
Looks good. There is a way to end the wrap that is really nice. Trying to find it. I have metal handle wrapped and loosened to copy but it is a weird not but best looking I've seen and stronger then overhand. In fact they put about four in a row and very nice. I'll keep looking but thanks much for showing the handle wrap.
Thank You 'WilliamCutting08.' That was a very informative video. I am a Disabled War Vet, Retired U.S.Marine; 'SuperSniperSal.' I will be starting my newly found hobby directly, and I was browsing through the videos, and found yours to be very informative, and user friendly. You are a good instructor, and make it very easy for a beginner like myself to follow your directions. During my career in the Corps I accumulated quite a large assortment of cutlery, and I thought that replacing the existing scales with paracord would compliment the blades very nice. If you, or anyone else out there have any suggestions please feel free to leave a reply. Please remember that I am a beginner. Thank you once again. Take care and GOD Bless!! SuperSniperSal
That is a sensational looking wrap! I'm really tempted to do this one with my Izula. I have a black one, and I have grey/white paracord, and blue/white. I reckon that would look very cool. But I have the same question as I had with the basketweave wrap, how does it stand up under use? Does it shift around?
Great tutorial and I love this wrap, but it doesn't work well on rounder handles. I have a machete handle that needs a bit more grip and it's already rounded, so if you do this wrap it's a lot easier for it to become unraveled because the crossed part (where it comes to an X) can shift. Your 360 wrap in the other vid fixes the shifting problem, but I don't like the feel. Would love something that stays in place and feels nice. Any suggestions?
very cool but if you want to fit more para chord you should've weaved them through the hole of the handle and it might have even looked cooler. but still nice

Looks nice. You should have a separate channel just for all your Izula wraps. Keep 'em coming.

Put this on mine a few months ago. Still doin great. Thanks!
thank you!
After a few tries I got it down and the knife looks great.
thanks a bunch.
I'm getting a custom made kiridashi and I want to wrap the cord around it like this so this video helped a lot, thanks. ;)
This was a good wrap. Just a suggestion, if u wanted there looked like there was room for snare wire up the center of the wrap. What do u think ?
Nice looking wrap.
Excellent! I like this technique a lot. Thanks for the great video!
Very clear demonstration, thanks!
You have great vids! Perhaps you could post a vid of that? I'm picking up a Becker Necker soon and can't wait to try some wraps :)
your videos are sick ....thanks to you im gunna buy a few rat izula's and wrap them up haha

Thank you this video was really helpful i used it on one of my custom made knifes.
Is that knot also called a fisherman's knot? That's how I always heard it. Great video!
wow that does look comfortable to use :D
this is probably a dumb Q. but can you finish the ends with a cobra lanyard knot as long as you have enough cord left(without having to cut the cord)?
@rapsta30 it's a common handle, usually on neck knives.
Great video. Thank you for the ideas
Very Nice looks cool too...
sweet.. i need to learn how to upload videos so i could show u mine.. good work
vry nice video dude. can't wait to try it thos on.
Do you mean five feet of paracord total, or five feet of each color?
i think you should wrap handle with extra cord and make lanyard one piece.
what kind of paracord do u recommend to use for wrapping knife handles?
how secure is that wrap? it looks like it'll slip nearer the blade.
I like the fact that you can actually see the tang of the knife... damn, I got an orange izula and I want to show it! :P
That is f**king sick, dude!
God, I need an Izula.
ATF
If you're really adventurous you can do a 2 strand diamond knot at the end.
And thanks for the shout-out, bro!!
Great vid! Thanks.
Well done. :)
where do u get ur paracord?
yo man can u teach me how to wrap knuckel brass?
that knot at the start of the vid is also called the single fishermans knot... random thought
@IDONTKNOW454 it's an ESEE Izula
wrapping looks cool but i hate the way that starting point looks like...
I’m sorry you got that wrong, you’re close but you have to twist it twice and then flip to the other side and repeat. Or just do a regular wrap.
Just like that. :P haha just messin. Good job man.
@loku1125 No it's not a fishermans knot is way more complex that that LOOK IT UP
very cool but if you want to fit more para chord you should've weaved them through the hole of the handle and it might have even looked cooler. but still nice
Is that gutted paracord you're using?
It's not gutted but you can use gutted if you'd like
I know the eight knot. It's really secure
😊раритетный видосик😎👍
The wrap looks awesome, but that grip looks suspect as hell. I wouldn't use that grip if I needed to use the knife for something serious.
take out the filament on your paracord.
Err, I meant playlist.
I have very sweaty hands, cord handles feel gross
Then don't use them? Use leather if you prefer.
No clue of doing paracord.
the proper name is fishermans knot
Cockeyes?
Fois job
RAT Izula
That is called a love knot that you started with, an over hand knot to end it with is lame, this wrap will fail.
