To be fair, bread in the US wouldn't be stale, because it's full of so much preservatives.
It depends on the location. Some are better staffed and managed than others.

When I got married I asked my wife that as part of our vows she would stop me from ordering KFC when I'm drunk coz it always seems like a good idea until you actually get it and the chips suck and it's shit. Lol.
It's an event of note when you get KFC chips that aren't soft. Nice to know this isn't just an Australian issue, ay least.

Just to add to that comment I once ordered gravy in KFC as a side. Came down to the table to eat my meal. Realised the guy gave me a sweetcorn instead of gravy. I went back up and asked why and the guy said well we ran out of gravy so I gave u sweetcorn instead. How the fluke is that even a substitute for gravy. Lol

In Japan, going to KFC on Christmas is a BIG thing. Thanks to some aggressive marketing it has become a tradition.

Most likely that sandwich spent too long in the area that keeps sandwiches warm if they make a bunch ahead of time for mealtimes and stuff. It wasn't so much stale bread, as it was bread that had sort of 'cooked' and lost all its moisture in the warming area.
I work there and the procedure is to hold the item for 5 minutes. After that it generally tastes awful😂
Yeah when I went to McDonald’s I had a burger with a bun like that.. not gonna lie I quite liked it because it added a bit of texture hahaha
Chances are they just didn't toast the bread for the burger, I work there, the bread is stale before its toasted. but generally soft afterwards
The Carlz0r I work in McDonald’s and the bread is most likely stale, sometimes the buns aren’t covered correctly overnight and when they buns are left in the holding areas the bread usually goes soggy rather than hard

They have the best sides. Their chicken is kind of meh to me though.
Though it could just be the KFCs in my area aren't that great...=(
After not eating it for almost 10 years I'll say it's gotten better, but Popeyes/Chick Fil A is far better
Also most KFCs around me have A&Ws included with them, so at least there's some variety.
My local KFC doesn't even make chicken that's fully battered. The only crispy item on the menu is popcorn chicken (OVERCOOKED).
The best places to get fried chicken, locally, are Carl's Junior and a fried fish restaurant.

One thing to note is that KFC do have a breakfast menu in the UK and i've tried it. Only selected places tho, I used to have a breakfast burger thing which consisted of 1 chicken fillet egg bacon cheese and it was actually quite nice!
I've kinda fallen off the KFC chicken wagon as the years have gone by, but the biscuits are still a very solid cold-day comfort food of sorts. A nice, basic offering that'll keep you warm without... y'know, the side effect of violent diarrhea.

It happens more often than you think , I worked there many moons ago and we ran out loads of times in the 6 month I worked there , its interesting trying to tell customers theres no chicken all you get is " How can KFC not have chicken" ..... If you buy any more sandwiches I'd definitely check them before you leave. Haven't ate at KFC since I was in high school, so a good 15 years now. But I always loved the KFC chicken bowl (the mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken, corn, mix).
Interesting! Here in Singapore KFC does do breakfast and quite a wide selection too. Personally I prefer the Filipino chain jolibee.

The mighty bucket for one is listed at 1,155 on the website yes. But that isn't including 150 (!) for the dip and extra for the large fries. So it was probably more along the lines of 1,350-1,400 for your first meal.

I used to work at kfc. the bread goes like that after it has been sitting in the draw for too long( it is heated from the bottom to keep the bread warm and soft), you should have called up and complained

0:36 No you're correct. When I was a kid in the late 80s early 90s, American KFC was a much nicer product. It slowly slid down in quality over the years and now it's rather poor.
I'm jealous of you guys, Canada, and Japan actually having good KFC. I have a Slim Chickens down the way so it all works out tho

As someone who works there the best burger is a zinger with coleslaw, 2 cheese, super charger sauce, hash brown, bacon and sweet chilli sauce. You probably can order it if you ask but it's not exactly on the menu

My local KFC was across the road from a major train station and racecourse. RIP that KFC on Caufield Cup Day. Strangely a lot of skinny international students loved it.
The two closest KFCs to me both shut down in the last 5 years due to repeated health Inspection violations. The local one was known as where you went to be out of work the next day because food poisoning was guaranteed.

I know of 2 KFC’s that do breakfast. The one on the M25 at Cobham Services and Gatwick airport which is also open 24/7. Breakfast is basically a mini filet in a bun with bacon.
