Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and week. We are trying to do yard work but the weather lately has not been co-operating. Its either so humid, you can't move or it rains. Keeping our fingers crossed the weekend it won't rain or is not too hot. I guess right now it has been a mixed bag weather wise. I wish I could sit down to read a book. I am hoping once the summer is over with and the fall sets in I can look at all my books that I have in a pile in one of the spare rooms. I will catch you later. Hugs :)
One thing about rainy weather, it makes it easy to weed! I rush out after it's done raining and start pulling! LOL! To me every season is a good one for reading! Maybe start with a nouvella that's not overwhelming like a longer book. Or maybe a book with some short stories in it. Have a good one!
Great reviews, it sounds like you had a wonderful reading month. The cover of Only the Beautiful is so pretty, for such a hard read especially. The Luminaries and Spells for Forgetting have been on my want to read lists since I first heard of them. I read the very secret society last year and I loved it too. I’m currently reading Emily Wilde and loving it. I hope to pick up her second book very soon. We have similar reading tastes so I always look forward to your reviews. And I am loving your earrings!! Thanks for great reviews as usual. We did the potato famine at school in history, I remember. Our UK government haven't really come too far since then, apparently being homeless in UK 2024 is a 'lifestyle choice' . Sorry for getting political but the divide here is widening in a scary way. As you say, humans don't learn from their mistakes.
No worries! I don't mind getting political. When the majority are suffering or working so hard to get by while a small handful are making the decisions, and living in luxury, it ticks me off. It seems more and more like people are losing touch with reality and what's really important. Thanks so much for watching!
