I think it is a really good idea to play the game without a specific goal in mind. Maybe you could do some small things to shake things up a bit? For example: - You try to change your formation/tactic each summer window to experiment and explore the changes in FM25. - Change training schedules each season to see what works best. - Try one season where you let the scouting team and director of football influence most of the transfers. - Try one season where you try to rely more on player performance, statistics, and reports when selecting your team and purchasing players. I don't suggest that you put rules on your playthrough, but rather that you try to explore the game and test different playstyles. If you don't have time to do several large saves, then there is always the opportunity to do a little bit of everything in one save.
This is exactly why I follow you. You have fun with the game just as you play it. Really liked the Larisa save, not because of the successes, but because it was long term and I saw that you liked to commit to it. Congrats on the new job! I’ll probably do another build a nation Greece with AEK (as always) and building up my other favorite club Feyenoord.
I love a journey person save, they are the best from a story point of view. Would love some catch up in youtube, not all of us have the time to watch streams for hours!
Catch up episodes would be great, I agree. I can’t expect everyone to have a few hours spare. They do however, take a bit of time to produce and edit, and given the changes to my personal circumstances I don’t know how regularly I could get them made and uploaded. As a general query, how often would you as a viewer be expecting to see a stream round up, just so I can see whether it would be doable or not.
@tonyjamesonFM Personally, I wouldn't have a fixed time that an update comes - but maybe a set in game point? Every Season, every two? I don't know how long a season takes on stream. Mine take weeks with the little time I get to play 😂
@@tonyjamesonFM First season a bit more detail to show what the plan is, etc and then significant events throughout (changing clubs/countries, breakout stars, big transfers, cups etc).
Sounds good mate. I feel the same way about a FM25 save without the challanges. We've had 24 now for so long i have done every challange in the books. I'm just looking forward to some normal gameplay on a new FM, with your podcast in the background ofcourse!
Appreciate you mate, and love that you multi task with the podcast too. You're right, this game should feel fresh, so lets bring a fresh way of playing.
Ultimately do what makes you happy. Trying to follow the crowd will see content made that you don’t enjoy and it’ll show like it does for others. IMO just produce things based off what you enjoy. While I appreciate a smidge of planning has to go into it the best content created is when your enjoying. Keep smashing it
OH MY! I tought u where retiring mate! Actually, this is a correct decision for you and your content, family and time managment. Put all your energy into the stream! Ill be there for all the fun:)
Im just glad Twitch finally allowed it! Felt bad that I had an audience on YT who couldnt watch the streams. Who knows where the save will take us next year, maybe we'll end up back at Posh. Fingers crossed.
All sounds pretty good and reasonable. I think given the potential problems (bugs, missing features, etc) and shortness of the cycle (will FM26 launch in November or be delayed?), setting a time limit might make sense. Of course if you're having lots of fun then carry on, but having a few end goals in mind makes sense I think. You have to make videos you enjoy I think too, if you don't enjoy it it will come across in the videos.
Potential problems is exactly my thinking. No game is bug free, especially a brand new one in a series. I guess ultimately, we'll see what happens. As you say, its all about doing what I enjoy. If Im not enjoying it, you'll all be able to tell and you'll stop watching.
Exactly how I play FM every single year, start unemployed and just enjoy the game, see where it takes me, and have fun. Have loved doing my own Pentagon challenge, but as you say, it sometimes starts to feel like an actual job! More importantly, congrats on the new job Tony, that's awesome news 🎉
Journeyman around the world the silent Pentagon 😅sounds good! For me the big worry i have is them getting rid of the option to move the save over. Hope they keep that and they better improve International management for FM26! All the best for FM 25 mate.
Hey Tony! Since it's a brand new game, what if your FM25 save took on the persona of an actual "brand new" manager? A bloke from the stands finally backs up all his shouting by getting in the dugout. They don't really know what they're doing, so they figure it out one season at a time. Season 1 is figuring out tactics. Season 2 is recruiting. Season 3, he starts paying attention on the training pitch, etc. So by the time your team is playing in the Champions League, you are full on Arsene Wenger, rather than the loudmouth from the stands all those years ago. One thing I noticed with FM24 saves is all these 'experts' started with no badges. But they still know the game inside and out. It's a level playing field now. 😊PS - Sounds like you're in a good place, in life and with FM. Good for you. 💖
I quite like the idea in a way. It would make the game feel very long, BUT, there's a good bit of thinking behind it. Let me ruminate on that for a while cos you might be onto something...
I love your content because you're a normal bloke, playing football manager in a similar way to me. You're a streamer, not a youtuber. There's no need for any gimmicks. No clearing out three quarters of your team each season. Just play the game and show me bits and pieces. Tell the story every season. Let us get favourite players and be heartbroken when they retire. Respect the point.
Mate, you've been here from the beginning and I appreciate that. You're absolutely right, Im a streamer, so lets not try and play at being a TH-camr, lets do the thing Im good at... embracing the sack 😂
100% mate. Theoretically there should be a much bigger audience available on FM25. The challenge is getting that audience to understand that you can watch streams on YT aswell.

Sounds like a great idea! Bring it on!!
Love this! Really appreciate the support here dude. Passports at the ready, we’re going on an adventure.
Love that you stream on TH-cam so I can watch at work. Would love to see you start back at Posh for FM25. Go wherever it takes you from there
Im just glad Twitch finally allowed it! Felt bad that I had an audience on YT who couldnt watch the streams. Who knows where the save will take us next year, maybe we'll end up back at Posh. Fingers crossed.
Sounds a great idea, an on going story with no specific ending, less pressure then just see where it goes
Stories first - pressure last. Best way to play the game.

Congrats on the new job, funnily enough going into FM25 with no job makes sense after taking a new real life job!

Streaming on TH-cam is good aswell as fm25 news videos
I’m bored of fm24 so not watching much content unless it’s related to fm25
100% mate. Theoretically there should be a much bigger audience available on FM25. The challenge is getting that audience to understand that you can watch streams on YT aswell.
Sounds good fella. Your full time job/ Income must always take priority, It would be bizarre for anyone to be upset with this choice.
100% mate. I've got too many things that I'm not prepared to give up now. This isn't my job, and isn't going to be. Its fun. So lets have fun.
Journeyman save sounds good
Glad you agree pal. I feel like its the best way for me to play
Take it back to the narrative! Congrats on the new job - work that's enjoyable sounds like an oxymoron to me!
All about the narrative, absolutely. Thank you for your kind words about the job mate, Im very excited.
