    路面電車からの眺め、良いですね!
    色々な乗り物の前面展望動画があるけど、
    路面電車からの視界が一番好きです。

Judging from the number of voices in the background, the people getting on at most stations, and the number of trams going the other way, this must be a popular service in town. I throughly enjoyed this ride!

Thank you for your comment. This route passes through the city center three times along the way. Passengers change there. Hakodate's trams used to have longer routes, but most of them have been removed. Now this is the only route that remains, which is proof of the large number of passengers.

Thank you for another lovely video. As with each of your production, I enjoyed it very much. I like the city ride. I noticed that vehicles and people cross the track while the tram is in motion. Doesn't this cause a safety concern. I guess the residents of Hakodate are accustomed to such hazards.

It's unsettling to see a pedestrian crossing in front of a train. But the pedestrian is calm. Although it's not in the lens, the pedestrian signal is showing green. Train stops are always accompanied by traffic lights that give directions to trains and pedestrians.

We know why the city is quite. Most every one is on that tram. Here in Melbourne we have a large tram network. Having the longest tram route in the world at 22.8 kilometers . On a lot of the routes cars and trams share the road, which makes driving a bit more interesting. Hakodate comes across as provincial city compared to Tokyo.

Hakodate City has a population of 230,000. I think it is on the small side compared to major cities around the world. However, that doesn't mean I think this city is difficult to live in. I have lived in Tokyo and Yokohama, but I long for a city with a population of about 500,000.
