I have really been looking forward to this! Let's take an in depth look at the brand new Saitek Farming Simulator wheel, pedals and console!

Had mine for 2 years and still works, after spending 6 months In a box with weight from the side panel and pedals including abuse from my chair. It's a decent price of kit.

My ultimate forestry setup would be to have dual joysticks, one mounted on each arm rest to control the crane and then a steering wheel and pedals to control the machine itself. Then maybe an additional button panel or something if needed to control the rest of the functions. Though many joysticks come with buttons on the base so i'm not sure that would be needed.
As it is though i use a 360 controller to control forestry equipment. Actually works pretty well when you use both sticks at the same time to get fluid movement :)
I think the twist on the joystick will open things up like bale grabs when using the telehandler

That looks like a lot of fun. I love the way the wheel returns to centre when you let go and it doesn't make annoying noises like the g27 and other force feedback wheels do.

I got mine delivered on Wednesday. Cant use it as the clamp wont fit my desk. Quite disappointed.
Looking like i will need to buy a new desk to facilitate the Saitek equipment.

Looks better then the prototype thats for sure now i have seen the control panel with the joystick i think i might have to get one. just to let you know the Scorpionking will only cut the popular or the fir cant remember which one though lol. Great video cant wait to see how you get on with it over the next couple of videos

@Daggerwin, Hi dude, really nice unboxing. Gonna buy this in the start of the new year myself. Around 17:20 you said you could go backwards, if you missed a vehicle. Actually, you can do that with the keyboard too. Just press Shift + Tab and it goes the other way around (y) :)

The little scroll wheel reminds me of the scroll wheel which controls the height of hydraulic link arms on the Massey Ferguson 6480 we have.

the sticks in the middle are called thumbsticks and the little arrow things are called. d pads.

No, you can set it up using saiteks software & use it with any game. (that is if its like other saitek products I've owned, which it will be lol)
I know this comments a little late but in real life it isn't as simple as gas and break. There's a clutch primary gears and secondary gears and throttle. Then the front loader isn't that simple. Also there isn't "switches" to control implements theres hydraulic switches and pro turn on

wow how good is that. it is going to make forestry much easier on the pc. it not too bad using and Xbox controller when doing forestry. Brilliant can not wait too see it in action once you have set it up. ☺☺☺☺. 10/10 for the un boxing mate.

+Daggerwin hi dagger I have a prob I have got a gtx970 gpu and am getting screen tear but b4 I reset my pc bk to shop settings my pc was ok on any map I was getting 50 fps all the time no higher no lower can you help me get it bk to that plz or what do I do to stop that I play on high settings all the time and had no prob's last time only since I reset my pc back to factory settings plz help mate :(

GREEK GAMER too much.. it's a piss poor build I'm on my 6th wheel and 2nd set of pedals all swapped on warranty.... but they only give the standard 12 months and won't offer a new warranty on the replacements... the first one broke within 8 hours of un boxing

I don't know if you covered it or not but you can click the analogue sticks as well. I know one changes the view. Im interest in this but will prob get a g27 - want to play truck sim as well

Now you have the chance to test the new wheel thoroughly. What is your opinion Is it better than the g27. Over here in the States it is about $50 more. ( the Saitek that is ). So is it $50 better?

Nice video - been waiting for reviews on the unit before spending the cash, so far looks like a good buy. Hope you do a follow up once you get the controls sorted and have a few games on the unit. If you have a chance/opportunity/inclination can you give it a test on ETS2 and let us know how it works with that?

My honest opinion is the side panel is fantastic and really improves the gameplay experience but I would recommend using a different steering wheel and pedals e.g. a Logitech G27
