The staff room mirror in grunty Industry is just another room in reverse, including a separate Banjo with reverse controls. Pecking at the wall or mirror you can see them poke through.
I love Tooie, had played it so much when I was a kid. There tecnological upgrade from Kazooie to Tooie were impressive, i can't understand how many people dislike so much Tooie.
Nobody really dislike it, it's only some people who prefer the previous game especially because there was far less backtracking asked (i'm part of them, but i still liked both games !) Also i think many people were disappointed by the stop'n'swop features not really effective between the 2 games (or even DK64), but maybe am i the only one being disappointed by that ? It was like a kid's dream which has been stolen. Moreover i think many levels in Kazooie are extremely comfy, especially click clock wood.
I think everyone agreeds that Tooie wipes the floor with nearly all N64 games. But the thing with Banjo -Kazooie was not smoke & mirrors, it was extremely well paced platformer. Tooie is too big for it's own good to keep things intense.
I agree. I loved how they extended the camera view, made it smoother, and how colors were more vibrant in general. I mean, they even added an option of WIDESCREEN in such an old game. Also, animations were much more expressive as well. Kazooie felt like it had actual weight against Banjo.
The amount of small details like the shadows that you showed in the video proves why this game is still a gem to this day. The love and dedication that was put during the development of this game is what makes it an impressive and amazing game even many years after its release
If it's one thing I've known about RARE, it's that they really put their all into any game they make, be it Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, or even Sea of Thieves. I've got the RARE replay collection, and some of the extras you can unlock on there talk about how much passion the RAREware Devs put into their games. One extra talked about the making of Viva Pinata, and the guy who wrote music for it mentioned that the final product of the soundtrack almost moved him to tears. They really know how to write iconic music that fits the theme of the game they make. It's a shame that Microsoft isn't letting them have more freedom to make new games, and only focus on Sea of Thieves. I would love for them to revisit some of the older titles if they were given a chance.
Fun facts: If you rat-a-tat tap the mirror in Grunty Industries worker’s quarters, you see a Kazooie head stick out due to the reflection model Randomly in said worker’s quarter’s, the occupied Bathroom will have a light with a CHR talking Thanks to the models resource, the crushers in GI actually have eyes and appear to be sentient (like most things) There was something I learned recently playing BT on Switch but can’t remember off the top of my head 😅
The first Mr. Fit challenge can also be cheesed with Clockwork Kazooie Eggs, fire one up to the top and hold forward and you can just walk over the bar and win the challenge As far as rare occurrences, there's a 1/100 chance when you enter the worker's quarters in Grunty Industries that one of the always locked doors will have a light underneath it. Walk up to it and you'll hear a worker complaining about his toilet troubles
In the N64 version, i have done two weird things in the toxic waste area in Grunty Industries. 1: By constantly jumping out of the toxic water, i was able to get to the other side with no abilities needed. 2: By using Shack Pack to reach the bottom, i got close to the jiggy behind the bars, and managed to use Pack Whack before the water ejected me, grabbing the jiggy.
It may have been covered already by you, but I remember one fun thing in the staff room of grunty industries... The mirror reflection on the wall is not a reflection at all, but rather an actual reverse replica of the room, including Banjo with his movements reversed. If you peck or barge (or breathe fire) in front of the wall with the mirror, the other Kazooies head will poke through.
In the places where you're expected to use the snooze pack,, like the crusher or stomping plains, will always take you to 1 HP regardless. So you can just heal to 2 and survive another hit rather than wait to reach full health
What's weird is I just started a replay on retroarch and the game looks so sweet upscaled! I find out everyone else is replaying and banjo content is being created. I think we have a hive mind.
I still think Bottles’s other kid’s red hat with the Z on it was a reference to Ash’s hat in the Pokemon anime, given the time the game came out. That, or my Pokemon obsession just made me see what’s not there.
If you stop by while saber man is sleeping...he'll say some stuff...and when you go to help him he says 'i could use a cup o tea and 40 winks' that 40 winks part is a nod to the game 40 winks... Edit: also in with bottles family..there are jet force gemini posters of juno, vela and lupus on the walls...jet force gemini is my fave n64 game ❤
It is amazing how many small details Rareware would pack into their games! I think they even beat Nintendo themselves with squeezing as much graphically out of the N64 that it could handle. Granted, it did compromise the framerate usually, but those lighting effects were some of the best on the system! I'm wondering if Rareware could have even optimized things with the Expansion Pak or if even that would not have helped alleviate some of the game's performance issues.
The fact they the XBOX devs left the Donkey Kong plush in the game is astounding. They could've easily replaced it with something Xbox related but they didn't
6:03 I tried doing this (via the Switch Online release) and it didnt work for me. Am I doing something wrong? Or does this glitch only work on the original cartridge?
Are there any known facts about the dragunda enemies from Banjo Tooie in the remake, or did they remain the same in both versions? Believe it or not, I'm actually too scared to look it up haha
If i recall correctly, Zelda OoT was supposed to have those shadows reflection on the floor, especially in the fairies rooms, but they get rid of it saying it was asking too much performance for the N64 and now i see that banjo tooie was able to do it without even using the Expansion Pack. I think Rare was by far superior to Nintendo in making games, back in those days.
Two things I never get tired of 🤯Looygi Bros blowing my mind every time and the BK trilogy 🤠Good on you for #8 popular demand, spectacular video!💕
there is no trilogy! 🤦🏽♂️

Sir, 3 videos on Banjo-Tooie, you have my respects. Amazing is not enough.

Loving this Banjo Tooie series. Please do more!
This game is my childhood
I can't imagine a N64 era without Rare. Without them, the N64 would have been quite "meh".
They were the music makers. And they were the dreamers of dreams.
3:14 Dunno why that technique reminds me of that rolling technique in the Donkey Kong Country series.

I love old video games the amount of detail put into them makes them better than no detail but better graphics

There’s also the fact he dreams of riding a dolphin which was the GameCubes development name.
What is the connection between 40 winks and Rareware though? They are both British but is that it?
@@thecoolman839 Honestly I don’t think it’s a reference to the game it’s more of a general British term

Thank you for making Banjo Tooie videos 🙏
The Banjo clone is actually really creepy! I recoiled ever so slightly when it slid across the floor like a piece of furniture.
1:33 If I may ask. Is there a significance to the stop watch being 1: 14?
Do you mean brazier instead of "bracer"?
I'm glad we didn't need to beat the old Sabreman game to get his jiggy, like how DK64 did with Donkey Kong and Jetpac.
What a coincidence that this video came out just as I finished the other 2 videos about BT
What I like most of your videos is that you don't need to talk to explain anything, and the info is very interesting 👍🏻
Love those Videos ❤ great job
I like the obscure things more. Half of these are just skips and/or speedrun strats.
That Banjo clone one looks pretty interesting! I might have to try it.
The banjo clone it woulda been funny if Mrs B started screaming from seeing two Banjos
Exploiting Banjo's abilities to get extra jumps was one of my favorite things to do in this game.
4:14 - they gave the plush derp eyes in the 360 version.
God, this game was ahead of its time
I remember playing Tooie on the original N64 and in Boggy's Igloo I gave his son Groggy the Hot Fish and the game froze too.😅😂😂
4:22 Wait! You can tip toe towards it?! I’ve always done the brazier method!
Even if removing the tie was harder to remove than changing the eye texture, I'm surprised they didn't change the tie/fur color as well. 🤷🏻♂️
Just finished my second playthrough of tooie on my switch...never knew u can jump after doing the 🎒 attack
4:40 That's how I originally did it. I only later discovered you're supposed to tiptoe across.
That's really something. I think I tried it myself a few times, but could never do it.
I think I tried doing the back-wack to get across the crusher, but I never could do it.
