mine cost 30,000 new it is now 2018 and I paid 400 $ and it has 186,000 miles on it.It needs a tune up and a few tires. Nice score for me. Runs like new.
@PIchillin456 the cruise control didn't work anymore, the power sliding doors worked when they felt like it, and quite frankly it is incredibly ugly. My Taurus hasn't given me a bit of trouble. It's been a rewarding purchase, even three years later the car is running beautifully.
Standard features include front air conditioning, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio controls, cruise control, 6-way power driver seat, and compass. Options include dual-zone climate controls, leather upholstery, 8-way power driver seat, iPod adapter, 6-disc CD changer, memory system, heated front seats, outside-temperature indicator, premium sound system, DVD entertainment system, power liftgate, and rear air conditioning. I have a Taurus X with all options. It cost me about $44,000.
I don't care if the Taurus X has less space. This is a way better car than the Toyota Sienna. Having driven both long distance this is by far a higher quality, faster, more enjoyable car to drive with more features. I personally own a 2008 Taurus X Limited AWD and it's much better than the 2006 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD that I drove from Washington, DC to Boston Mass. The Sienna's transmission was easily confused and it wandered on the hwy. The stereo was already shot and there were creaks...
Ford Taurus X is really comfortable in motion. But Toyota will be more durable. I am just thinking either to sale mine snd go for Toyota. Just gat is less than 1 yr now with 191kM But it cost too much to fix..
@@brightima279 I made this comment 10 years ago lol. Siennas are great vans. I'd highly recommend one. If you aren't going for a brand new van then I'd recommend you go for the 3.5L V6 models. The older models with the 3.0L and 3.3L run a timing belt whereas the 3.5L uses a chain that's essentially maintenance free. Also the 3.5L is significantly more powerful.
After 2007 ford stopped namming cars with “star” in the name. I guess they felt those were their unsuccessful models or unlucky models. However I liked when they used “star” in the name of the car.
@PIchillin456 and rattles everywhere. The car took forever to get to temperature (a serious problem in Boston), lacked power on the highway, was surprisingly difficult to drive, the sonar was better left off (the owner of the car backed into a pole that the car didn't sense and it would beep for apparently no reason, the stability control was a complete joke (it simply told you if you were slipping and did nothing to help you, I couldn't adjust the seats in a comfortable position...
Lol fords don’t break down my grandfather swore by em I listened to people and stayed away. When I went through about 7 cars in 3 years he got me in a Ford and it only needed a belt in the 2.5 years I had it. Never broke down and turned to be the best vehicle I had. Guess it really depends if the prior owner kept up with all the servicing
i own one and still on the road 10 years later
How has it held up?
It's 2021 and I love my T-Rex ! This is the second one I've owned !
Just bought my second one. Love it!
I am so sick and tired of people complaining about ford... If you don't like ford, DON'T WATCH THE VIDEOS!!!!!
MySamisbest agreed
Have you driven a Ford lately

It was mentioned to be in the mid teens in the city and mid twenties on the highway.

Philip- yes their the same car but different powertrains I prefer the duratec 3.0 to the 3.5 because of durability and long life span
I love my freestyle but the Taurus x is intriguing.
Aren't they the same car?
@@falsealarmno the Taurus X has a normal automatic transmission instead of a CVT
@@falsealarmno they may resemble each other, but the updated drive train of the X blows the Freestyle out of the water.

Do you still have it? Are the parts for this car still available in case of maintenance and stuff?
Roof top box negates any extra storage space the Sienna has. Vans suck.

Love mine! 😋😬
Still?
What is the gas milesage on this Taurus X. It never said.
You could have googled that question,,if you use your brain
You don't have to be a dick head. How about you use your brain and just answer the question dumbass
@@SonofGodly clearly your brain lacks common sense

A lot of the seven passenger version of the 2008 Ford Taurus X Limited. I don't like the SE, SEL models.
@iamthestig1 Sure...satellite radio is worldwide.
@irolliamvolvo Same vehicle with a different nameplate as well as some bugs worked out...
Looks like ford tries to make a Forester.
Wish there was cooled seats
We just bought one ladt night 1100
15 mpg city. ouch
Jason ford is my favourite
Jason I like the freestyle
3.5L v6
NO thank,,,
i dont like this car
Jeep grand chrerokee all day. Ford =fix or repaired daily
Them jeeps are worth it either ,,I know I work on them all day,,anything chrysler makes today is junk from the door.
Jeep is Fiat Junk if you want a Real Jeep get an Old one
5 vs 7 passenger.

You can repair the Fords, but the Jeeps have to go to the Junkyards.
