Rare's games really stand out on the NES. They have such a unique style.

One of my all time favorite NES games... was also one of my first. Hated it at first, but as I learned to play it & the better I got at it, I loved it more and more.

I didn't use to care for NES games, but because you review them I will watch them and kind of want to play the ones you recommend. If that is not unique TH-cam experience, I don't know what is. Awesome work Snes Drunk!

You can hear shades of the Donkey Kong Country music in the soundtrack for this game, it's really cool. Good video, drunk!

Ah, one of my favorite NES games! So glad you decided to highlight this, it's one I've enjoyed quite a bit over the years. I just love how atmospheric it is. Also can be a bit creepy at times, like many good Sci-Fi NES games were. I actually had an email correspondence with Ste Pickford (the designer) going on for a while. I sent him the original US commercial for the game and he had never even seen it before, which I found interesting. I was trying to get an interview, although he said he wasn't interested *sigh*.

Love this one, still own it, and occasionally break it out to play. A gem in my books.

This was my first game on NES. Even today still brings happy memories, the feeling being alone in space and the happy melody when you turn on the map.

Hey SNES drunk, if you enjoyed this game, checkout Subterrania for the Megadrive.

I think it would be fantastic if you made a list of your top thirty or forty NES games, similar to the SNES list you put out. I'm really curious to know which games you'd choose!

David Wise is the man. I tried this a few years ago and gave it up pretty quick because i looked more like a pinball navigating the map. Will have to give it a more patient try some day!

It's weird but even now, a good 25+ years since I last played this, I can STILL remember the feeling of weight while trying to fly while carrying heavy items that were swinging around. The physics in this game were so realistic for the time (maybe even still for today? Not a gamer anymore so don't know). I never came close to completing this game. It was so difficult but in a GOOD way. It required skill. But I fondly remember it as being my "go to" game when I needed a break from Super Mario Bros. It had a great atmosphere and awesome music.

Thanks for covering this awesome game! I really liked Galak-Z and was wondering why it's gameplay felt so fun and familiar and then I realized that it was the control similarities to Solar Jetman!

Whenever I see this game I instantly can't help but to think of the band Nerd Army and their cover of the best song in this game. What a music video too!
