Toms MOm and dads reaction to the food is soooo priceless! I would love to have them on our dining table and watch them savor all the food! Also what I love with Tom and Kim, they have helpers or the " ates" with them who help take care of the kids. And they don't treat them differently! Even with what they eat, it's the same for the ates. They even saved portions for them. I mean sad to say, I know a lot of people that would not treat their help that way..... What they eat would be different for what they would give their "ates". Hope this gesture can rub off to others who treat their "ates" differently.

A few years ago, when to the Philippines. I experienced a "boodle fight" themed restaurant and it was the best feast ever. I would love to go back to the Philippines again. Love watching your vlogs. Beautiful family. It's nice to see your parents enjoying their holiday and learning/experiencing the Filipino culture ❤

My parents told me that it's for the banana leaves to be disinfected or to be cleaner, and for them also to be softer or pliable and for them to minimize getting torn into smaller pieces, most especially if you'll going to fold them to cover food products like lunch, snacks or native delicacies, or for anything else.
Bibingka and puto bumbong is good with coffee, chocolate and tea. That is usually eaten after the christmas mass (simbang gabi) in the early morning.❤🇵🇭

When i was little, when we had to travel to go to the nearest bank which was like 5hrs away, my grandmother would always bring rice covered in a banana leaf. The bus ride was so long with no ac. One of my fondest memories of my childhood.
