@@d-nice2866 the weight of the maxx and the dual profile tires are what cause it. The tall soft flexible outside wall of the stock tires roll under cornering load and shift the mass that cause most turnovers. Going with a 3.8 lp 1/2 inch offset tire helps tremendously.
I have both and use the Hoss to bash around in the yard or just for a quick run. The Maxx on 4S with WideMaxx kit is my main basher. Good to have choices. I like jumping the Hoss, get good air. Thanks for the video.
Same, the Hoss is much more usable in small-medium size spaces with the shorter wheelbase. My Maxx V2 needs a rather large area to really enjoy but its equally fun when you do. I use the Hoss much more because It's better suited for the size of my backyard
I do love both but I want a light weight smaller truck to bring along in my vehicle so I can find and enjoy little bash spots when I have free time. For me the Hoss is perfect I think! This was a great video with some great comparison tests. And that beach looks like a great place to run rc cars.
I think the person operating the controller has a lot more to do with it I have seen videos of people with xmaxx where they function flawlessly on jumps and are easily controlled

I got a hoss I am currently rebuilding the driveline on. Front and rear diffs leaked all their fluid and grease out. But front wheels seemed to do all the work. I got a rebuild/upgrade kit for the central diff. How can you tell if it was bad to begin with. It is kinda oily and dirty, so I am kind of believing that it's oil leaked out too or was replaced with the wrong stuff by the previous owner. How do you yell if there is really something wrong with it?
The gear in the servo of the HOSS I have has broken twice. Mine doesn't have any drive line failures so far, but I think it will be difficult to repair. I also strongly believe that repairs are time consuming and difficult. Thank you for watching the video.😊
@@KousRCLife I found the repairs on this truck quite easy thankfully. I rebuilt the central diff with the traxxas upgrade kit. The hardest part was cleaning off the old diff oil. The upgrade from the plastic gear cover on the central diff to metal will be the best thing you can do for the hoss. The plastic housing, the gears shred and round out the inside. Leaving them to spin freely inside and allow no power transfer to the wheels. It is only like 4 screws to be able to fiddle the central diff out.
Hey just found yer channel. I really like the lighthearted feeling in these videos. You mentions the TMS feature. I have been out of RC for quite some time. My last was RC adventure was in 2008. SO the TMS is new to me. I am using a tms enable receiver in a NOT-Traxxas model. Actually A Tamiya CC01. WIth the TMS on, it does an annoying wiggle down the road. Know anything about how to stop that?

I had a slash before and the hoss is based on the same chassis so the only differences are the body and height. the maxx has a double wishbone suspention so it is more durable. the hoss might be better in the air but I am not that good. also if you make a mistake in the air you will lose control faster. they both has their pro's and cons. I am happy with my maxx but my friend is happy with his hoss. it is just your own opinion.
Do this for the E revo 2.0 and the winner of this video, not at the end yet so I don’t know but it should be interesting! (I know they’re different size different cell cars)

They are for 2 different drivers I feel. Hoss for a younger, less experienced driver, thr Maxx for the opposite.
