So glad you talk about people commenting on the girls weight problem . It’s disgusting how people would come up with these ridiculous assumptions about her and even if she did gain weight it shouldn’t matter, she’s gorgeous no matter what. Also I completely agree on the fact that yui ain’t coming back. People just need to leave her alone
It's especially nasty because I remember when she was still in Sakura Gakuin, Momoko openly discussed worrying about her weight, especially how her face looked (keep in mind she was 14/15 at the time). Yui faced a lot of stupid speculation on that front too, but only after she disappeared. Poor Momoko took her chance in Korea, a country with impossible-to-meet beauty standards and an AWFUL variant of otakus. I think Momoko is as gorgeous as Moa & Su.

@@Soufriere84 I agree, Momoko is beautiful. Su and Moa are both very slender, Momoko is more full figured is all. She looks healthy and happy to me, and I am happy that she finally got her spot in BM. She earned it. I am going to see them in October, I am already excited.

I was lucky enough to be there and it was nothing short of incredible. Everyone was flipping out when the third coffin appeared on the second night, and then we were shocked when they dropped a Marvel cliffhanger on us.
All evidence points to Momoko being the one who is going to be inducted as the new member at the upcoming shows, but given that Koba likes to surprised us, I can't help but feel like its too obvious. Maybe I'm so used to being swerved that I'm working myself?

Decided a long time ago that Yui was not coming back.
I'm glad they are keeping the trio, when it was just Su and Moa it looked out of balance.
I do want it to be Momoko, she worked her butt off at those concerts. Beside I believe she was screwed over in that Korean idol fiasco.
As to the other 2 Avengers, they are busy with their careers which was the reason Momoko did all of the last concerts. Though I would like her to be allowed to sing.

Agree 100%. MNet did Momoko dirty. She was one of the most popular in J-group but they intentionally limited her screen-time and put her in a group of layabouts so she'd fail. Since it's Korea, I wonder if they hated her full figure.
(I had no idea so many people weight-shame Momoko… she's known to be sensitive about it… well, that's K-Pop 🙄)

Thank you for always putting your time in energy in these videos. All around, i think the energy and excitement are building, and it feels almost like discovering Babymetal for the first time again, but knowing the memes

My hope and expectation is Momoko finally becomes a full member -- PS: it's only been 3½ years (August 8th 2019) since she debuted as the final Avenger, but the _only_ one since mid-Feb. 2020 when Riho left halfway through the Europe tour.
You said it best: Everyone loves Momoko except Yui dead-enders. IMHO Momoko has earned Yui's slot, if she wants it.
excellent content babbimetal, I am 90% sure that it will be MoMoko, but if the greatest surprise in history comes true, I could see MoMoko sticking around as a fill in if anything should happen to Yui or Moa for a show rather than cancel or go on as two. But yeah the MoKoBanger or BMD with the introductions added back in would still be magical, whatever they do is alright by me, I just love everything about BABYMETAL.
Great video as always. Can't wait to see and hear more from the two or three girls. The "Metal Kingdom" video should silence anyone doubting Babymetals ability to still put on visually and sonically legendary shows. (Imo when Su reached the center stage and the light turned red on her, she had a sort of "sorry to keep you waiting. Hope no one convinced you, I could ever be bias-wrecked"-attitude about her🦊🤘🏻). I love it. Preparations for the new album has commemced; four different Apple Music Babymetal playlists of differing moods and themes, playing all day at work, and watching all their concerts at home from the first up until and including the ten Budokan shows. 1. It's almost got to be Momoko. I couldn't even imagine having her perform at this show and then announcing someone else as a permanent member. 2. If the comments about their weight referred to how they looked during Metal Kingdom, I wonder if they were wearing those robes over their regular outfits. That would explain why they might appear bulkier than normal. Moa, at least, looked bulkier than normal during MK but doesn't during the snippet of Divine Attack that you showed.
Momoko has, in her own mind, struggled with her weight since her Sakura Gakuin days -- she wrote diaries about it and mentioned it in a behind-the-scenes video. After seeing video of her on Girls Planet 999 it's pretty obvious what happened (from her SG-era model shoots I should've expected it as she got older)… Underneath her costume she is *_very_* busty to the point she has to wear larger than average tops to hide it.
Plus, by bad luck, any weight goes straight to her neck, which is both the most noticeable and most difficult part of the body to slim down. These two things together make her seem heavier than she really is. She's, well, ｔｈｉｃｃ by Japanese standards while Su & Moa are ultra-petite…

This is only my opinion, but I've got to think that Momoko Okazaki is the odds on favorite to be the new member. I've stated before that she a very talented young lady, she funny, and performs very well. And if she has to, she speaks English very well.
The thought of the fan base as the new member is great, but it really won't float too well. A great gesture none the less.
If it's a new member that is an outside, and I mean OUT---SIDE chance, I STILL want that person to be from Sakura Gakuin, it would make excellent sense, and it just feels right.
If Yui Mizuno returns, it would blow the roof off the arena, see her again would be amazing. But I don't think it's going to happen, it does say "A new Metal will be born", so yes, and I love Yui to no end, her return would make no sense. If Yui is to return, I see it like this, that she would be there to welcome the new member to the group, Momoko or otherwise. It would be her way of "passing the torch" to the next member. I believe that would be a classy move, plus it would say that Yuimetal is okay with the new member.
As for Momoko and her being overweight, I will say this, every time I've seen her perform she has incredible energy, moves very well, and is a delight to see. And she has a smile that can warm the coldest hearts, not close to Moametal's smile, but it is beautiful to see. So if her weight is the issue, the haters need to stop, she has absolutely nothing wrong with her and she is a excellent performer. Plus, if she is the new member, that night Su-metal and Moametal will have to keep up with Momoko, her energy level would be off the charts, she will be a bundle of joy and happiness that won't stop performing, even after the show is done.

Momoko was the Avenger when I saw BabyMetal in Seattle. She was great.
It’s fascinating that they’re doing a show in Yui and Momo’s hometown. I’d love to hear a Mo-banger. I don’t think Yui will return. I would be happy if she would attend and just be acknowledged. Then we’d all know she’s ok. Of course the crowd would go bonkers. So the show starts a little late. It would only be an hour or two.
Kanagawa is a HUGE prefecture (average in area but massive population) with several cities. It also happens to be home to more Sakura Gakuin Girls than any other prefecture. We know Yui's hometown is Kawasaki City, in between Tokyo and Yokohama. IDK which specific city in Kanagawa is Momoko's hometown. "MM" stands for "Minato Mirai", the district in Yokohama this new music venue is in.

I know many of "The One" still hope for a YuiMetal comeback and I do too! But like you said Momoko is probably the odds favorite. But let's say Momoko was asked and for some reason she said her role with BABYMETAL is fine the way it is. Momoko may have other plans for herself. We just don't know. As for the the youngsters you named I think you are right that they are just too young right now. KobaMetal was maybe giving the youngsters a taste of what could be for their future. KobaMetal is calculating future metal acts? Riho and Kano could be possibilities but slim ones. I think we could really be surprised. Saki Ooga? Hana Taguchi? Marina Horuchi? Well they all have a history with Su and Moa. Who ever it is I hope Su and Moa have had some input with KobaMetal.
If I may add, Ayami Muto, Rinon Isono, Raura Iida would be slim chances as well, but could be extremely outside possibilities. Just my opinion though.
There are photos Sana Shiratori wearing twin tails on second day of the LIVE. But she wasn't seen towards the end of the second day show.
She will be 18 in Jun 20, 2023 (Yui's 24th birthday). She is SMOL at just 151.4 cm (Moa is 152 cm). Except she is from Kumamoto.
@@GenTzu Sadly those twintails were a wig. Sana bobbed her (very long) hair a couple months ago, so that alone probably disqualifies her. But yes she is SMOL -- by all accounts she is 4th-shortest Sakura Girl after Ayami (149), Saki Ohga (~150), and Aiko (151.1)… PS: Moa is 154.5, not 152. Yui was 156.5. Su is 160. Kano and Riho are both ~156. Momoko is anywhere between 159 and 162 (can't trust her Korean profile).
@@Soufriere84 thanks for information. Don't think Sana would be a good fit and hopefully not chosen. Even hair is short she could wear wig during performances until hair grew (some of eastern kami wear wigs). Out of the batch, Saki Ooga would be best, followed by Aiko, but OTFGK.
Thanks for update on the girl's heights. Different heights on various websites have different heights listed. Still amazing how such a strong voice Su's voice is from such a relatively short, petite person.
Nicely done. I want Momoko to be the new member. She's done a great job with them so far and I see no reason anyone beside Yui who could really get the job. Here's something I think may also happen. So far from the new album even with all the snippets released. I haven't really heard another voice besides Su's and Moa's. It would be a little weird to add a third after the album is recorded and then she's singing all the part during the concerts. Would make every song from the new album sound different than the recording. But this could hint that another album with the new member singing on it, is on the way. Especially if most of this album was recorded during the lockdown period. Their writers had a lot of time on their hands and by the number of other artists who are also putting out new albums. They may have written a lot of songs for Babymetal during this time. Su and Moa might have written some more songs themselves. But I can almost smell another album coming. And soon. But as they say Only the Foxgod Knows
I think there was a mistake about the youngest version of babymetal, Miko is the clone of Suzuka, Sakia is the clone of Moa , Kokona is the clone of Momoko
This came up on my recommended the day I flew to Japan 1 year ago for my Japan trip and ultimately seeing this show. I can't believe it's been almost a year already.
MomoMetal is officially a member of babymetal but no one can replace Yuimetal. But we still must welcome MomoMetal with open arms
I think Metal Kingdom has cemented Su as the official queen of metal. The maturity in her voice is absolutely astounding and I think this opens up a whole new chapter to Babymetal. What would be Babymetal without Moa and Yui. Such an essential, talented part to the whole band, but if we can't have Yui, then I believe that Momoko has more than proven herself to be the next essential part of the Babymetal journey.
I for one am Glad the Girls Are Back Doing What They do Best.Some People not all are not Happy with the Changes Well if Your (THE ONE) you will Have to Get Used to the Change because That is what BabyMetal Strive For.Its so good to have them back after there Mini Hiatus and a new Album how Awesome is that ? They're not teenagers anymore. Women's bodies change during their 20s. Even if they're in top athletic form, change is natural. Momoko in particular looked on GP999 like she had to wear oversized shirts to hide being, uh, top-heavy.

Yes there are some very weird people out there, and that is why they have to be kept from their fans. A pity, but I would rather they were left alone than hounded by press and freaks. I had not heard that nonsense about them being pregnant, like yeah embarking on a world tour is exactly what an expectant mother is going to do, I think both girls look amazing, and are fantastic role models to young women, especially Japanese young women to what you can achieve by following your own road and not conforming just to satisfy your critics.
There were a lot of people spreading the rumor in 2018 that Yui was pregnant and that's the reason she quit BM. Sh!t-stirrers crossed the line from offensive to disgusting when they _further_ claimed she had done the do with BM's late lead guitarist Mikio Fujioka, a family man who died in a tragic fall one month after Legend S, thereby implying his death wasn't an accident (it was)… All because he tried to teach Yui guitar and both liked stargazing.
here 7 months after we got our new member, who was MOMOMETAL. i’m so happy the girls got a new member, and i’d like to discuss so here are my thoughts no one asked for. it was hard for me myself to get over YUIMETAL’s departure, but when i’m stoked that MOMOMETAL joined the group.
To me it seems like Momoko came at an excellent time and brought new energy to Su and Moa, the two seem happier at the shows now that they are a trio again.
I started following babymetal again a few months ago and watched a lot of videos from their most recent tour, and they seemed happy and light during the shows, even though they performed almost every day.
I could be wrong, but it seems to me that Momoko was left aside a few times during her career and is finally living the life she deserves for her talent in Babymetal!!

Another reason why I think it's Momoko is, not only that she's the only avenger left, it's also that she came back after being eliminated in GP999. She could've done other things, but she still chose to come back (idk if she was asked or it's her decision lol) knowing other Avengers are now working with their own projects (Riho going solo, Kano in @onefive). I also thought before that she's probably not coming back like the other Avengers because she already did GP999 but thankfully she did.
That's why I thought, maybe they probably have more plans for her? because why only bring her back for 2 shows? lol That's all and yep I'm for Momoko being the 3rd Member. Anyway, great video! I'm so happy to see them perform again :') Excited for the new album and the April shows!

And another reason why because of GP999 is that she got amazing support from the SG and Babymetal fans, I think that surprised some

Anyway, I agree with OP. I didn't expect Momoko to return but I'm SO happy she did. I hope she really is BM's new 3rd. After performing dozens of shows alongside Su & Moa over 42 months, she's earned it.
@@Soufriere84 yep it seemed weighted towards the Korean girls, I stopped following after Momoko was eliminated but it seemed to me the whole thing was going to be pay to play and as much as I support her I wasn’t prepared to give money to the organisers in order to help her advance, she is better off with Babymetal those other girls that won will be a distant memory or completely forgotten in a couple of years where as with Babymetal she will be immortalised in the history books even though she wasn’t an OG member

Yui _chose_ to quit. Even if she hadn't had health issues I think she would have quit by now anyway because we know her heart wasn't in it. My best guess is she would have officially retired at the end of the 10BMBDK shows.
yes, Momo has the qualiications, but i think she doesn't fit to the other girls, Lets say Su-Metal has 10/10, then Moa-Metal 9/10 and Momo maybe a 4/10

I understand where you are coming from, so no critism, but hope you will observe the following: I myself thought METAL KINGDOM (only audio) was a little repetitive, but when I saw it LIVE @ Makuhari, myself, and many many around me were in tears. After the concert I had a chance to hear most say that EPIC opener was the most memorable of all the songs played that night. => SET LIST JAN.28,29
METAL KINGDOM/ Divine Attack/ Distortion/ PA PA YA/ Gimme Chocolate/ Megitsune/ Doki Doki Morning/ Light and Darkness/ Monochrome/ Headbanger/ Ijime Dame Zettai/ Road of Resistance/ THE LEGEND
As you can imagine, we all went nuts with PA PA YA ... Road of Resistence. For the last song, me = a 74 year-old guy, jumped into the pit and had a blast. BUT the important part of my message is, that at the same concert BM was able to bust our tear glands with METAL KINGDOM, Divine Attach, and Monochrome. It is about the overall production that puts their LIVE on top. I probably would not listen to these songs driving my car on the Interstate, but would go all the way to Japan just to be a part of their LIVE shows. So many people at these shows crying their hearts out can't be wrong.
