Beautiful ! Thank yuu - seems there is no end to the gorgeous old homes of Europe - I'm a Brit in the US, and l learn more about these things now from TH-cam than I ever knew in my youth ! We should be very thankful that the National Trust etc take these places over & keep them from rotting away, which has happened to too many old places in the past. Thisd house is warm & inviting & looks very loved !

This is the ancestral house of Lord Gerald Paul Joseph Cajetan Carmel Antony Martin Strickland, 6th Count della Catena, 1st Baron Strickland, who was the 4th Prime Minister of Malta, from 1927 to 1932.

Exceptional woodwork particularly on the mantle walls, fine craftsmanship rarely still seen today
