Beautiful ! Thank yuu - seems there is no end to the gorgeous old homes of Europe - I'm a Brit in the US, and l learn more about these things now from TH-cam than I ever knew in my youth ! We should be very thankful that the National Trust etc take these places over & keep them from rotting away, which has happened to too many old places in the past. Thisd house is warm & inviting & looks very loved !

Hello Andrew. I am a Strickland descendants in Oregon. Do you happen to be in possession of much history on the first Stricklands in America? My ancestors here seem to have started out in Virginia and Georgia. I would love to see if we could exchange information. 😊

We must be cousins (however many times removed). My mother's surname is Strickland, and I have traced my ancestry back to England. Do you have much information on the Stricklands in America. Our ancestors here, seem to originate in Virginia and Georgia. I'd love to hear from you if we might be able to share information. 😊❤️

This is the ancestral house of Lord Gerald Paul Joseph Cajetan Carmel Antony Martin Strickland, 6th Count della Catena, 1st Baron Strickland, who was the 4th Prime Minister of Malta, from 1927 to 1932.

Beautiful. I'm happy they didn't paint the wood white, like the idiots in America. Americans see wood and immediately paint it white.
