- We headed out to Santee, CA with our good friend from the San Diego Jeep Club to check out over 60 modified Jeeps that showed up for their Show and Shine. There were lots of JKU's, JK's, TJ's, LJ's, and many others to check out. If you are looking for your next modification for your Jeep, you are sure to get some good idea from all the Jeeps that attended.

Hi I do show &shine with my jeeps to I just got an nother wrangler 4door. White in color. I live in Saskatchewan Canada. I'm on my 9th jeep .in they show and shine .nice rides .wow beautiful jeeps .your truly pat. Keep up all they work people fans

You missed the Hardrock bumper with the wings removed. My fav. Some bumpers look like they belong on the stealth bomber, not a rounded Jeep. The best looking Jeeps don’t have any add ons that “stick out” and draw attention from the overall look.

I've seen a Jeep Rubicon with a CAPTAIN AMERICA shield in the back not on the rear spare tire but covering the rear passenger on about a 45 degree angle. Beautiful !!! I just can't find it anymore !!!

Don’t see Any Extreme Purple JKs. In 2016 they only sold it in the Back Country edition but Rubitrux had a 2017 Rubicon JK in purple. It is a cool color. Grows on you.

I so badly want to see a big block in one like mine. 6 inch Rock Ready sky jacker lift, 33s. Bilstein adjustable shocks and straight exhaust with hooker headers.
Why so few roof racks? I know some models ruin the looks but not all and they can be so useful. I have a 2016 JKUR Hardrock and a 2012 FJ Cruiser. Both were bought with salvage title. The Jeep had 2000 miles and the front bumper was t-boned. Fixed in 2 weeks including adding winch and stinger and some custom paint, The FJ had 12k miles and was a rollover. Slapped a windshield in it and drove it home . It was saved by the heavy duty, full length aftermarket roof rack. Never fixed the dents. The same roof rack is still on it, bends and all and has held 500-600 pounds of plywood up there. Someone should design a roof rack for the JKU that connects to the roll cage to increase its strength and protection. Jeep roll cages are just not that strong. When I had a two door Jeep made before they lengthened the roll cage I took out the back seat cause it was not safe to sit back there.

TrailRecon now can a f150 or 250 be good on the trails? I'm looking to buy soon but more in to the puck ups. What would u you suggest
Pickups have their place for sure, but it all depends on how you plan to use it. There are some great open desert trails and wide open logging roads that would be right at home with an F150, but if you plan on tackling any narrow technical trails, you will be limited on where you can go explore. Jeeps, 4Runners, Tacoma's, FJ's, Pathfinders, etc are better suited for the types of terrain we venture out to.

There are some great looking Jeeps in this crowd. One thing I did noticed is that most of these Jeeps have a good amount of tire exposed outside the fenders. In PA. that would be a immediate ticket. Do they allow this on the streets in CA?
I couldn't quote the law here in CA, but there are lots of open tire vehicles running around.
Scary to see high lift jacks mounted right under the windshields. Highway collision = possible driver/passenger decapitation. I would never mount the jack forward of the windshield. Just a thought. Maybe they take the jack off while on the street?

great vid. look forward to some of those owner interviews. could you ask them ballpark cost on their build? just curious what completed builds run. in the middle of my Durango build. big, big plans including dana 60's, sas, 4 link rear, 3 link front, ori's all round (14"), and 40's w/ bead locks. np231d w/ 6 pinion planetary, and a jb conv sye. bumpers, rails, belly pan, and tummy tuck. so end result costs would be appreciated. thanks and keep up the good work.
