I always got a sense that the song was from Lu Guang's POV even from the S1 days, when people tended to guess it was from CXS's. And then S2 came bursting in revealing the magnitude of all that LG was carrying, pretty much confirming it. I'm torn between feeling chuffed and pained.

I have a theory (mind you I don't have any real evidence for this so perhaps it'd be more accurate to call it a headcanon lol) that in the original timeline, before Lu Guang went back to save Cheng Xiaoshi, he was a different person, less empathetic. Not that he was totally heartless ofc, and he still clearly cared about CXS enough to go back in time to save him. But I wonder if maybe Lu Guang was a little less sensitive to Cheng Xiaoshi's feelings and a bit more blunt/frigid. But then when Cheng Xiaoshi died (maybe partially BECAUSE of his lack of empathy) Lu Guang realized his mistake ("if only I'd gotten it right the first time") and regretted not being more sympathetic towards Cheng Xiaoshi. So now (whichever timeline this is) he can still be a bit cold sometimes but he's also a lot more sensitive to Cheng Xiaoshi's emotional state, and tries to comfort him when he gets upset and be more understanding of how Cheng Xiaoshi experiences the emotions of the person whose body he's in and is naturally a very empathetic person.
Thing is, when I first heard this song, I thought Link Click was just gonna be another one of those overrated made-to-look-modern-and-cool shows. It took me only 2 episodes to realize my mistake.

But then when Cheng Xiaoshi died (maybe partially BECAUSE of his lack of empathy) Lu Guang realized his mistake ("if only I'd gotten it right the first time") and regretted not being more sympathetic towards Cheng Xiaoshi. So now (whichever timeline this is) he can still be a bit cold sometimes but he's also a lot more sensitive to Cheng Xiaoshi's emotional state, and tries to comfort him when he gets upset and be more understanding of how Cheng Xiaoshi experiences the emotions of the person whose body he's in and is naturally a very empathetic person.

Thing is, when I first heard this song, I thought Link Click was just gonna be another one of those overrated made-to-look-modern-and-cool shows.

Honestly everyone who from S2 keeps saying it sounds alot like Lu guang is singing this now from his pov but it feels More like the both of them singing it as Some parts just doesnt make sense for lu guang to be saying it even after the knowing what lu guang can do.
