    Thank you for your presentation. That a vegan diet is more sustainable is incidental to veganism. Veganism isn’t a diet but an ethical position where the interests of non-human sentient beings are considered and respected. Veganism recognises that sentience is the sole requirement for inclusion in the moral community. All sentient beings, human or not appreciate their individual lives and no sentient being wants to be exploited, mutilated (castration, tail docking, teeth clipping, dehorning, etc.), forcibly impregnated, separated from their children, or killed. A vegan will not intentionally harm or support the harming of other sentient beings. Veganism is grounded on the principles of nonviolence and anti-oppression.
