I love the gas can within 3 foot of the open flame.

I agree a few safety violations, but.. Back of my hand near the quick connect wasn't hot. I use this to boil water for brewing and only tied into gas line at water heater. I checked for leak with soapy water and next with a lighter. No leaks. Gas can has been empty for 5 years. Setup works great, but would like to replace the clear tubing at some poi t.

Great set-up. I am looking to do something like this, but I don't want to choose a burner head that will be overkill. I have a 15 gallon pot that I plan to evaporate maple sap in and I need to bring it to a boil. What size batches are you brewing with this?

I brew 5 gallon batches. Takes me about 20mins to bring about 4 gallons of water from 45 to 175 deg. I only run about 3/4 open. Burner works great.

i did a google search and there did not appear to be any compatibility issues with natural gas and vinyl tubing (aka PVC). i use my setup in a well ventilated area so i am not concerned. good luck.

Hi. I have a Bayou Classic SP10. I think it is what you had to start with ? I'm really wanting to get another burner to put on my SP10 stand and connect to my natural gas line. What was your modification to your stand to put this burner on you SP10 stand ? Great video.

I just used some hose clamps to attach the burner to the stand. the stand diameter was a little small to hold my keg boil kettle so I drilled some holes and used some bolts to attache three ears. it's been working great for the last couple of years. any questions let me know.

I use the same 10 tip natural gas burners to heat 25 gallon pots for homebrewing. I've been using them for years and find that they bring up the temperature at a rate of about 1.5-2 degrees per minute. I use a BBQ grill hose with quick disconnects at each end and have the valve located on the brew cart as well as before the QD on the house side. See www.mullerbrau.com for more information and pictures.

What kind of connection do you make at the burner? Do you need a valve there or did you just add a quick disconnect? Also, where would you find a proper regulator?

no regulator necessary as you have a regulator at the gas meter. just get a nat gas burner. for connection at the burner just used a coupling and it threaded on easy. been working great for years.

Chris, would you know the WC required to push this 10 tip jet burner to the rated 100,000 btu/hr? Is it 11" WC? Thanks!

I'm not sure. seems to be performing well for me and heats out about 4 gallons of 60f water to 180f in 30 mins with valve 3/4 open.

is your quick disconnect just a regular air hose quick disconnect?

yes it is. Seems to be working from so far.
