seventeen are under pledis and have been since their debut but hybe has recently became a major shareholder for pledis so the companies are associated ! I would say the English is great bc Joshua and Vernon are both Korean American and have always helped the members with their pronunciations, and woozi (their main producer) has always been good at English for some unknown reason like his pronunciation is always so clear and he even writes some of their demos in English (I think he’s secretly American 🤨) but yea a lot of the members are really good at English and are always trying to better themselves so I’m glad they got to showcase it with this beautiful song! For carats specifically this song is VERY seventeen and if you check out more of their discography you’ll be able to tell as well, it’s just them, but in English, I’m glad they stayed true to themselves for this cuz it’s beautiful
and the most surprised is just saw the credit of this song and turns out joshua and vernon doesnt involve with the making of the lyrics this time but woozi are one of the person who co write the lyrics the only svt members who involved in tha making of the lyrics so yea i think he scecretly already master and understand that language hahahaa :3

There is another composer her name is shannon (korean american). former pledis idol whos now working as producer.. if im not mistaken she helped them with pronunciations too because seungkwan mentioned he was nervously sweat when shannon guiding them ahhahahaah
@@vvnssch oh yeah I know about Shannon she works as a pledis producer, she helped with the lyrics of Ruby and the lyrics of darling (probably helping with translating) but she’s not a composer on the tracks, when did seungkwan mention her ? I didn’t hear about that

They're all PLEDIS in house producers (Seventeen's Woozi and BUMZU) + one outside producer (Hwang Hyun).
Shannon Bae (Former Pristin Member), Seventeen's Woozi and Bumzu are the lyricists for this song.
Hwang Hyun is from prismfilter, his stage name is MonoTree

Nevertheless, the producers who touched this song are still not from the western nor HYBE in house producers.

The MV shows them living peacefully in Neverland but then shadow appeared symbolizing their worries. They couldn't escape their inner shadow but when the shadow grew bigger turning into darkness, together as 13 another world unfolded.
Hybe has nothing to do with this. Seventeen has always been this good. I love that they haven’t changed their style. You know it’s a SVT song once you hear it.

Btw, regarding Darling it is a pre-release songg for their upcoming May Full Length Album releaseee sooo it gives a hint on what path will they take in their new album. The concept by the way of this song and mv is "PeterPan".
On the first part, they are living in peaceful and warm Neverland but after they discovered the thing abt their shadows which represents they worries, they were like trapped in it and Neverland became a world of chaos. They will face this togetherrrr and the next happenings will unfold in the next albummmmm which is in Mayyyy!

But overallll, this is a great songgg (like it is not a in yourface English song, it still Seventeen's songs only the language changed) as expectedddd Seventeen never disappoints, the mv, concept, vibe is great as welll, and most esp great pre-release to hint the next albummmm!

5:01 i saw that video in my page yet didn't watch it, in my opinion as a CARAT (SEVENTEEN fan) it's maybe because only Woozi (set member and producer) and Bumzu (singer and svt producer) worked on this. the sound is not much different from their other songs and I don't mean that as in it doesn't sound new but I mean its still in their lane and genre. Last year alot of ppl were shock on how different 'Ready to love' sounded and it's because not only bang pd participated on the producing but so as other hybe producers. Throughout the years SEVENTEEN has released various genres of music but they have their own color or we call The Woozi /SEVENTEEN Sound and with 'Ready to Love' they gave out a new sound. For Darl+ing, I'll say it sounded great cause it doesn't different much from their Korean songs and that also goes the same for their Japanese tracks, they always give something new but still keeping their color in it that'll make u say "this is a SEVENTEEN song".
The music is still Woozi, Bumzu & Seventeen & Pledis that's why it sounds immaculate

The story was said ti be a reference of Peter Pan and they're in a world like Nederland , where they're happy, free and no worries...and there is also no Night time( No moon) that's why you can only see the sun symbols.. that is also the reason why they don't have shadows.. if you look at the firts scenes, the things have shadows except for them.. then when they found out, they tried to stop the time and started to have worries which causes their shadows to slowly show up when all 13 shadows were activated along with that crystal Vernon found, they activated a portal to the parallel world, which is the night time.. which also symbolizes the Moon.. A world, where they don't know what's in there... maybe the concept is more like a 50/50 for they're album like Sun/Moon. Love and heart breaking situations...
Yes seventeen are under hybe (under pledis but hybe bought pledis so yeah) BUT! they do their own songs so it doesn't really matter which company they're under.
Also Woozi (member of seventeen) doing most of their songs with Bumzu (a soloist)
All the members in seventeen has credit too but mostly 1-Woozi 2-Vernon
The producer also is woozi and bumzu , and some others korean. Definitely not is hybe

As stated on many in the comments, the SVT lyricists and producers for this song are WOOZI (SVT member), BUMZU (pledis artist and resident producer), Shannon Bae (pledis artist) and HwanHyun of MonoTree...
Hyb3 actually tried to intervene with SVT's music back in 2021 on their title track 'Ready To Love'. There was Bang PD and some foreign producers. I know the song was loved by a lot of new listeners but it was not received very well by us Carats. It's indeed a nice pop song but it sounded different from what we love from SVT. Even the members revealed it was way different from what the original song created then. Woozi had to change a lot and discuss with Hyb3 many times for it to be released finally. In the end, I believe all parties learned how it's not right to intervene again with their music so we're back with our unique SVT sound, with ROCK WIT YOU and now DARL+ING :)

They've done other english songs before w only joshua & vernon (rocket, 2 minus 1). I think me & some other carats were kinda nervous for them since it's their 1st ot13 song tgt, but I'm glad that they still managed to maintain that svt kind of feeling in all their songs (ready to love on the other hand, well it's a mix of them I feel, since bang pd worked on it apparently)
I've watch a lot of reaction of Seventeen's Darl+ing song and every time the chorus hits everyone has the same reaction and comment on how beautiful the song is. I mean bruh I played this song for God knows how many times, I've lost count already. This song is so addicting and I don't mind--
they are mostly under Pledis Entertainment, Hybe doesn’t have a part of any in Seventeen.
SEVENTEEN's music is always genuinely good because they create each and every single one of it themselves with all their passion and with a genuine purpose. Woozi (one of the members) is their main producer and lyricist. We surely don't need that company to involve themselves with our boys' craft. They will do amazing without that company's help.
i'm pretty sure hyb3 ruining their artist doesn't apply to svt because hyb3 gave them better resources and marketing but svt is still very self produced
well they tried to do that during your choice era and the backlash from the fandom is too much (some even boycott the song lmao) so they stopped doing it i guess. plus svt immediately renewed their contracts after that era, they got more freedom
no idea what that person was talking about since txt and seventeen (who are both under hybe) have amazing discographies. in any case, seventeen have a majority of the hand in their music which is why they're known particularly for being self producing, nothing to do with hybe.
