Seventeen just announced that their new Album "Face the Sun" will be released on May 27th. What a nice timing, definitely looking forward to what's coming😍
Please read this to understand the MV better ^--^ The overall concept of this MV is Peter Pan. To escape reality that is the growing pain by escaping in an imaginary world. The members in the song seemed to have entered into a realm living in a dream like state not knowing they're in a dream. The name of the song Darling is from the name of Wendy Darling. Okay so here are the things that need to be picked from the MV that everyone needs to notice!! Those are very important aspects!! 1- When Vernon is lying on the broken road pavement, notice how when he brings his hand to block the sun, he notices he has no shadow on his face. Vernon is the first person to notice something is off. 2- the clock that has been stopped by a pin (meaning trying to stop the time because they don't want to grow) 3- Wonwoo has cracks in his glasses and when he solves the scrabble the words said (shadow) Peter Pan lost his shadow at Wendy's house and went back to get it. 4- The members lack a shadow in the scenes at the start 5- When they're playing around Vernon rushes inside to tell the members something, (about what he noticed at the beginning of the MV) and gives Joshua a leaf which he brings towards light and Vernon pulls his hand to make him see he doesn't have a shadow. 6- Hoshi drops the vase in shock which had daisies inside (daisies are a symbol of innocence - meaning they're not so innocent anymore) 7- When Hoshi picks a shard of glass up, he gets cut, meaning he 'Knows the Pain'. Hoshi throws a clock in water (trying to stop time by breaking the clocks maybe?) 8- NOTICE THIS FOR SURE! The painting behind Jun! in the next scene!! It shows the happenings of this entire MV happening but the last part of it is not in the MV, meaning its a spoiler for their ALBUM!!!! 9- Jun finds a box in water that has clocks inside, again trying to stop time to stop growth! 10- In the next scene everyone is trying to search for the truth, and then they come across the church from the tapestry that was in Jun's scene! They open the door, but Wonwoo says 'Don't wanna say good bye' it means Wonwoo has already knows whats been up! Maybe he's been behind it all?? 11- After opening the church door it is shown that they are all playing by tying a cloth on each other's eyes and then something happens that makes them be all by themselves... 12- Seungkwan walks in the church full of teddy bears only to turn around and see it destroyed. 13- Scoups opens his eyes and sees the truth, gets his shadow back. 14- Woozi wipes the paint off his face (meaning leaving his childhood memories behind) and wipes the mirror. His shadow returns. 15- The smiles on the walls start to cry? He wipes the glass and see's him but very different... 16- The8 seems to have reached another dimension that connects the world to another. Jun sees another him, touches the glass and flass shatters. 17- All of these things causes the pin that had stopped the clock from the beginning to snap! And thats when everything starts falling apart!! 18- Everyone is at the church now and starts seeing themselves change meaning they're now entering their true dimension... Joshua sees another world, that is upside down. 19- Everyone's bodies start to crumble and the imaginary realm collapses. The sun and the solar eclipse and Wonwoo's role in all of this... I guess it'll be explained more in Face The Sun ;__: Omg so excited! This song was episode 0 btw.. as hashtagged on twitter.. there is more to come... The Sun's role is very vital in this MV T_T cant wait.. Just wanted to add, this analysis has been picked by many eyes and not just mine 😅
I think they always have the role of sun since “heaven” w nuest was released back then. While the meaning of “heaven” is smthn between the day (svt) and night (nuest) that’s where “heaven” is. Might be wrong but this concept sure is different from their previous ones

Funny you mention Fallin' Flower because that and Darling have the same director. S.Coups did confirm tour we just don't have dates yet. I think we're all just waiting for Wonwoo to be ready to come back before they announce anything super major like a tour.

The concepts confirmed on SVT's MV behind the scene, Hoshi said it's Neverland :)) so it's true a Peter Pan concept, they are Lost boys. You can notice that at Vernon's scene at the beginning, when he raised up his hand, he realized that he doesn't have any shadow and the ground around him collapse. So he rushed back to tell the boys, you notice when he pull Shua's hand and Shua also has no shadow, that's why they are all so shock. Then they lost their naive mind and start to curious about themselves. Then Jun peeled off the wall and see a painting behind that seems like a "warning/hint" for them. And they start to find any objects has the "sun" symbol in that. When they come in the red door and playing tag, they experience their first worry about life that being "leave behind/alone", and after that they shadows start to appear and grow. The scence Vernon's holding a shining objects, you can see members's shadow on the wall, their face are not happy as before any more. So Neverland collapse, time starts to flow again :( and they fell back to the real world, even though they are still in the same "house" in Neverland, but they are full of bruises and can only see the darkness as a result of "growing up". I think they up-coming MV for album will have the message of how they come together and find peace and happiness even in the real world again :)

The title Darling is a play off of Wendy's last name which is Darling. The song is about the fear Seventeen has about their fans outgrowing them as they become older and hoping that the Fandom continues to love and support them as they get older.
