Bro losing to St Peter's. Look at Fox, Monk, and Bam year lol. Idc what kinda bust you talking about dude has under performed without a doubt. We missed the tournament twice. Lost to UNCW, Lost to Evansville, twin saved us with 3 buzzer beaters to get to the final four, lost With Devin booker on the bench😂😂😂. You are a 🤡, the writings been on the Wall. He's a good recruiter, and a bad coach. I remember Bol Bol wanting to come to Kentucky and Cal left him off the U18 Olympic team😂😂😂. Trae Young was a lock for Kentucky, and Cal ran him off. @@loverboy4479 just watch him...on the side lines. Make a casual comparison to the coaches who 'beat' cal. Barns, Florida Coach, SC coach, and you will get to watch another Tue night...in Stackhouse (Vandy Coach). Forget the team on the floor, watch those 'coach' comparisons. On one side you have a clown, running on court, waving his arms...yelling loudly...at the players at the refs...what a freaking child. and compare that to the calm demeanor of the opposing coach... Watch it carefully, Barnes and Stackhouse are some of the greatest examples...calm...collected...'coaching'. Honestly, I don't even think Cal really cares which is the saddest part. I never understood the hype around this team to begin with, they were always going to be too young to win a title and unlike other programs like Kansas and UNC, we never get our fringe NBA level talents to come back. This team was built to send a shitload of guys to the league after one year and that's all Cal cares about. We'll have the same problems next year when we have another mass exodus in the off-season.

    • @adammorgan5598

When Big Z returns to the rotation, this team will have twice as many freshmen in the main rotation than the title team (6 for this team, 3 for the 2012 team). The 2012 team also brought back 50% of minutes played from a final four team from the year before, this year's team returned less than 19% of minutes played from the previous season. Also as good as some of the freshmen are on this team, nobody is a difference maker on the level of Anthony Davis. This year's team has already lost 3x the games as the 2012 team did and there is still 10 regular season games left.

I have no Faith in UK as long as Cal is the coach of the Cats. Sorry but he has a worse record in his last 10 years than Tubby had in his 10 years. Tubby on one hand was ran out of town with For Sale signs in his yard by the fans. Cal on the other hand is still being treated as a god. Tubby never recorded a losing season in the SEC nor did he give up this many games at home. Unfortunately its not going to end until Cal is gone.
As for media outlets you guys should also be furious with the university and Cal. Why because his results are making people stop watching, Dip in the pocket when the drop off of viewers come. I for one will be watching less UK Media. I know I'm just one person but think about if 10% of your views leave. Cal needs to go on so many levels.
One and done players are a handicap because they never learn the fundamentals. Look at UConn and Purdue as examples. They are not going after those one and done players. Yet they are easy the best teams in the country because of the multi-year guys that developed into great players.

That's just an easy, bad faith bullshit line to keep attention away from the fact Cal has been underachieving with the talent he has in an extreme way for YEARS now. I think he uses the prestige of the name alone to draw in recruits but once he gets them he really doesn't know how to assemble them or moreover coach them; however, consequently, by you stacking the deck with a bunch of five stars you are actually hurting yourself because most of those five stars are one and dones and there is no player development. A good coach will help convince even the best 5 stars to stay to help develop them.

I recall Cal saying after the 2012 Championship "I'm glad we got that one out of the way. Winning National Championships is not my goal." his goal is getting kids into the NBA where they can make millions. that's his recruiting pitch. It looks like the game has passed him by. Losing to Gardner-Webb at Rupp. Losing to UNC Willmington at Rupp... it's humiliating. Like someone once said about Pitino: "if he loved us as much as we loved him, all would be forgiven."

A little history here: Adolph Rupp overstayed his time at UK and was road out of time on a rail. Joe hall, stayed there 13 years forced to leave, Tubby Smith, same thing, now Calipari, same thing also about 13 years and losing his effectiveness. Rick Petino, there 8 years left before he was forced to leave. Matt, you sure do speak the truth.when you say they’re not going to get rid of him, that’s depressing, no way out. Defense is terrible other than a few instances during this game but the 7 footers while great to have, are killing us by slowing us down. This is ridiculously obvious that when we were running and gunning nobody could keep up. Soon as they got healthy we went back to half court offense and slowed way down. If we played all game like we did before they got to playing or like the last minute of the Tennessee game nobody could keep up.

UK has enough talent to run and gun even with a 7 footer in the game. It's Cal who slows them down. It's also Cal who doesn't teach them how to play defense. He's possibly the best recruiter ever but amazingly bad at actual coaching. His teams are only as good as their natural talent will allow them to be. UK's offense is so good because the players are naturally gifted scorers. No matter how Cal runs the offense they end up scoring alot of points. But they are horrible at defense so they need a coach to teach them. There lies the problem. This will end up being yet another one of Cal's NBA loaded teams that underachieve because of his lack of coaching ability.

I for one accept zero excuses as a fan of sixty years of this ball club. Whatever Cal's good points and he has plenty of them, he does not care about long time fans of Kentucky, and is down in writing as having said so, although not in so many words. He is burning up a century of excellence and tradition in order to, according to him, change young mens' lives. Well hell, he can do that just as well at a Boys Club of Pittsburgh. So that dog don't hunt. I don't know what Cal's scam is, exactly, but I say that it's clear he's running one of some kind. Or maybe he just doesn't care and has never cared, but I don't think that's likely either. Whatever animates Cal, it isn't what animates Kentucky fans. That is a fundamental mismatch. And we as fans would be playing poor defense not to demand he step down as coach.

In my opinion, the glaring downfall for Calipari is One-and-Done. It’s wrecked his reputation and ability to sustain program building seasons. He’s literally rebuilding every year and playing with fire. These are young kids who have no idea how to play together as a cohesive unit. How could they? They’re freshmen, with egos and only care about using UK to get to the league, just to fizzle out and end up in Serbia. The raw talent is obviously there but it’s just not coming together. With as much talent that has gone through UK, he should have several more final fours and natty appearances.
Duke is also suffering from this too - maybe not on the same level but it’s clear they’ve dipped in quality as well.
It’s a shame because UK is basketball royalty. I’m optimistic that it’ll be easier to right the ship the sooner Calipari is out.
