My husband was diagnosed with neck cancer 10 years ago. He said no your not taking my voice and my voice box because my God will heal me. He went through 3 cancers, 7 years of great pain and surgeries to be with us until it ate his brain and the battle was at the end. All those memories he gave us, all the pain for us, he died while I slept in his arms on July 17, 2021. I was his caregiver due to covid and his family was with him until the end per his wishes. I'm 53 and I too have Cancer in my left breast and will be having an appointment on October 16, 2024 to get a Mammogram on the right breast to make sure it didn't spread. In August of 2007 I had my left kidney removed because it had a small mass that ended up testing positive as cancerous. My actual surgery was on my wife and I's 12th anniversary. A few days later was my 40th birthday while still in the hospital recovering. I was still on active duty in the Navy, just two years later I retired with over 22 years of service to this Great Nation. One year after my surgery I probably had the best physical fitness test scores that I had since I was in my early 20's. Didn't go sky-diving or bull-riding, but I did what I could to challenge myself to come back as best as I could. I was blessed. I was one of the lucky ones. God Bless all of those who have had it a lot worse than I did. Thank you Tim for your tribute to Toby Keith. God Bless You.

I was taken to UCLA for brain surgery which I only had a 3 to 5% chance of surviving and I made it. I'll never forget kinda accidentally bumping into Toby Keith while on vacation. We were in Deadwood, South Dakota & he performed outside. We walked right past his tour bus and saw him sitting there. I ran backstage and was only about 13 but a few of us snuck back there for an autograph and a hug. He was so tall and solid muscle. I'll never forget it. I did see him many years later but I've loved Toby since he first came out. God bless & prayers & love to his family♡
I love this song and it was a wonderful dedication! My mom is a survivor of Leukemia (they just called it Blood Cancer) and she's in her 70s she will be 75 this year on April 27th. I was stunned when she finally told me, she was in remission though after her first treatment!

😢my husband died unexpectedly 2 months after we were married … he’d never been sick in all the years we were together and then as everything seemed too good to be true, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer metastasized to his lungs and liver… even typing it - it doesn’t seem real. I played this song for him and all he wanted to do was live and enjoy what time he had left but Covid has us all on lockdown .. he worked his whole life, never did anyone wrong and at the end he couldn’t even go anywhere because everything was closed down/locked down…. I think he ultimately died of a broken heart, feeling like he lived a right life and had it all taken away in minutes with a diagnosis out of the blue then an infection, coma and broken hearted that he felt like he reneged on our agreement to spend the next 40-50 years together and he left me alone. Always appreciate what you have and live everyday like you’re dying … because you are dying, we are all waiting in line to depart and none of us know who is next ✨🙏

My wife is a breast cancer surviver she was diagnosed in 2006 thanks to God and a good oncologist she is still cancer free today ! But lost my dad 3 yr ago to throat cancer and my sister in law to pancreatic cancer 2 yr ago ! So anyone battling cancer of any kind you are in my prayers ! God Bless you all ! My mom had breast cancer at the age of 53 and passed away on my brother's 25th birthday on May 11, 2001. I'm 53 and I too have Cancer in my left breast and will be having an appointment on October 16, 2024 to get a Mammogram on the right breast to make sure it didn't spread. In August of 2007 I had my left kidney removed because it had a small mass that ended up testing positive as cancerous. My actual surgery was on my wife and I's 12th anniversary. A few days later was my 40th birthday while still in the hospital recovering. I was still on active duty in the Navy, just two years later I retired with over 22 years of service to this Great Nation. One year after my surgery I probably had the best physical fitness test scores that I had since I was in my early 20's. Didn't go sky-diving or bull-riding, but I did what I could to challenge myself to come back as best as I could. I was blessed. I was one of the lucky ones. God Bless all of those who have had it a lot worse than I did. Thank you Tim for your tribute to Toby Keith. God Bless You.

My grandfather passed in 2007. Shortly before he passed, we had a family meeting, he told us he was tired and he was ready. Everyone got a chance to weigh in on his decision plus say what they wanted to say. That day, the last words I remember saying to him were “Live like you were dying”, I told him to enjoy his last days the best that he could, and let me tell ya, that man lived one heck of a life! My husband is a police officer that almost lost his life to esophageal Cancer in 2017. By the grace of God scans came back clean again on Feb 6. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial Sarcoma in April 2020. My last PET scan was on 2-8-24 and God has Blessed me with another negative scan! I too, will miss seeing Toby on the sidelines at The Palace on The Prairie, and Hollywood Corner will never be the same, but knowing Toby is now in Ultimate Palace with our Lord & Savior, healed and whole, brings solace. God Bless you🙏 I was diagnosed with Astro glioma grade 3, in December 2000 and again in August 2001, couldn't remove all of the tumor.Did radiation, shrank. Did chemo and it grew. Went to University of Kentucky and had a Gamma Knife surgery, it's surgery without being invasive. chemo followed. 6mo later I was considered a survivor 🎉
The hardest 3-4yr of my life! Fighting Cancer and raising 2 daughters. Praise the Lord. 🙏💜🙏

I was taken to UCLA for brain surgery which I only had a 3 to 5% chance of surviving and I made it. This song has always been so powerful for me and I am trying to live my life and love every single second of it❤️ I Thank Jesus every single day for my life 🙏🏻

I'll never forget kinda accidentally bumping into Toby Keith while on vacation. We were in Deadwood, South Dakota & he performed outside. We walked right past his tour bus and saw him sitting there. I ran backstage and was only about 13 but a few of us snuck back there for an autograph and a hug. He was so tall and solid muscle. I'll never forget it. I did see him many years later but I've loved Toby since he first came out. God bless & prayers & love to his family♡
I love this song and it was a wonderful dedication! My mom is a survivor of Leukemia (they just called it Blood Cancer) and she's in her 70s she will be 75 this year on April 27th. I was stunned when she finally told me, she was in remission though after her first treatment!

We had a group of friends that were really tight. We were always together. We were brothers. We’re all in our 40s now. Family’s careers but we never lost touch. In the past year our group has shrunk by 2 cancer and stroke. It’s really hit us hard. One of my friends said well boys from this point on it will be funerals instead of weddings

😢my husband died unexpectedly 2 months after we were married … he’d never been sick in all the years we were together and then as everything seemed too good to be true, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer metastasized to his lungs and liver… even typing it - it doesn’t seem real. I played this song for him and all he wanted to do was live and enjoy what time he had left but Covid has us all on lockdown .. he worked his whole life, never did anyone wrong and at the end he couldn’t even go anywhere because everything was closed down/locked down…. I think he ultimately died of a broken heart, feeling like he lived a right life and had it all taken away in minutes with a diagnosis out of the blue then an infection, coma and broken hearted that he felt like he reneged on our agreement to spend the next 40-50 years together and he left me alone. Always appreciate what you have and live everyday like you’re dying … because you are dying, we are all waiting in line to depart and none of us know who is next ✨🙏
