For the last three years I have used both the Obenauf's oil and Heavy Duty LP on boots and dress shoes with very good results. Shoes and boots take a beating inside from feet sweating and salts, so I decided to experiment inside application. I use the oil with the wool dauber from the can to apply on the inside of both dress shoes and leather boots with excellent results. I have applied it inside with new and older shoe/boots, some previously dried out. For the dried out shoes and boots it has truly rejuvenated them to make them soft and pliable. I have used it on the outside also and have had no difficulty bringing a shine to dress shoes after adding the regular shoe cream for shoes. For boots on the outside I use the Heavy Duty LP.
I work in a wet environment and the heavy duty Lp really keeps my feet dry and my boots soft and never crack, I always have co-workers asking me how I'm able to work in water or mud without getting my feet wet and I've shown them the canister of LP and it's living proof!! I bough a bottle of the water shield after being impressed by the heavy LP and it was total garbage. The sprayer jammes after 3 half assed squirts and and instead of misting my jacket with an even coat of silocone it spit globs of out the silicone leaving spots all over my jacket. I couldn't even get one single use out of the bottle before the sprayer quit working and made a huge mess everywhere. What a waste of my money
How I wish I could buy LP and oil obenaufs.. unfortunately it is pratically impossible to buy these in Brazil, so i make a mix between more or less 65% olive oil and 35% beeswax to put on my leather boots. It's not the same, but it's what I had to work with.

Been using the LP for over a year now, love the product.
This stuff is fantastic and works very well, I've used it on boots with Goretex and have had no problem with it interfering.
If you've applied the silicone and want to apply LP, what do you use to strip away the silicone?
I just greased my Drew's roughout boots with LP and am looking forward to see how it performs.
Obenauf's has worked great on almost all of my leather items. I say almost because my deerskin gloves didn't care for it and got sticky.
Why is "Gore Tex approved" blacked out on the HDLP container?
The music and production of this video is a big goofy, but a lot of people have good things to say about these products so I'll give it a try.
