I love how literally every time you've renamed Barnstaple after fusing you say "I think I spelt it like that" and then change the spelling to the opposite of what it was last time.
If Joris really is useless in his current state, you could hypothetically evolve him then go into the game files to swap the evolved sprites with the cute devolved one, if you're fine with doing that. Edit: I looked up Aegislash/Ursaring's stats, ironically enough it becomes a far better special attacker if it has stance change, being 123 spatk vs 100 physatk (since its defenses becomes its attacks in sword form). Could also keep its ability as something other than stance change to keep the stats static, in which case it'd be a physical attacker (103atk vs 58spatk) Another edit: Using high base power physical attacks to special attacking pokemon and vice versa is like giving a powerful sword to a wizard with noodle arms and a really good wand to a warrior who can barely cast spells. The moves may be powerful, but they're still better off with their own implements. Moves that rely on a different stat probably still have their place for utility, and some pokemon are mixed attackers so they could have both. You can check the summary tab for pokemon to see their stats if you're unsure. For another tip, at higher levels the stats get a bit murky on how good they are, so you can try comparing it with other same-level pokemon who you know whose stats are good. It's how I realised that my salamence/gallade actually has pretty bad physical defense because I compared its defense of ~110ish to my other pokemon who I knew were bulky. Or just look it up on fusion dex. I'm getting mildly self conscious about how much I'm commenting on this video now, so I'm going to stop.
I’m really hoping he starts to look at who’s a special attacker and who’s a physical attacker. Because picking moves with higher damage makes no sense on mons that use a different stat
Mr. Streamer you can pay 50k to the professor in Violet City to make yourself the original trainer of a traded pokemon, then you can defuse it. Also, aegislash has all the coolest fusions, unfuse joris!
Haxarous+Charizard which is an amazing type matchup of Fire & Dragon with cool looking sprite too. Haxorous is also one of the earliest dragon type that can reach its final form pretty early compared to other dragon types at 48. Tyrantrum+Charizard is another Fire+Dragon candidate who can learn earthquake, along with having Strong Jaw ability and learn Crunch. Strong jaw can also buff charizard's fire fang.
I get that you don't want to evolve your teddy bear but if you did, the result is very on brand for Joris (in my opinion). You might want to consider it if you're going to retire him because his stats are too low.
If you're running Hypnosis and Nightmare on your Darkazam, I'd swap your ability from synchronize to bad dreams for the extra chip damage. Bad dreams does 1/8 of the opponents total health each turn they're asleep.
There is a npc that trades you a bulbasaur that you can actually use for fusions that you met so you can get rid of the rattata bulbasaur fusion you cant use
That "fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak pokemon stronger" is a reference to Steven Universe where a character says the same thing but about Gems rather than Pokemon. Also, congrats on embracing your inner Edgelord.
The fused form of Cofigrigus and Persian is pretty dope, and kinda edgie in an 'egyptian-god-cult' kinda way, but dos step on Gengon2s toes being normal psychic; and Feraligatr goes hard with whatever its fused with, maybe a steel type? Whatever you do, I've been loving the series and it forced me to re-install it. Keep doing what you're doing "Guy behind the screen".
If you're interested in funny fusions, Snorlax Persian has a fun custom sprite. It also means you get to have Snorlax and Payday in your party without having two normal types. Be aware though, that there's a bug in the game where unfusing a persian who has payday and then re-fusing it with a different pokemon makes it forget payday, and the move rememberer guy in the pokecenter can't teach the move back to the new fusion.
Not gonna lie Alachamp is terrible and skates by solely on psychic while the machamp part is basically useless I’m glad you refused him. Also the obvious name for dragotoise is Dragondeez
18:20 so close to the building we wanted you to visit. 50:20 clearly should be holding enter. it works bro trust me, my dad works at the pif discord. XD
Now that you have surf, you have access to the Viridian River, where all available starts will randomly spawn as overworld encounters. Go there, and you can snag a grass start to fuse with easily enough. And once you fix your Karma back to 10+...there might even be a surprise there one day. :)
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it before, but getting false swipe on a pokemon will make capturing difficult pokemon super easy, north of vermillion city on the right of the road, next to the underground passage, leaves pokemon on 1 hp if it would make them faint the first time
Since mr streamer can remember the real world examples for weaknesses heres a few more. Two birds with one stone, rock is super effective against flying. Have you tried to punch a bird? Fighting is not very effective against flying. Plants freeze and die, plants are eaten by bugs, plants burn well. Bug, ice and fire is effective against grass. Dragons are just big lizards and thus hibernate during winter, ice is effective against dragons. 🤔 I commented this about 15 minutes after the video was released, but it seems my comment was removed, og well here it is again.
We all remember saving the game in front of a legendary Pokémon, and failing a few times to catch it. No save-scum shame for Pokemon, save that for RimRim and KingKing 👍
you definitely wanna re-fuse horoth to take that adamant nature you passed over. adamant is THE best nature for physical attackers and that combined with slaking's attack stat makes the difference actually matter
Darkrai possessing an alakazam is something i can see totally happening. How else could you make darkrai stronger? Give him nesr unlimited intelligence. The thought of an omnipotent darkrai is terrifying
If Cherrim and Mr- Rime would be in the game you could even creat a Mr RimRim... sadly acording to the fusion calc neither are in the game maybe use you influence?^^
From their wiki: In versions prior to 6.0, some Pokémon had a dominant type, which will always be used when fusing to avoid things like a non-fire Charizard. In the 6.0 version of the game, only the Normal/Flying always passing on the flying type remains true.
For Barnstaple it'd be dope of you could fuse it with something that has water absorb. Ideally something that is grass or electric to still keep as a water sweeper.
Also, for the tyranitar+Charizard combo. Ground flying ain't half bad, having one of your most common weaknesses be rendered basically useless is actually dope.

For my charizard fusion, I combined it with noivern, it looks really cool. Alternatively, you could go for a tyrantrum for a fire/dragon charizard fusion and make it look like an angry fiery t-rex.
joris NEEDS an item called eviolite!! it gives a significant def/spdef boost to a not-fully-evolved pokemon. it'll be kind of a trek to get one (I would look up where they are if you're interested but it takes some minimal work in the battle tower in sevii) but it'll make him useable
The water/dragon type for Blastoise/Hydreigon don't go nearly as hard as the ones for the other way round Also Salamence (which you already have in the form of Bagon) when mixed with Duskull looks pretty awesome
At 42:30, it looks like there's an item hidden in the trees on the left. I wonder what you might have been able to pick up from a dream world. Or maybe I'm just wrong.

Fire + Ground is pretty cool highly recommend merging Charizard with a Nidoqueen or Nidoking for bulky stylish types. Magmar + Poliwag is pretty cool and goes hard.

Dew it, anakin. Dew it ⚡NOW⚡
I was just thinking joris just won’t have the stats to be useful lol
if he could get access to an eviolite it'd make joris a lot more useable, but they're not until sevii islands now
I’m really hoping he starts to look at who’s a special attacker and who’s a physical attacker. Because picking moves with higher damage makes no sense on mons that use a different stat

Never unfuse Joris. Simply get more Aegislash.
what i used to do was breed them with a ditto and unfuse the offspring

Machamp+Cofagrigus sounds amazing. They both have the multiple arm factor, the muscle, the mummy. It must be done
I hope it's Mum Ra from Thundercats.
Muscle Mummy would be an S+ tier name for a Pokémon lol
I get that you don't want to evolve your teddy bear but if you did, the result is very on brand for Joris (in my opinion).

Fair, but I do miss Father
The name from the fusion of horsea and vigoroth is pretty accurate, its an "horroth"...
The "fusion is a cheap tactic" is a Steven universe reference.
And the trainer was named Jasper

Just call him "Tyson". Like Mike Tyson and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
I'll be sad about the loss of Barnstaples old form, it's so cute and evil looking! Chaotic little imp looking thing
Calling it now, evil blackness doesn't get sorted today.
