If the UK is the root of all evil, why did the Russian Foreign Minister send his daughter to school here? Why do so many Putin oligarchs live here? I think the guy on Russian TV who said that needs a visit to the Lubyanka.

Let alone the people of Russia. “ State Narrative creates the myth in peoples mind”! That quote is so true ( sorry if I missed a couple words when repeating it). Saying without Stalin they wouldn’t have won WW2, he almost lost the Soviet Union because of his late responses and decisions to fire anyone who could be a threat to him as leader, including all generals who knew war from WW1, and without them left his military with inexperienced leaders(Hitler did this too). Sounds a lot like what Putin is doing now. Which is what Those obsessed with Power & never losing it will do. Their paranoia about anyone and everyone unfortunately have no limits.

Instead, conservatives piled scorn on whomever Trump blamed for his own massive failings as a leader. We Americans watched one talented general, CEO, or dept head after another got sacked and dismissed, their decades-long careers of service ruined forever. Rex Tillerson was one of our brightest CEOs, LITERALLY a MENSA member, and brought the Boy Scouts of America back from the scandal-ridden years...canned when Trump's trade war with China failed. Our FBI Director, who had been described as "the most eloquent, loyal, and competent leader of the FBI in history... canned when he refused to stand by Trump's attempt to blackmail the Ukrainian president into manufacturing "evidence" against the Biden family... canned. $ top Army and Marine Corps generals: all canned. Gen Mad Dog Mattis, DoD chief, after refusing to remain quiet about Trump throwing our allies the Kurds to the Muslim Turks to butcher: resigned before Trump could can him. Russia's higher echelons would like nothing more than to act like US/UK have been acting when their interests felt threatened.
A lot of people think that because both sides are suffering heavy casualties that means Russia is actually acting like terrorist organization but thats completely counter-logic. If Russia wanted to act as a terrorist organization, they would just do as UK / US act every time their interests feel threatened, which translates into indiscriminate bombings untill total country collapse, train and supply terrorist organizations that dont fight on a single battlefront but rather pop out everywhere because they are covert, enforce harsh sanctions or embargos that can last like 60 years (Cuba) promote revolutions and install dictatorships ( South America).Promoting democracy is my favorite one, said dictator gets executed and the country goes back to the stone-age (Libya) while people are made to believe that the said country was not even in the stone-age before the intervention.
People seem to forget that at the end of March Ukraine was ready to make concessions and agree with the Russians on the points they wanted, but then UK PM popped up and said NO the war continues, yet people believe this war is fought by Ukraine. How can people believe Zelensky whos political campaign was 4 years long , playing president in TV series, running on peace platform, no political experience, no military experience is actually running the country and not executing orders, this guy is a literal green screen president that has no clue of geopolitics and everyone in his cabinet that did have any clue got executed/exiled in March 2022.
Just think about it, which country is willing to sacrifice its whole demographic, economy and infrastructure instead of agreeing on neutrality and use of diplomacy to solve Crimea/Donbas issue (majority of objective thinkers in political sociology and international law circles think that Crimea was unlawfully gifted to Ukraine by Khrushchev and with the clear vision of USSR as a whole and for some administrative reasons).
Ukraine is 44 million, a lot of people work in EU on visas or want to. Now that 10 million Ukrainians entered the EU, how many of them do you think will eventually return in Ukraine even if its being rebuild ? Rebuilding Ukraine might take decades and it will all be done on LOANS, rich foreigners/companies....its absolute terrible decision to go to war with Russia and no Ukrainian leader would have wanted that.
Of course Russia will suffer consequences too but honestly, do Ukrainians care ? Is this some game where Ukraine has taken X damage but Russia has taken X damage too so its all good ? How does Russia taking damage in this scenario help Ukraine as a whole ? It doesnt bring back dead people or refugees, if the war ends tomorrow the infrastructure will still be destroyed, the deaths of thousands of young men will echo for 100 years to come just as they have echoed in USSR after WWII.
In the end Russia didnt do anything unexpected, its Ukraine who took the unexpected and unreasonable road. Ukraine had golden opportunity to be a prosperous mediator between EU and Russia, had that happened in the future EU would have emerged even stronger than US, but instead now Ukrainians suffer war with Russia and because Europe has no real political class its now suffering economic warfare imposed by US against the collective East.

Some things never changed. Whenever something went wrong in the Soviet Union, they didn't look for ways to identify and solve problems. They looked for somebody to blame. So it seems this is a Russian thing, after all. The West tends to focus more on solving the problem first and then find out who to blame/punish later.

We see this one life is far more significant because of hijab topic. It is obvious that you are here for hijab not life. I wondered why did you choose to come out using that woman's death? It is the first woman ever recorded died due to hijab and you like that one time is opportunity of life time. So you come out because you do not get chances like this. It was not an attack on a military target. If they had bombd it were people were not driving cars on it it would be fine a fair target.. But ukraine.. And not russia has a history of specifically targeting civillians in terror type attacks... Intentional shelling of civillians, human sheilds ect.. Ukraine is not the "good guys" dont get me wrong russia is not the good guys either.. But both sides are decidedly bad and lack moral logic in any of their actions

What makes Putin believe Russia will not fall into the same isolated place the USSR found itself? Glasnost was the chance for the Russian people to come to terms with their Stalinist past and to set a new course of cooperation and prosperity … they had it all within their grasp .. they could have chosen courage and enforced a democracy that served all Russians. But they chose Putin. So, through lack of courage and conviction, they find themselves right back where they started 40 years ago … Pitiful.

Vladolf Putin was appointed to head the FSB (see the Polonium Plot), ignored a report on an out of control kill squad implicated in the assassination attempt on the PM, then probably gained info on Yeltsin to force the succession.
Fair elections are a myth in Russia, Yeltsin did a deal with unpopular oligarchs for their media support for his re-election. Vladolf had ex-KGB and a popular reputation for competence, plus the external threat of Chechnya.
