  • Hi everyone! In this Bonsai video Attila Csintalan takes us on a journey through his beautiful Bonsai Garden!
    Stepping into Attila's Bonsai Garden, you'll find a tranquil Japanese Garden aesthetic that exudes harmony and balance. Every detail in the garden, from the homemade Japanese lantern to the meticulously crafted Torii Gate, has been handcrafted by Attila himself. The garden is home to a remarkable collection of bonsai trees in various stages of development. Japanese Maples, Chestnuts, Junipers, and Swamp Cypress are just a few examples. Attila's primary focus lies on deciduous trees, and his dedication to growing from seed and starting trees from raw materials has enabled him to create an abundance of bonsai.
    He employs the clip and grow method, as well as wiring techniques, to shape his Bonsai. What sets Attila apart is his commitment to growing bonsai trees from scratch, never purchasing a tree already designated as a "Bonsai". This unwavering dedication to the complete life cycle of the trees highlights his passion for the art form. Attila's love for Japanese maple trees is evident in the presence of two greenhouses filled with Japanese maple seedlings, showcasing his dedication to their long-term care and development.
    Over the past six years, he has passionately honed his skills and deepened his knowledge in the art of bonsai. Originally from Hungary and now living in Dublin, his journey has taken him across borders and cultures, enriching his understanding of Bonsai's universal beauty. No tour of Attila's Bonsai Garden would be complete without mentioning his loyal companion, Floki, his beloved dog who is always by his side!

    Don't tend to comment on videos on the bonsai channels I watch. But I have to say this is my kind of interest. Seeing other enthusiasts personal passion which we can relate to immensely. Visiting their personal space is inspiring. Good work.

    I've been collecting found seed for several years now and find it thrilling to see all the trees he has grown from seed. Plus, I'm a huge oak fan myself! Exciting to see such a wide variety of oaks in his collection. Another video full of inspiration for me. I'm starting to think I'm not so crazy with my trays and trays of seedlings and propagations. 😂 🌱💚

    The difference in girth between the two 2 year old maples is most likely from the root system. One of them just happened into a more advantageous situation. There surely is some genetic component but I find it's all in the roots.

    @attilacsintalan3285 love the work youve done in such a short time. And every tree looks brilliantly healthy and so bright! My question is about your maple seedlings. Whats your process for stratifying or can you simply plant seeds and wait for sprouts? Thanks for the inspiration. Its videos like this that keep me practicing

    • @attilacsintalan3285
      @attilacsintalan3285 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Happy to hear 😊 About the seeds. I just plant them around Oct-November every year. Leave them outside in the greenhouse. They got cold enough to stratify over winter months, and around march hopefully u will see the new little trees 😊

    • @driftunit1
      @driftunit1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@attilacsintalan3285 ok cool that sounds easy enough. I live in the Appalachian mountains in north Carolina. Our mild cold winters should be fairly natural for maples.ill certainly try that for next season. Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work!

      We have mild winters here in Ireland, temp goes down to -4 celsius in the "worst scenario" , but usually is around 0-6 celsius, so you should be just fine ;) , on the following of my work, i am working on my own social media launch very soon. Will keep u updatef 😊

    How old does a maple seedling have to be before you prune it?

    • @attilacsintalan3285
      @attilacsintalan3285 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Jason. It is depends on how thick you want to trunk ;) I will leave these for another year before decide what they will became ;)

    • @skolvikes28
      @skolvikes28 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@attilacsintalan3285 Hey Attila, thanks for the reply! The trunk is about as thick as a chopstick at the base and then higher it gets less “woody” and turns green. Probably 7 centimeters of wood. About 1.5 meters tall in total. Any suggestions on when I can start pruning?

    • @attilacsintalan3285
      @attilacsintalan3285 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you satisfied with the thickness , you can start pruning, but i usually leave them to reach the sky , more foliage/leaf, more energy production, quicker and stronger growth, but if you want to keep them nice and short you can start pruning them, well depends on your location :)@@skolvikes28
