Every time I watch a video, the whole time I'm telling the tv "look at that!" "Look what he did with that!" and "isn't that just amazing." The whole video, every video. Maybe now that I'm sharing, I'll start saying something else. I'll keep everyone posted. ✌🏼
Good to see back doing videos, I find cotoneasters make great little trees I have some in different styles, they are fun to work with, boy do we need to fun at the moment as the weather is not sure what season we are in, I have a maple in full leaf already plus a few not far behind. All the best with your trees
Hey thanks Joe! 😊 They sure are fun ones as they're so resilient and grow fast. Oh noo that's not good! I hope your trees are okay after this super early start! I have heard that some Azalea and rhododendron flowers are already wilting this time of year 😅
Thank you very much! I try to be as informative as possible! The plan now is to let the tree get healthy, grow like crazy and let the roots fill the pot before we prune again! 😀🌳❤
Cotoneasters are one of my favourite trees, great video! The little one with all the berries reminds me of an apple tree. Going to try and make a similar one myself. Than you for the inspiration!
Szia Adam! Válaszodat előre is köszönöm!
You mentioned it being cold where you are - I'm in Philadelphia-PA-USA - we are still in winter we have been in the 40sF. Is it too early to repot before they really wake up? I have a Cotoneaster that is begging for attention. Thanks
Ahh Philadelphia can definitely get chilly in the winter! In general, it's best to wait until after the last frost and when temperatures consistently stay above freezing before repotting your bonsai trees, especially if they're still in dormancy. Since your Cotoneaster is showing signs of needing attention, you might consider waiting just a bit longer until temperatures start to warm up a bit more consistently. Repotting too early while the tree is still dormant can shock it and potentially harm its health. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and wait for a stretch of milder temperatures before proceeding with repotting. Once spring is in full swing and your Cotoneaster begins to show signs of new growth, that's usually a good indicator that it's safe to proceed with repotting.🌱🌿

Hey Kennet! 😄 Thanks for watching!
Been waiting for the update on the split trunk. That's my favorite video so far - I'm glad to see the tree doing so well
Hey thank you so much! 😃 I do like this one too!! It should put on some good growth this year 😃🌳
Beautiful, informative and uplifting! Thanks for your work, Adam!

Nice! Remember this split trunk dude quite well. Do you think shortening one of the trunks would make the overall design more dramatic and impactful?

Nice work. May I ask where you got your lava rock from?
Good video, Adam, is it ok to repot cotoneasters now in N Ireland even if they're not budding? Beginner, thanks
It's generally best to wait until they start showing signs of growth before repotting. 😁
@@notionbonsai Oooops! I repotted one because I saw your video
You use a very inorganic substrate Adam - is it very wet where you are?
Yes it rains a lot here 😀
Thanks@@notionbonsai for responding. I like your videos by the way - thank you for the content
