Dear Laura, thank you so much for this video. I bought a bobbin winder several years ago and I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t think I’ve ever opened the box. I haven’t used it yet, 🤣😂 Now I have a really difficult time threading my machine so using this will be a great help.
I’ve had one of these for years (different brand of course and no USB charging 😂) and it’s the greatest thing ever. Never fails that you run out of bobbin thread at a crucial moment and it’s a pain to take the thread off the machine and go through all the hassle of filling the bobbin. I keep bobbins pre wound using this gadget and it is so nice. Probably the best sewing gadget I’ve ever bought. And I’ve bought a few. 😊
I just bought one of these after months of asking myself “Do I need it?”. Well, it turned out I didn’t NEED it but it sure is convenient and I’m very happy that I bought it! Thank you for the tutorial, Laura!
I have one of the original singer bobbin winders and now I have one that winds the jumbo bobbins for my Grace quilting machine. Such nice accessories to invest in, I use them frequently.
Do you need a special bobbin winder for the Grace long arm machines? I hate the one that's on it, it's hard to see because I'm a rather compact person 😅
I still have my singer winder that I bought when they first came out. It's nice to see the improvements and when I need to replace my current winder I'll definitely be looking at the Hemline winder, any excellent features and improvements.
I have been considering purchasing a winder, especially since I purchased my Brother embroidery machine. And I am always frustrated when I go to wind them on my Viking sewing machine. Thanks for this overview. This is the first one I've seen that looks sturdy and is able to wind for the Viking.
Quite a few years ago when I first heard of these and I had purchased a Top of the line Husqvarna Viking SE LE, I wanted one of these bobbin winders but everything I heard and read was that it would not work for Viking machines so never got one! I still have this machine (among many, many other vintage Singers) and I now own a wonderful BabyLock Presto 2 machine. I’ve switched to prewound bobbins which work beautifully but I would still like to know if it it’s really true that these bobbin winding machines won’t work well for certain brands!
Was just thinking about a bobbin winder. Need one that can accept the 5,900 meter size Aurifil cones and can wind a vintage Bernina metal bobbin. I know you said it doesn’t work on the large Bernina bobbins, so it can work on the old style ones?
@@margaretjeffrey7447I just looked at Amazon and there was many bobbin winders but none with this brand name. I did see a place on Etsy but had limited quantity. I will not buy a no-name brand or even the Singer brand which is the one I was warned about. My local stores and many I’ve been to when I travel do not carry any bobbin winders. I’m impressed with this one but it looks hard to find! But I’ll keep looking!!!
I ordered one based on your recommendation; unfortunately, the thread guide was missing. I contacted the seller and I hope they will be able to send one otherwise, this is completely unusable.
Also, my granddaughter that is 11 now keeps me stocked. Since she was 7 she's loved this little machine.

Thank you. Informative and to the point. 😊
What a nifty idea Laura. Thanks for showing us
I didn't know that such a thing exists. Thank you! I will buy one.

I love my bobbin winder!! I do 30 white and 30 black. I usually use colored bobbins less and only load a few colored bobbins at a time.

You just answered the question about Viking machines that I wrote - thanks! Should have watched the while video first😁😳
I need this in my life!! Thank you!
This would be brilliant for my embroidery machine, I hate having to stop midway through a pattern. Thank you Laura x
I just bought this yesterday. Love it!
Great idea Laura, thank you for sharing this with us
Thank you for enabling me 😅😂 I use a Singer Featherweight and now I don’t have to use the machines bobbin threader👏👏

This looks good, thankyou, Laura. Hugs, Chel 🌸
I used vintage machines, love my side winder.
I have the Singer bobbin winder. All my bobbins wind uneven. Does anyone have a suggestion to help me troubleshoot this issue?
Thank you Laura, I had never heard of these. Now the question is of course should I get it😂
Thanks for showing how it works. I plan on getting me one.
I just ordered a Singer
I love mine!! They are great!

I bought one for my old Singer as the bobbin winder did not work. I like having it around to wind many bobbins at once.

I use mine all the time
Couldn’t find the description field so I could order it!
How clever!
I would like to purchase this but it doesn’t give me that opportunity on Hemline’s website. Where can I purchase it please?
One of my machines has bobbins with NO centre hole. Will it work for this?
No, you do need a hole
Hi, I just went to the site and they don't show the price- where can I find out how much it is?
The link for for stores to get it. Please check with your local shop
Showing about £20 for the bobbin winder
There is no info for US locations. I did see one on Etsy
Amazon have them

Does it fit featherweight bobbins?

The website doesn’t show how to order it.
