- Welcome everyone on board the 4 class Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER, the oddball in the fleet.
And that is as QR only operates two cabins of service on all its regular B777 aircraft.
This is however an ex-Cathay Pacific aircraft and Qatar Airways kept the original First, Business and Premium Economy Class cabins.
As I fly quite often between the Dubai and Istanbul I thought it would be nice to show you the same flight in both cabins.
While the Premium Economy seats are sold as Economy, you can purchase these at an additional cost. The service continues to be the same as in Economy but with a lot of extra comfort.
I believe that they kept this cabin to test the interest people have to pay extra for more comfort in order to possibly consider their own Premium Economy Class product soon. And I hope that day comes as I’m here for it!
So join me on this journey to Istanbul on the four class B777 in both Business and Premium Economy Class and experience what is one of the best B777 cabins in the world.

I'm amazed at how soothing this video is, with each frame meticulously recorded and a serene atmosphere. Even without commentary, the subtitles effortlessly convey the content. So glad I went on youtube! Watched this right after it got uploaded. That is so cool! Premium economy on QATAR!!! Maybe they should consider it. That's an experience with the LV lounge. I didn't qr and ek were doing that. But why invite them when you have to pay! I kind of like that look of business class on QR's aircraft. Maybe qr should install that for business and qsuite for first. I don't understand why ME airlines expand so much, it kind of annoys me. They should focus on improving experience instead of expanding, like the regional flights should also board from a gate. And why are all of the flights in the midnight for the indo-pak region. Truly annoying! Im starting to get more and more disappointed with QR. Even though the airline is qatari, they need intl IFE as their traffic is nothing but qatari! LOL. Great video as always though
So basically Etihad and Armani worked together and shortly after QR announced the LV thing. So I thought it was going to be something interesting but it’s nothing but a stupid stunt. I felt really silly to waste my time there.
Regarding the experience from South Asia, I flew recently from Kathmandu and I can guarantee that was my best flight ever on QR. And it was on an old A330-300!

Great stuff as per another great review of QR, the Louis Vuitton bar looked insanely beautiful I’d need a loan to set foot in there 😍😂. Only AV geeks would enjoy a bus to the stand 😍. One of my favourite additions to your video is that you’ve got all the aircraft’s and destinations etc that’s impressive 😊👏. Little jealous your on my favourite aircraft 77W😍 you can’t beat the GEs. Well, you need to be lucky to get the extra seats or be willing to pay for the premium..
I’ve had a flight where both his mom and I had to let him sleep on our laps and that wasn’t fun, so that happens too 😬
The Airbus drama could in a sense be a blessing in disguise, it’s given QR the opportunity to experiment with their fleet a bit - there’s the 4 class 777s, the 737maxes, the a330s and a380s brought out of retirement - I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept some of these planes or at least adopted some other changes like the premium economy like you mentioned
Oh and the leased Oman air a330s which I’m flying on tomorrow
Man, the logistics of a singular plane like this, the food presentation, the cooking it surprises me. I mean they don't have a proper kitchen so how is this even done 😂. Not to mention the logistics involved in mega busy airports like IST
Great informative video high lighted some cabin features that answered my questions. Al Barker was a visionary for QR what is he doing now? Please do a segment on Istanbul which is also my favorite city from an insider view to eat and tour the city.

Hey there again! Istanbul is nice and big, but I’m really not a fan.. It’s just too big! But yet I visit all the time, specially when visiting Croatia as we take a short rest and nice meal in Istanbul before continuing.
But yeah, big.. too much.
I am also not a fan of large airports.

Many things.. I mostly work in the hospitality industry and at events.
I also do some things on the side. I hope to be able to be more transparent about this some day but at the moment I have tight exclusivity contracts that require discretion 😊

@16:55 you mentioned "seat update" but this is the aircraft Qatar airways leased from Cathay pacific during covid and they are still flying it.
I mean that the ones in Economy Class got an update with new screens while the rest of the aircraft remains the same. I think this was done when the configuration changed from 3-3-3 abreast to 3-4-3.
Ah, you told me that you were going to be on one of these Ex Cathay Aircraft on the Ex-Delta Air India 777-200LR video 2 months ago.
Quite interesting to see a Qatar Airways aircraft without the grey colours, but still nevertheless very cool to see this trip report!

Yes, I’ve actually flown the ex-Cathay B777 quite often but wanted to have a video in both cabins as it saves me time vs making two separate video’s, so here is the result!

Yes, the same aircraft and flight to Istanbul but on different dates. One I went in Business and the other my wife went in Business. We often do that so one of us can chill 😛

The warm nuts offered on Qatar appears very shiny and shimmering and tastes like chewing plastic or silicone. A friendly crew once told me they heard this complaint from many 😂 I can’t wait for my next flight with Qatar and try the warm bread dipped in that Lemon flavoured olive oil. It mean’s world to me!

Wow, Qatar airways use the Boeing 777-300ER for a 4 hour flight to Istanbul, interesting.
And even on shorter flights to Dubai! That’s just 35 min.
Wow.
They really need to offer this product. As it is, anyone who wants anything more than a cramped seat has to pay 10 times the price for business class. Even American Airlines offers passengers on their LAX-JFK routes the choice between first, business, premium economy, and economy, on their 102-seat A321 Transcontinental plane.
What kind of expansion is Hamad International Airport is doing now?
Considering that half of the aircraft are parked remotely it makes only sense to add some extra jet bridges!

It depends on the day, company, route and aircraft. But amongst the ones I love are Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore, ANA, JAL and Qatar.

Qatar Airways has gone to shit tbh. Their customer service is so deplorable nowadays. The crew seems very tired all the time. They refused to even give me an extra bottle of water:) great going QR. I also missed my connecting flight because of their "technical delay" and they were so unprofessional at Hamad while arranging my alternate booking. It's ridiculous. I'm never stepping on another QR flight again.

An airline that does not appreciate a healthy and honest dose of criticism is not worthy of business, at least mine. For you all to decide, this is a free world (it appears not to Qatar).
