This video was filmed over 10 days in East Java, Indonesia. The total budget for the backpacking travel per person was $400 including our car rental, tours, food and accommodation (bucket showers were had).
This film claimed the life of one drone (RIP my friend) and almost a second. No regrets.

Hey I’m Jackson Groves, I’ve been away from since 2012 and backpacking around the world since 2016. I graduated with a degree in journalism after playing football/soccer for 20 years of my life. I studied in Australia before moving to Oregon and Hawaii in USA to study, graduate and play football/soccer.

I stared to follow your adventures when I read an article about you being in Madeira, an island I am lucky enough to call home and also love to explore.
You are definitely doing justice to it's beauty.
There is no doubt you have been visiting stunning places, honouring the decision you made to travel around the world and inspire others to also make decisions that make them feel alive. However I am curious to know more about the "You" you are becoming in this whole process. If you look back at the moment you made this decision and look at yourself now, do you feel you have changed? Lately, I've been feeling like all I want to do is get out and adventure and be surrounded by nature! Currently, I am in a job that I studied four years to have and I am extremely unhappy. I need MORE OUT OF MY LIFE. i need more of a purpose. I am living month to month unable to save any money. Jackson, do you have any tips on saving money for travel? Or how to travel when you really do not have much? What are some ways to make money? How did you do it?
