Miguel started the fight, and pushed it. The first legit mistake Robby made, to Miguel, personally, was when he didn't tell anyone Miguel brought back the medal. Miguel then engaged in the fight with Robby in the school when Robby was trying to de-escalate the situation. Then Robby made a big mistake in his reaction to the fight. Yes, they both made mistakes, but, like with Johnny, Miguel made it into a thing and ignited the fight.
Despite everything, I still see thier quarrel being the result of Sam. Had she been honest from the very beginning, regardless of how Daniel and Johnny would've reacted, the rivalry would've never happened.
To be fair she was going to as she said to Robby when they were parking the car at the party but bad timing with Miguel getting drunk and seeing them together which caused the almost fight and breakup.

You absolutely nailed it, their rivalry has almost always been based on misunderstandings but with them in Mexico in season 5 they will finally have a chance to sort things out. Can't wait for a Miguel/Robby team up. Also please make more videos about the rivalries like SamVsTory

I tend to think Robby’s more the victim than anyone else. Even in season 1 when Robby finds out Sam has a boyfriend, he backs off for another season until Sam and Miguel are broken up and she becomes interested. Then she just cheats on him with Miguel. Between Miguel, Sam, Tory, and Robby in the school fight, with Miguel and Sam being the ones in the affair and Tory starting the fight, Robby tries to stop it before being attacked and taunted by Miguel and he’s the only one sent to Juvie for letting his anger getting out of hand after Miguel shows mercy, which I think he had every right to do seeing as how that’s what Miguel did in season one when Robby showed mercy and tried to help Miguel up in the tournament. Plus Johnny barely ever tries to reconnect with him throughout the whole show and basically replaces him with Miguel. I was fine with this for the first few seasons because Johnny was just being a sensei to him but in season 4 he’s flat out trying to be Miguel’s dad and putting that before trying to repair his relationship with his own son. I just hope Robby catches a break in season 5.

@@jaimeruiz7837 Very true, but then again this isn’t some moral debate. We’re just talking about two guys who have done crappy things to each other. The question “Who’s right” really refers to “Who is and isn’t in the wrong”. Both have their rights and wrongs, but overall in the “Who deserves Johnny” struggle, I think Robby is more deserving since he is actually his son. Circumstances falling into place to favor Miguel, however, pin Robby against them both. It’s not really Miguel’ fault, but it does nevertheless leave Robby in a rough spot. Not saying everything he does is excused. Obviously he shouldn’t have injured Miguel after he showed mercy, but when it comes to “Who’s the aggressor/victim”, I certainly wouldn’t say he’s the aggressor or in the wrong when going back and looking at the key points in the rivalry. Both are really great though, and I’m hoping they can just resolve their problems by end of season 5. I just think that Miguel could take a step back to make it easier for Johnny and his son’s relationship to mend itself.

Johnny and Robby have had bad blood between each other their whole lives while Miguel has gotten nothing but a good father figure. At it’s core, their conflict is a lot like sibling rivalry, which I think will be very prevalent in season 5. There was too much between the two kids in the first few seasons for Johnny to ever manage both. That being said, with Miguel on a search for fatherhood in Mexico and Johnny finally making things right with Robby, I think this next season will be able to finally clear the air, and Johnny will be able to fix his relationship with both his kids. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Honestly Sam is the origin of both of these guys problems. If she told Miguel she was grounded, not only would he not have gotten drunk, but he wouldn't have tried to attack Robby. And that single act would have improved Robby and Miguel's relationship exponentially. Sure Miguel might not like Robby, and would get angry, but he wouldn't be influenced by alcohol into attacking a stranger he just met. I hate how Sam is portrayed as the goody goody girl when she's the one in the wrong, Miguel made it clear to her he felt like she was avoiding him. And then Sam has beef with Tory over a misunderstanding, and proceeds to kiss Miguel, which he instantly regrets and walks away from, in perfect view of the party, and thus Tori. Tori and Sam had beef, but it was petty shit like tripping each other or calling the other names, but Sam makes a move on Miguel when she knows he has a new girlfriend. And Robby is just left in the dust, festering his resentment towards Miguel, especially after he won the All-Valley and all the stuff with his dad. Robby and Miguel could have been wholesome rivals if Sam had sent the unfinished text her mom interrupted her from sending. On the brightside we get the Cobra Kai-Miyagi Do School Brawl, so fuck it.

One thing I always hated about Johnny is how he clearly favors Miguel over Robby, and yet we're expected to believe he cares for both equally. I can't believe there are people who think Johnny is a caring father for Robby. Like name one thing he did for him other then dropping him off at school once. It just makes their reconciliation scene at the end of S4 feel so unearned on Johnny's end.
Johnny is honestly an insanely flawed character and has made tons of mistakes and his neglect of Robby is honestly his worst trait, but Johnny also tried to basically tell him to leave those punks, has warned him about Kreese because he cared about his safety, he even said I love you Robby in front of Miguel while drunk showing signs of Vulnerability and sadness, He has regretted and has shown signs of Regret ever since, it’s gonna take time for mental wounds to heal

They're definitely gonna fight each other in season 5, and from the looks of it, it's probably gonna be like the school fight from season 2, except it's just between Miguel and Robby.
They both have reasons for their actions. And most of their confrontations have been the result of misunderstandings and immaturity. Then there's Johnny's insistance on trying to be the perfect father/sensei to both and constantly making some easy avoidable mistakes. Once the air is finally allowed to clear between them they should be able to move on in a better direction.
To me it's 50/50. They both are good people, but have a bit of a dark side. Teenagers go through an identity crises and all of that. Around season 5 Johnny may help both of them settle their differences.
No matter how much you like Miguel more or argue he’s a better kid/person you can’t deny that Miguel started the whole beef between him & Robby he tried to start a fight with him at the beach party cause he thought Robby & Sam were together. He also purposefully fought dirty against Robby by targeting his injured shoulder/arm during there match in the 1st All Valley. Also Robby was trying to stop the school fight but Miguel attacked him & Robby is labeled as the bad guy in the situation because he accidentally kicked Miguel off the ledge like we all know he didn’t mean to cripple him he just got angry & let his emotions get the better of him which was caused by Miguel talking shit while they was fighting abt how Johnny & Sam love/prefer him. It’s also proven to be true cause then in Season 3 Sam thinks Robby purposely kicked him off the ledge & gets back wit Miguel the second he recovers & Johnny chose to be there for Miguel during his surgery rather this his own blood son that’s in juvie & could really use some support that he’s also never been there for. In conclusion the Miguel bias in the fandom & by the writers themselves is way too crazy Robby is a better written character tbh & rn in Season 4 Eli/Hawk & Robby both would more than likely beat Miguel in a fight.

Then in the tournament when Miguel was on the floor Roby gave his hand and Miguel took advantage and pulled his arm that was already hurt.. and to end this, Robby was trying to calm Sam and Tory for fighting and Miguel attacked him
I think the reason why Miguel got better in the latter season is because Robby lost focues he let his emotion consume him. Especially when he was fighting him in season 2 he lost his control that's Miguiel gained the upperhand.
I understand Robby the most really though. It's not just the thrash metal, or the law breaking under peer pressure, but the overall status of relation. I can definitely relate to not having parents around. My dad was always with some woman while my mom was absent.
At 5:30, since Johnny truly does value Miguel as his son, he will absolutely not choose one over the other. He wants to have both. Especially after watching season 5, it was obvious. He did not choose one. Both are the most important young boys in his life. It was also very obvious in season 4, that Miguel loves Johnny, and Johnny has nothing to repair with Miguel, but since he is so remorseful over Robby, it is why Johnny apologizes to him in his sleep, which did hurt Miguel, but Miguel is young and did not understand that yet. Likewise, when Miguel asked, "Whose side are you on?" Johnny very sincerely uttered, "Your side Diaz. Always," as if Johnny felt like it was almost *obvious* that he loves Miguel as much as anyone.
robby was better person throughout the whole show, in s1 miguel started out pretty aggressive but then in s3 he started changing and becoming a better person. both made some mistakes but i think overall robby was better.

I think they both had a point Robby felt replaced and Miguel felt like he had gain a father only to lose him later on. Robbie on the other hand while he saw Daniel as a mentor he would always want Johnny to be a better father to him which prevents him from seeing Daniel fully as a father figure. I actually hope they squash their beef by the end of the show unlike their mentors who had that beef turn them bitter and petty
They’ll probably have a similar arc to Daniel and Johnny in Season 3. I expect when Miguel meets up with Johnny and Robby, there’s gonna be a fight and Miguel and Robby will have to team up, but it’ll end with them both trading blows, similar to the chop shop fight in Season 3 Episode 2. I also see Miguel’s dad being connected to Terry Silver somehow because it’d be kinda lame for him to go to Mexico, meet his dad, and his dad never return. It’s unknown what side Robby is on, and if he’s still a Cobra Kai member, but he is still close to Kenny and wants him to go on the right path in life. If he knows Miguel’s father and what he’s like, and if he’s connected to Terry Silver at all, he’ll have to put aside his differences with everyone to help Kenny out. I’m probably rambling and there’s something else, but I can see Robby and Miguel going through the same arch that Daniel and Johnny did in Season 3.
Robby actually tried to stop the fight twice in the season 2 finale and Miguel attacked him twice, Miguel can’t just say a little “I’m sorry” then expect Robby to calm down. “You like that move I learned it from your dad”. “She doesn’t love you she loves me” (referring to Sam when he was with Tory). Miguel was at fault.
Yeah ur right he deserved to get kicked off a railing and nearly fall to his death. Yeah they were both present for the fight but one of them chose to "show mercy" or u know not be a psychopath and take it down a notch while the other one literally kicked someone off the stairs and NEVER apologized
@Rock plus I also wanna mention that Miguel was trying to stop the beef between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai. Miguel went to apologize to Robby when he returned the medal of honor. He told Robby that he dosent want any problems but Robby decided to hide the medal and not tell anyone
I think Robby could’ve been better in season 1 if he was adopted at a young age than adopted by a single mother and never met his parents than gets a job at Larusso auto as a new experience for him, than sees some guys trying to steal a car than fights them off and wins with Daniel watching seeing something in Robby decides to teach him karate, bonding with Daniel, Robby then finding out about Sam hitting Johnny’s car so Robby would convince Sam to tell her parents she hit Johnny’s car and Sam would agree, I wouldn’t have Robby go to the party with Sam but instead I’d have Sam go by herself, Robby would see Daniel and Johnny together and Robby would be confused on who Johnny was so Johnny would tell Robby he’s his father, Robby would be shocked and confused, Daniel wouldn’t be upset at Robby but would comfort him on the realization, at the tournament I’d still have Robby compete but wouldn’t be focused while looking at Johnny but Daniel would help Robby focus, I’d have Miguel and Hawk fight in the semis and I’d have Miguel beat Hawk badly, Sam would break up with Miguel and Miguel would be angry, Robby and Miguel would fight in the finals and Robby and Miguel’s fight would last longer with one of them having to get 10 points to win, Robby would fight honorably while Miguel would fight dirty and Robby would get final kick on Miguel than the buzzer goes off with the decision of Miguel being the winner with a score of 8-7, Miguel would win the tournament but Robby would win the night, Daniel would still reopen Miyagi Do. Season 2 would start off similar Robby and Johnny would talk at that store, Robby wouldn’t be ready to reconcile with Johnny just yet, 3 episodes later Robby would decide to give Johnny a chance and they would bond and Johnny would ask Robby if he’d want to learn some lessons from Johnny, Robby would say sure so Robby would learn some offense from Johnny in secret along with Tory since she joins in episode 4, Robby would become a stronger fighter, Robby and Tory would bond and Robby would teach Tory some defensive moves, Robby would surprise the Miyagi Dos with his new skills, Daniel would wonder where Robby learned those moves from, Robby would still continue to bond with Johnny and learn more offense from him, Sam would go talk to Robby than would kiss him surprising Robby, I’d still have Miguel and Tory get together but with Miguel surprising Tory by kissing her, at Moon’s party Robby and Tory would be talking to each other, Robby and Tory would tell each other that they aren’t sure if their feelings for Miguel and Sam were true, than they would see they have a lot more in common than they with Miguel and Sam and Robby and Tory would kiss but not by accident but because they deep down knew they were meant to be together and wouldn’t care what Miguel and Sam think about them, Sam would see Robby and Tory kiss and would be upset about it, at school Sam would tell Miguel about Robby and Tory kissing and this would enrage Miguel so he would go looking for Robby in the hallways and would find him and would punch him and they would start fighting, Tory would try to defend Robby from Miguel then Sam comes in and tackles Tory in rage for kissing Robby, the school fight would still start, Sam would use what she learned from Daniel to fight Tory off but would be surprised that Tory knew Miyagi Do defense, Robby and Miguel would still fight on the second floor and Miguel would use what he learned from Johnny to fight Robby off but would be surprised that Robby knows Cobra Kai offense, Tory would be beating Sam in the fight and would have Sam on the ground but Sam would kick Tory off of her and Tory would fall down the stairs but would see that she accidentally put Tory in a coma, Robby and Miguel would continue fighting on the second floor and Robby would use both Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai on Miguel and would have Miguel in a position where he’s about to break his arm but shows mercy, Miguel would remember a lesson he learned from Kreese and would attack Robby and would accidentally kick him off the balcony, Robby would be put in a coma along with Tory so both Robby and Tory would be taken to the hospital while Sam goes to a girls juvie while Miguel goes to a boys juvie, Robby’s foster mother would show up heartbroken, Tory’s mother would go to the hospital to see Tory heartbroken as well, season 2 would still end the same with Daniel shutting down Miyagi Do, Kreese would still kick Johnny out of Cobra Kai, but this time I would bring back Terry Silver. In season 3 Daniel wouldn’t be the only one being shitted on for what happened at the school but Johnny would as well, Robby and Tory would eventually wake up, Robby would be angry at Daniel for teaching him to show mercy and would blame him for being out in the hospital, Silver would help Robby walk again but would help him walk again so he can use him to be Cobra Kais version of the Winter Soldier, Tory would help Robby walk again, Tory’s relationship with Robby would improve, Sam and Miguel would get out and would return home and would go back to West Valley High, Miguel would still join Eagle Fang while Sam heads back to Miyagi Do, Robby would still join Cobra Kai, the house fight would still happen but Robby and Tory wouldn’t show up because Silver doesn’t want them to know about the house fight because they would leave if they find out, Hawk would still redeem himself, Johnny would go fight Kreese but would see Robby there and would be angry and would try to fight Kreese but Robby would pull him away from Kreese and would try to fight him but Johnny would accidentally slam Robby’s head against the locker then Tory would try to fight Johnny but he would beat her, Daniel would show up and he would fight Silver and would be couscous of Silver’s attacks and Daniel would beat him, Silver would propose tournament with Robby and Tory being him and Kreese’s top dogs, Silver would call Barnes to help them out, season 3 would still end the same with Johnny and Daniel teaming up, the only thing I would change is Hawk getting rid of the Mohawk because he thinks it’s the Mohawk that turned him into an asshole. In season 4 Silver would go to talk with Mike and Mike wouldn’t be interested in coming back then Silver would persuade Mike to come back so Mike would return to Cobra Kai, Mike and Robby would have a bond the same as Miguel and Johnny’s, Robby would see Mike as a true father to him, Kenny would join Cobra Kai and Mike would accept him, Sam would bug Tory at her job and Robby would tell Sam to stop but she wouldn’t so Robby would challenge her to a fight on the Okinawan sparring deck and their fight would be similar to Daniel and Johnny’s in cannon, Robby would beat Sam, Daniel and Johnny would still split and Sam would go with Johnny thinking the Miyagi Do style of karate is why she lost, Robby would find out that Sam left Miyagi Do for Eagle Fang so Robby would do the unthinkable and reach out to Sam and would tell her not to make the same mistake he’s making with his dad and that she and Daniel just forgive each other so Daniel and Sam would forgive each other, new students would join and Mike would secretly teach the recruits along with Robby, Tory, and Kenny a different way of karate instead of striking first and showing no mercy, he would do what Johnny did in season 2 and would teach them how to show mercy, slowly redeeming the character of Mike Barnes, Robby would one day find out that his biological mother sold him for drugs when he was a baby and the guys that sold Robby’s birth mother drugs would throw baby Robby in a garbage bin and that would be when Robby’s foster mother finds him and would adopt him, Robby would be heartbroken and would cry that he was nothing more than a mistake, Mike would comfort Robby, Robby and Tory would go to prom together but not to annoy Sam and Miguel, while Robby and Tory dance they would admit their love to each other, at the tournament Cobra Kai would still score higher in the skills competition, Robby would make it to the semis where he would have to fight Miguel, while fighting Miguel Robby would pull a Muscle, Miguel would forfeit from the match because he doesn’t want to fight an injured Robby, Robby and Eli would fight in the finals and their fight would be similar to Adonis Creed and Ricky Conlan’s fight from Creed 1, Robby would land a kick on Eli having him fall to the ground, the buzzer would stop, the judges come down to a decision with Eli winning the tournament 9-8, Eli wins the boys bracket but Robby wins the night once more, in the girls division Tory and Sam would fight and Sam would be aggressive, Robby and Mike would coach her and give her non-fighting dirty tips that work, Tory would eventually beat Sam without having Silver bribe the ref, Mike would then find out about the house fight from Daniel so he would tell all the students in front of Kreese and Silver about the house fight so Robby, Tory, Kenny, and the students that trained under Mike would leave with Mike, Mike would ask Daniel, Johnny and the other Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang students to meet them at Miyagi Do, Mike would ask for an alliance to take down Cobra Kai so Daniel, Johnny, and Mike would work together, season 4 would end the same with Silver betraying Kreese, Miguel running away to Mexico to find his father, and Daniel calling Chozen to help train the students. I know this story on how I would’ve done Robby was SO along and I apologize

Both are a great example of how deeply flawed good people can be. Sam is an example of why people should be honest. She should have been honest with both her parents about the accident and would not have been grounded, and she should have been honest with Daniel about Miguel which would have prevented him from being so jealous and having misunderstandings... Potentially Miguel could have met Robby, Daniel's student and employee, rather than Who TF is this guy leaning on my girlfriend who's been ignoring me all day...

I feel that. It looked bad but Robby literally said maybe we can work this out. I feel like in the heat of the moment Miguel didn’t hear him and just saw Robby with his hand on Tory and all Robby saw Miguel pushing him to the ground and the fact that Miguel kissed Sam while she was drunk. The only reason why I’m siding with Robby is because Sam was drunk and Miguel knew this but still kissed her which I kinda see as him taking advantage of her since she wasn’t sober and they were both in relationships so technically both were cheating.
I wonder if Robby and Miguel will learn from one another and possibly become friends. Kinda like how Daniel and Johnny started to but much better without a 30 year rivalry.
The show is all about recognizing that things aren't so black and white...There are shades of gray. But the failures of both their sense-is is not teaching them how to properly assess the situation.,
if season 5 ends with miguel and robby being friends then theyll need to introduce a new character(s) to be the villain as nobody is stopping miguel and robby -- maybe hawk but i think if robby got more reasonable then hawk would also be chill

uh Robby definitely, without question. Every interaction leading up to the school fight was instigated by Miguel. Robby did nothing to him, ever. And Miguel started a fight with Robby as he attempted to break up the girls fight over something MIGUEL and SAM did (cheated). During the fight, Miguel continued to hurl insults saying Sam loves him not Robby and rub in that Johnny has been spending more time with Miguel than he ever did with Robby. Then he decides he wants to be merciful and expects Robby to just calm down? No. Robby didn't mean for him to go over the railing but don't start all of that shit then decide you want to act like a good person in the midst of a heated fight YOU started. Not to mention in the first valley fight, Robby offers his injured arm that Miguels wonderful best friend Hawk tried to break since he was losing, and Miguel uses this as a chance to yank Robbys arm as HARD as he could to try to break it. And robby still bowed to him... And Miguel still continued to act like a prick. Whoever victimizes Miguel is living in a land of delusion. Him being paralyzed for the image he created of himself to Robby for 2 seasons is Miguels own doing.
@@01l219-m people are very biased towards Miguel and I say that as someone who loves him too. He and robby swap between my favorite character depending on season. It's just like everyone loves Johnny because he says some funny lines but they ignore that he abandoned his kid and spent his time drinking and crying in his living room over losing to Daniel decades ago. Not worrying about the fact that his kid was having to steal and pawn things to eat lol. They're always like "well Johnny tried and robby rejected him" he tried? When? When he saw robby with Daniel at lowes and says hey robby how are ya. He's done basically zero effort to be a genuine father. Even in season 4 , it shouldn't have been robby approaching and crying to Johnny. If anything, the other way around. Daniel is actually who helped Robby see how he was putting passion over principle, no thanks to his dad. Robby should've cried to Daniel. And I felt like hell for when Johnny called miguel robby but I think in that moment he felt so hurt that he realized how robby had felt all those years and saw a different version of johnny.

The true chance Robby gave Johnny when he needed him was to visit him in juvie and even then, he chose Miguel. Even in the trailer for season 5, we see that Johnny took Robby to mexico and did not tell him they were going to find Miguel, just took him along anyway knowing the tension between them. And also never bothering to hear Robby out on how Miguel had instigated all of that. You even see in the trailer that Miguel walks across the parking lot and pushes Robby and says "we will never be friends". Johnny needs to mature and fast. If I were a writer, I think everything in this show would've made for an ideal wasted story line of making Robby manipulated by Silver and turning against Johnny/daniel and everyone else. Silver almost being like a father figure to him and the next Mike Barnes. It was a wasted chance of what could've been a true turn to the dark side/redemption arc later on after Johnny actually wises up to be a dad.

Robby is definitely the victim not only from Miguel but from everyone else on the show. Everyone literally treats Robby as disposable instead of an actual human being. I like Miguel better but he became corny this previous season and a little chubby. While Robby I thought was a trash actor and had a terrible haircut, but he had changed in a good way.
Being a Robby fan I expected to see a bunch of Robby hate comments but I’m actually surprised to see people not hating on Robby. I personally can relate to Robby more, having divorced parents and a father who’s there but not really there for me, being brought up in a poor house hold and getting mixed up with the wrong crowd in the past. Not to say that I dislike Miguel, But people don’t look at Robby’s side of things. They just blindly hate on him. This show is about things not being black and white, I thought people would have learned by now.

Miguel started the fight, and pushed it. The first legit mistake Robby made, to Miguel, personally, was when he didn't tell anyone Miguel brought back the medal. Miguel then engaged in the fight with Robby in the school when Robby was trying to de-escalate the situation. Then Robby made a big mistake in his reaction to the fight.
Yes, they both made mistakes, but, like with Johnny, Miguel made it into a thing and ignited the fight.

I tend to think Robby’s more the victim than anyone else. Even in season 1 when Robby finds out Sam has a boyfriend, he backs off for another season until Sam and Miguel are broken up and she becomes interested. Then she just cheats on him with Miguel. Between Miguel, Sam, Tory, and Robby in the school fight, with Miguel and Sam being the ones in the affair and Tory starting the fight, Robby tries to stop it before being attacked and taunted by Miguel and he’s the only one sent to Juvie for letting his anger getting out of hand after Miguel shows mercy, which I think he had every right to do seeing as how that’s what Miguel did in season one when Robby showed mercy and tried to help Miguel up in the tournament. Plus Johnny barely ever tries to reconnect with him throughout the whole show and basically replaces him with Miguel. I was fine with this for the first few seasons because Johnny was just being a sensei to him but in season 4 he’s flat out trying to be Miguel’s dad and putting that before trying to repair his relationship with his own son. I just hope Robby catches a break in season 5.

The question “Who’s right” really refers to “Who is and isn’t in the wrong”. Both have their rights and wrongs, but overall in the “Who deserves Johnny” struggle, I think Robby is more deserving since he is actually his son. Circumstances falling into place to favor Miguel, however, pin Robby against them both. It’s not really Miguel’ fault, but it does nevertheless leave Robby in a rough spot. Not saying everything he does is excused. Obviously he shouldn’t have injured Miguel after he showed mercy, but when it comes to “Who’s the aggressor/victim”, I certainly wouldn’t say he’s the aggressor or in the wrong when going back and looking at the key points in the rivalry. Both are really great though, and I’m hoping they can just resolve their problems by end of season 5. I just think that Miguel could take a step back to make it easier for Johnny and his son’s relationship to mend itself.

Johnny and Robby have had bad blood between each other their whole lives while Miguel has gotten nothing but a good father figure. At it’s core, their conflict is a lot like sibling rivalry, which I think will be very prevalent in season 5. There was too much between the two kids in the first few seasons for Johnny to ever manage both. That being said, with Miguel on a search for fatherhood in Mexico and Johnny finally making things right with Robby, I think this next season will be able to finally clear the air, and Johnny will be able to fix his relationship with both his kids. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

This is one of the reasons why I love this show. It shows us both sides of the story.
Honestly Sam is the origin of both of these guys problems. If she told Miguel she was grounded, not only would he not have gotten drunk, but he wouldn't have tried to attack Robby. And that single act would have improved Robby and Miguel's relationship exponentially. Sure Miguel might not like Robby, and would get angry, but he wouldn't be influenced by alcohol into attacking a stranger he just met. I hate how Sam is portrayed as the goody goody girl when she's the one in the wrong, Miguel made it clear to her he felt like she was avoiding him.
And then Sam has beef with Tory over a misunderstanding, and proceeds to kiss Miguel, which he instantly regrets and walks away from, in perfect view of the party, and thus Tori. Tori and Sam had beef, but it was petty shit like tripping each other or calling the other names, but Sam makes a move on Miguel when she knows he has a new girlfriend. And Robby is just left in the dust, festering his resentment towards Miguel, especially after he won the All-Valley and all the stuff with his dad.
Robby and Miguel could have been wholesome rivals if Sam had sent the unfinished text her mom interrupted her from sending. On the brightside we get the Cobra Kai-Miyagi Do School Brawl, so fuck it.

One thing I always hated about Johnny is how he clearly favors Miguel over Robby, and yet we're expected to believe he cares for both equally.

It just makes their reconciliation scene at the end of S4 feel so unearned on Johnny's end.

Then there's Johnny's insistance on trying to be the perfect father/sensei to both and constantly making some easy avoidable mistakes. Once the air is finally allowed to clear between them they should be able to move on in a better direction.

Rewatching the original movies and 100% agree with this. He's timeless.
To me it's 50/50. They both are good people, but have a bit of a dark side. Teenagers go through an identity crises and all of that. Around season 5 Johnny may help both of them settle their differences.

No matter how much you like Miguel more or argue he’s a better kid/person you can’t deny that Miguel started the whole beef between him & Robby he tried to start a fight with him at the beach party cause he thought Robby & Sam were together. He also purposefully fought dirty against Robby by targeting his injured shoulder/arm during there match in the 1st All Valley. Also Robby was trying to stop the school fight but Miguel attacked him & Robby is labeled as the bad guy in the situation because he accidentally kicked Miguel off the ledge like we all know he didn’t mean to cripple him he just got angry & let his emotions get the better of him which was caused by Miguel talking shit while they was fighting abt how Johnny & Sam love/prefer him. It’s also proven to be true cause then in Season 3 Sam thinks Robby purposely kicked him off the ledge & gets back wit Miguel the second he recovers & Johnny chose to be there for Miguel during his surgery rather this his own blood son that’s in juvie & could really use some support that he’s also never been there for. In conclusion the Miguel bias in the fandom & by the writers themselves is way too crazy Robby is a better written character tbh & rn in Season 4 Eli/Hawk & Robby both would more than likely beat Miguel in a fight.

At 5:30, since Johnny truly does value Miguel as his son, he will absolutely not choose one over the other. He wants to have both. Especially after watching season 5, it was obvious. He did not choose one. Both are the most important young boys in his life.
It was also very obvious in season 4, that Miguel loves Johnny, and Johnny has nothing to repair with Miguel, but since he is so remorseful over Robby, it is why Johnny apologizes to him in his sleep, which did hurt Miguel, but Miguel is young and did not understand that yet.
Likewise, when Miguel asked, "Whose side are you on?" Johnny very sincerely uttered, "Your side Diaz. Always," as if Johnny felt like it was almost *obvious* that he loves Miguel as much as anyone.

I think they both had a point Robby felt replaced and Miguel felt like he had gain a father only to lose him later on. Robbie on the other hand while he saw Daniel as a mentor he would always want Johnny to be a better father to him which prevents him from seeing Daniel fully as a father figure. I actually hope they squash their beef by the end of the show unlike their mentors who had that beef turn them bitter and petty

They’ll probably have a similar arc to Daniel and Johnny in Season 3. I expect when Miguel meets up with Johnny and Robby, there’s gonna be a fight and Miguel and Robby will have to team up, but it’ll end with them both trading blows, similar to the chop shop fight in Season 3 Episode 2. I also see Miguel’s dad being connected to Terry Silver somehow because it’d be kinda lame for him to go to Mexico, meet his dad, and his dad never return. It’s unknown what side Robby is on, and if he’s still a Cobra Kai member, but he is still close to Kenny and wants him to go on the right path in life. If he knows Miguel’s father and what he’s like, and if he’s connected to Terry Silver at all, he’ll have to put aside his differences with everyone to help Kenny out.
I’m probably rambling and there’s something else, but I can see Robby and Miguel going through the same arch that Daniel and Johnny did in Season 3.
Robby actually tried to stop the fight twice in the season 2 finale and Miguel attacked him twice, Miguel can’t just say a little “I’m sorry” then expect Robby to calm down. “You like that move I learned it from your dad”. “She doesn’t love you she loves me” (referring to Sam when he was with Tory). Miguel was at fault.
Yeah ur right he deserved to get kicked off a railing and nearly fall to his death. Yeah they were both present for the fight but one of them chose to "show mercy" or u know not be a psychopath and take it down a notch while the other one literally kicked someone off the stairs and NEVER apologized

I think Robby could’ve been better in season 1 if he was adopted at a young age than adopted by a single mother and never met his parents than gets a job at Larusso auto as a new experience for him, than sees some guys trying to steal a car than fights them off and wins with Daniel watching seeing something in Robby decides to teach him karate, bonding with Daniel, Robby then finding out about Sam hitting Johnny’s car so Robby would convince Sam to tell her parents she hit Johnny’s car and Sam would agree, I wouldn’t have Robby go to the party with Sam but instead I’d have Sam go by herself, Robby would see Daniel and Johnny together and Robby would be confused on who Johnny was so Johnny would tell Robby he’s his father, Robby would be shocked and confused, Daniel wouldn’t be upset at Robby but would comfort him on the realization, at the tournament I’d still have Robby compete but wouldn’t be focused while looking at Johnny but Daniel would help Robby focus, I’d have Miguel and Hawk fight in the semis and I’d have Miguel beat Hawk badly, Sam would break up with Miguel and Miguel would be angry, Robby and Miguel would fight in the finals and Robby and Miguel’s fight would last longer with one of them having to get 10 points to win, Robby would fight honorably while Miguel would fight dirty and Robby would get final kick on Miguel than the buzzer goes off with the decision of Miguel being the winner with a score of 8-7, Miguel would win the tournament but Robby would win the night, Daniel would still reopen Miyagi Do.
Season 2 would start off similar Robby and Johnny would talk at that store, Robby wouldn’t be ready to reconcile with Johnny just yet, 3 episodes later Robby would decide to give Johnny a chance and they would bond and Johnny would ask Robby if he’d want to learn some lessons from Johnny, Robby would say sure so Robby would learn some offense from Johnny in secret along with Tory since she joins in episode 4, Robby would become a stronger fighter, Robby and Tory would bond and Robby would teach Tory some defensive moves, Robby would surprise the Miyagi Dos with his new skills, Daniel would wonder where Robby learned those moves from, Robby would still continue to bond with Johnny and learn more offense from him, Sam would go talk to Robby than would kiss him surprising Robby, I’d still have Miguel and Tory get together but with Miguel surprising Tory by kissing her, at Moon’s party Robby and Tory would be talking to each other, Robby and Tory would tell each other that they aren’t sure if their feelings for Miguel and Sam were true, than they would see they have a lot more in common than they with Miguel and Sam and Robby and Tory would kiss but not by accident but because they deep down knew they were meant to be together and wouldn’t care what Miguel and Sam think about them, Sam would see Robby and Tory kiss and would be upset about it, at school Sam would tell Miguel about Robby and Tory kissing and this would enrage Miguel so he would go looking for Robby in the hallways and would find him and would punch him and they would start fighting, Tory would try to defend Robby from Miguel then Sam comes in and tackles Tory in rage for kissing Robby, the school fight would still start, Sam would use what she learned from Daniel to fight Tory off but would be surprised that Tory knew Miyagi Do defense, Robby and Miguel would still fight on the second floor and Miguel would use what he learned from Johnny to fight Robby off but would be surprised that Robby knows Cobra Kai offense, Tory would be beating Sam in the fight and would have Sam on the ground but Sam would kick Tory off of her and Tory would fall down the stairs but would see that she accidentally put Tory in a coma, Robby and Miguel would continue fighting on the second floor and Robby would use both Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai on Miguel and would have Miguel in a position where he’s about to break his arm but shows mercy, Miguel would remember a lesson he learned from Kreese and would attack Robby and would accidentally kick him off the balcony, Robby would be put in a coma along with Tory so both Robby and Tory would be taken to the hospital while Sam goes to a girls juvie while Miguel goes to a boys juvie, Robby’s foster mother would show up heartbroken, Tory’s mother would go to the hospital to see Tory heartbroken as well, season 2 would still end the same with Daniel shutting down Miyagi Do, Kreese would still kick Johnny out of Cobra Kai, but this time I would bring back Terry Silver.
In season 3 Daniel wouldn’t be the only one being shitted on for what happened at the school but Johnny would as well, Robby and Tory would eventually wake up, Robby would be angry at Daniel for teaching him to show mercy and would blame him for being out in the hospital, Silver would help Robby walk again but would help him walk again so he can use him to be Cobra Kais version of the Winter Soldier, Tory would help Robby walk again, Tory’s relationship with Robby would improve, Sam and Miguel would get out and would return home and would go back to West Valley High, Miguel would still join Eagle Fang while Sam heads back to Miyagi Do, Robby would still join Cobra Kai, the house fight would still happen but Robby and Tory wouldn’t show up because Silver doesn’t want them to know about the house fight because they would leave if they find out, Hawk would still redeem himself, Johnny would go fight Kreese but would see Robby there and would be angry and would try to fight Kreese but Robby would pull him away from Kreese and would try to fight him but Johnny would accidentally slam Robby’s head against the locker then Tory would try to fight Johnny but he would beat her, Daniel would show up and he would fight Silver and would be couscous of Silver’s attacks and Daniel would beat him, Silver would propose tournament with Robby and Tory being him and Kreese’s top dogs, Silver would call Barnes to help them out, season 3 would still end the same with Johnny and Daniel teaming up, the only thing I would change is Hawk getting rid of the Mohawk because he thinks it’s the Mohawk that turned him into an asshole.
In season 4 Silver would go to talk with Mike and Mike wouldn’t be interested in coming back then Silver would persuade Mike to come back so Mike would return to Cobra Kai, Mike and Robby would have a bond the same as Miguel and Johnny’s, Robby would see Mike as a true father to him, Kenny would join Cobra Kai and Mike would accept him, Sam would bug Tory at her job and Robby would tell Sam to stop but she wouldn’t so Robby would challenge her to a fight on the Okinawan sparring deck and their fight would be similar to Daniel and Johnny’s in cannon, Robby would beat Sam, Daniel and Johnny would still split and Sam would go with Johnny thinking the Miyagi Do style of karate is why she lost, Robby would find out that Sam left Miyagi Do for Eagle Fang so Robby would do the unthinkable and reach out to Sam and would tell her not to make the same mistake he’s making with his dad and that she and Daniel just forgive each other so Daniel and Sam would forgive each other, new students would join and Mike would secretly teach the recruits along with Robby, Tory, and Kenny a different way of karate instead of striking first and showing no mercy, he would do what Johnny did in season 2 and would teach them how to show mercy, slowly redeeming the character of Mike Barnes, Robby would one day find out that his biological mother sold him for drugs when he was a baby and the guys that sold Robby’s birth mother drugs would throw baby Robby in a garbage bin and that would be when Robby’s foster mother finds him and would adopt him, Robby would be heartbroken and would cry that he was nothing more than a mistake, Mike would comfort Robby, Robby and Tory would go to prom together but not to annoy Sam and Miguel, while Robby and Tory dance they would admit their love to each other, at the tournament Cobra Kai would still score higher in the skills competition, Robby would make it to the semis where he would have to fight Miguel, while fighting Miguel Robby would pull a Muscle, Miguel would forfeit from the match because he doesn’t want to fight an injured Robby, Robby and Eli would fight in the finals and their fight would be similar to Adonis Creed and Ricky Conlan’s fight from Creed 1, Robby would land a kick on Eli having him fall to the ground, the buzzer would stop, the judges come down to a decision with Eli winning the tournament 9-8, Eli wins the boys bracket but Robby wins the night once more, in the girls division Tory and Sam would fight and Sam would be aggressive, Robby and Mike would coach her and give her non-fighting dirty tips that work, Tory would eventually beat Sam without having Silver bribe the ref, Mike would then find out about the house fight from Daniel so he would tell all the students in front of Kreese and Silver about the house fight so Robby, Tory, Kenny, and the students that trained under Mike would leave with Mike, Mike would ask Daniel, Johnny and the other Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang students to meet them at Miyagi Do, Mike would ask for an alliance to take down Cobra Kai so Daniel, Johnny, and Mike would work together, season 4 would end the same with Silver betraying Kreese, Miguel running away to Mexico to find his father, and Daniel calling Chozen to help train the students.

I feel that. It looked bad but Robby literally said maybe we can work this out. I feel like in the heat of the moment Miguel didn’t hear him and just saw Robby with his hand on Tory and all Robby saw Miguel pushing him to the ground and the fact that Miguel kissed Sam while she was drunk. The only reason why I’m siding with Robby is because Sam was drunk and Miguel knew this but still kissed her which I kinda see as him taking advantage of her since she wasn’t sober and they were both in relationships so technically both were cheating.

uh Robby definitely, without question. Every interaction leading up to the school fight was instigated by Miguel. Robby did nothing to him, ever. And Miguel started a fight with Robby as he attempted to break up the girls fight over something MIGUEL and SAM did (cheated). During the fight, Miguel continued to hurl insults saying Sam loves him not Robby and rub in that Johnny has been spending more time with Miguel than he ever did with Robby. Then he decides he wants to be merciful and expects Robby to just calm down? No. Robby didn't mean for him to go over the railing but don't start all of that shit then decide you want to act like a good person in the midst of a heated fight YOU started. Not to mention in the first valley fight, Robby offers his injured arm that Miguels wonderful best friend Hawk tried to break since he was losing, and Miguel uses this as a chance to yank Robbys arm as HARD as he could to try to break it. And robby still bowed to him... And Miguel still continued to act like a prick.
Whoever victimizes Miguel is living in a land of delusion. Him being paralyzed for the image he created of himself to Robby for 2 seasons is Miguels own doing.

@@01l219-m people are very biased towards Miguel and I say that as someone who loves him too. He and robby swap between my favorite character depending on season. It's just like everyone loves Johnny because he says some funny lines but they ignore that he abandoned his kid and spent his time drinking and crying in his living room over losing to Daniel decades ago. Not worrying about the fact that his kid was having to steal and pawn things to eat lol. They're always like "well Johnny tried and robby rejected him" he tried? When? When he saw robby with Daniel at lowes and says hey robby how are ya. He's done basically zero effort to be a genuine father. Even in season 4 , it shouldn't have been robby approaching and crying to Johnny. If anything, the other way around. Daniel is actually who helped Robby see how he was putting passion over principle, no thanks to his dad. Robby should've cried to Daniel. Johnny isn't deserving of a mended relationship at this point. And I felt like hell for when Johnny called miguel robby but I think in that moment he felt so hurt that he realized how robby had felt all those years and saw a different version of johnny.

@@manuelzuijdendorp4523 Right, Daniel gave him more life advice than Johnny. I dont think Johnny has any advice to give because he's done nothing with his life. And you're right. The true chance Robby gave Johnny when he needed him was to visit him in juvie and even then, he chose Miguel. Even in the trailer for season 5, we see that Johnny took Robby to mexico and did not tell him they were going to find Miguel, just took him along anyway knowing the tension between them. And also never bothering to hear Robby out on how Miguel had instigated all of that. You even see in the trailer that Miguel walks across the parking lot and pushes Robby and says "we will never be friends". Johnny needs to mature and fast. If I were a writer, I think everything in this show would've made for an ideal wasted story line of making Robby manipulated by Silver and turning against Johnny/daniel and everyone else. Silver almost being like a father figure to him and the next Mike Barnes. It was a wasted chance of what could've been a true turn to the dark side/redemption arc later on after Johnny actually wises up to be a dad.

Being a Robby fan I expected to see a bunch of Robby hate comments but I’m actually surprised to see people not hating on Robby.
