Great bike I have rode one couple of times and agree it does everything well and is a pleasure to ride. I have also ridden the gs1250 but the 750 is easy relaxed and fun to ride.

Nice Video Rob I Agree the GS In any guise is a good all rounder. I Love my 1200 and being 6Ft 2 the size is no problem

It's a good platform BMW did a good job with the middleweights. From everything I've heard it's a nice upgrade from my 800gs. Glad you found something you are comfortable on and with it. Sometimes the bike we think we want just isn't for us.

Expensive solution but I had them put the 850 windscreen on my 750 - adjustable on the fly - looks good too (imo..)

Glad to hear about your experiences with the Africa Twin. The very same thing happened to me. Loved the bike but it was just too tall and worst of all TOP HEAVY. After dropping it in my driveway I sold it. I'm 5'8'' as well.

I dropped my Africa Twin (with my wife riding pillion) at 0 MPH. I stopped on uneven pavement that sloped down on my right side, and I couldn't touch ground causing me to tumble. Wife hopped off, no injuries. I still have a sore knee and hip. Bike got $1200 of cosmetic damage. As soon as I got my bike back I traded it in for the 2023 F750GS. Much better geometry and height for me, and for when my wife rides pillion.

I have a Tiger 660 and love the Air hawk on it! I'm Renting a 750GS in September to tour northern Italy. Looking forward to trying one out.

The airhawk is a great bit of kit I hope it smooths the road, ride safe and enjoy your tour.

@@westonriders6799 I'll definitely take the Air Hawk along. It should add some comfort and a little height to the standard 750 seat. I'm 6' and think the standard 750GS seat height will be a little short for extended rides. I'll be riding some long stretches each day. Could have rented a taller heavier bike but not a fan of them. Love my Tiger 660. Perfect weight to power ratio. She's mod'd to increase performance. ✌

@@MrApplebumPS cool I used to have a tiger 800 great bike, but when i used her for touring especially in windy conditions she seemed to get blown all over the road but in all still a great bike.

Really good review ive been looking at Africa Twin and feel same a bit top heavy, im also now looking at the GS either 750 or 850, im trading in my KTM 790 has been a great bike, but im getting a bit old for tearing around and just want to bimble around, loved the speed of the KTM, ill let it go to a younger rider with sharper reaction times 😂

So far the 750 which has the same engine as the 850 just tuned differently has done ✔️ everything I've asked of her. Good luck with your new bike choice and ride safe buddy 👍

I love the 750 just got my second one a few months ago after about a five month wait for it to be built. I’ve had several 1200/1250’s since 2011 but am happier with the 750. Performance wise it doesn’t really feel that different on the road to the bigger bikes and surprisingly if you look at the performance figures it is only about 0.6 seconds slower to 60 than the 1250. I had the first one for nearly three years however the latest model seems a bit smoother, gear changes are better and you can ride it in all modes found my first only really went well in dynamic tended to struggle at slow speeds or moving away in rain or road especially with a pillion. Been all over including two up to Spain about a 3000 mile trip and performed well.

Shes a great bike, that's sniffed at by 1200 and 1250 owners but your riding with them they soon realise how capable the bike is

Interesting and appropriate review. I had a Gs1200 for 7 year abd did 110,000K on it. Two up across North America coast to coast. The bike went everywhere, did everything. But The height, the bulk and the top heaviness never disappeared. I had an Rt for 3 months until it self destroyed on a dear at 100KM. ^ years later I'm returning knowing what I want, smaller less tall, less top heavy. The 750 Gs is it for me at almost 70.I never used more than 70 % of the big GS or the RT. This has all the bells and comfort. I can't wait to get back riding. and if a dear or anything else lays me down...Inch Allah!

I've had mine for a couple of months now. Absolutely love it. I've still kept my beloved CB500X though which is another great do it all bike. The GS does everything I want, and being only 5'9, as I can flat foot it, I'll be keeping it and not going any bigger. I've tried the 1250 and it's great but just too heavy to move around and I was on tip toes and balls of my feet at junctions and it would only be a matter of time before I got caught out on a camber and dropped it. It's just not worth the constant worry and then the weeks of expense and hassle when you snap or scuff things on it.
I intend using it through the winter except when it's icy so the different modes and traction control will be handy.
I invested in a low Sargents seat but not really put it to the test yet so I'll let you know.
I'm just over the water from you in Abergavenny so I'll look out for you next year when I come down on it for a day out! Love that road from Weston to Portishead but never ridden a motorbike on it (only cycled!). Lovely part of the world.
Great video and safe riding! 👍

Thanks for the comment. I agree she's a great bike. The lower Portishead road is a great little road just be careful as the police headquarters is also there lol. If you have a look at our Hardknott Pass vid you can see me find out the hard way that my legs aren't long enough lol.

Have the same, 2021 TE with cruise control and ESA suspension, done over 6,000 miles as well, invested heavily in my bike as well, your set-up sounds similar to mine with a few differences, put spoked wheels on mine and off-road mine a fair bit, dropped a lot and no damage with the crash bars and bark busters, check out my 6,000 miles review if you want.
