Xiaomi 13T Pro Hands-On: Leica Telemacro Lens!

- The Xiaomi 13T Pro is the first T phones to get Leica optics and IP68 water and dust resistance, but the thing that impresses me most is the new 50MP telephoto lens that can double as a macro shooter. There's also a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip inside and a battery that can be charged at 120W with the included charger. The phone’s price starts at 799 euro in Europe.

Ip68 rating , 4 years os updates, telephoto camera, leica imaging 120wt charging.. Xiaomi nailed it this year..!!!
ULTRA WIDE ONLY 30FPS 4K !! JUST FOR LAUGHTS
no terrible camera
I love how you demonstrated macro photo so well, that's not seen very often in reviews of this phone.
Thank you
@@bensgadgetreviews Somehow I can't get the telemacro to work on my 13T pro. There's no way I can get this close to the subject as you did in the video 🥺 Are there any hidden settings that I need to switch on?
50MP Macro is absolutely awesome!
Is it can compare in 11t pro
The most sensible camera in years
Absolutely agree. I'm stealing this for my title when I'll be testing this Xiaomi 13t pro 😊
HUAWEI MATE 60 PRO AND OLDER HUAWEI Have Telemacro it's nothing new.
Exactly 😏
Xiaomi has done it
ULTRA WIDE ONLY 30FPS 4K !! JUST FOR LAUGHTS
Wow the event just wrapped up! Awesome to see your video so soon!
In the UK £649 for 12)256 with a free mi pad 6 6/128 and another £30 discount not sure everyone will get that. At that price with 2 years interest free is a great deal.
Good to see they are doing the 4/5 year updates as well.
Best Xiaomi deal for a long time.
My favourite channel is here Awesome hands on video as always Ben's brother
Ben reviews are always before big youtubers and are quite informative for a normal person.
Thank you!
the bokey is very smooth ! impressive ! cant wait to have it.
thanks for the video.
There you are fast as always, I always like your hands-on review
Thanks ben caint wait for full camera review of this phone looking good
yea i got one. its pretty slick and the cameras are amazing. one feature that tipped it for me is IP68 waterproofing, although you can't operate the face underwater. it flips out and starts opening everything. you can drop it in a pool, just not operate it underwater. fast and great processor, and mine has 1TB ram, but i bought it for the cameras.
I have the Xiaomi 13 pro. Photos are just awesome, specially the zoom lens macro shots.
One of the best made phones ever, did you get the ceramic white one or another color?
@@soheiladam7510 I got the black colour.
Did the Xiaomi 13 Pro use that liquid lens tech from their first gen Mix Fold?
Awesome video also waiting for your video on Redmi 13 series :D
Uso ainda o Xiaomi 9T Pro, nunca tive um único problema, bateria dura o dia todo com tudo ativo , ecrã total pois a câmara selfie sobe, adoro
Me too but that was €420 when it came out , this one is over €1000 😅
My HUAWEI Psmart from 2017 budget phone never had a problem to 2021 but now is HUAWEI P50 PRO MY Main but still my p smart never had a problem i just want newer HUAWEI(^~^)
Me too unfortunately the charging stopped working and there is no repair shop in my country.
I tried to repair myself but did not work. 😢
Woo, fast! Time to watch your video!
Great videop Ben, by now with the volume of product cycles that have 'Leica' attatched to them, I think its safe to say that Its a colour grading itself that is not trying to emulate true colour. That there could be and issue in comparisons thats overlooked.
Very good review , thanks you very much 👍🏻💚♥️
The Leica Lens are just outstanding in this phone that delivers great photos and in the case of performance also, the mediatek chipset is the savior
Hello I'm watching your video from Malaysia 🇲🇾😊 wow Xiaomi 13t and Xiaomi 13t Pro 👍🏻
Awesome review boss
Very impressed with the camera.
Still using my Mi 10 Pro since May 2020 and hoping to replace by June 2024.
Triple camera setup at this price is pretty rare. Especially since the last time it was so it was the Honor 20 Pro from 2019 (I think). Still this is the best T series to date. Definitely a great option especially that telephoto macro lens. I'm a fan of that 😂.
Great looking phone and it produces some good shots too. Funny I just got my sharge icemag last week and I love it! Been wanting to take some photos of it and upload on my instagram because I’ve barely seen any photos or coverage on it!
still rocking the legendary k20 pro 💪
I really like the phone you have there Ben
Hallo, welcome in my Hometown ! Nice Days and sunny Weather.
I got the poco f5 bought it before this launch man f5 super duper smooth never thought miui is getting better .. never the less i will get this 13t pro asap the camera is awesome !
Use the 13T Pro for cameras, F5 for gaming
awesome man i gotta use 1 device only since im not heavy user but f5 rock !

649£ in the Uk. This price can't be beaten.
Looks like that phone is under clocked because the dimensity 9200+ scores 2000+/5500+ in geek bench in single/multi core tests, it even outperforms the snapdragon 8gen2 in most benchmark tests
Thank you for the review.
Which phone do you prefer the Xiaomi 13T pro or the Xiaomi 13? and whice camera is better?
Been a while since company focuses more on telephoto than ultra-wide. I remember back in the days when LG is the only one doing ultra-wide while everyone goes telephoto. Then everyone hops on with ultra-wide and telephoto, ultra-wide and periscope, and it became ultra-wide and wide. Can't we have all 3 that excels? I mean, not in the 13T series, but even in premium flagship - it has been 2 out of 3. Oh, and selfie, alright, have all 4! or 5 with macro. Okay, sorry for side-tracking.
It's physical limitation, have you seen how huge ultra wide lenses are compared to 24/35/50/85mm lens? Manufacturer get by with use of periscope to reduce lens size, but it is hard on ultra wide.
@@hkchew03 comparing ultrawide and periscope lens, I thought periscope occupies more space. It is indeed shorter than an actual camera lens, however.
@@Kyinre_ periscope may occupies more space but not thickness. Using conventional lens system, a tele lens will be make the phone extremely thick if you paired it with a relatively large sensor and aperture.
@@hkchew03 ah, you referring to thickness in terms of space, then that's true for that. Thus all the camera humps.
Dimensity and MIUI killed it for me
Does the in app 2x zoom actually triggers the zoom lens, or just use a crop of the main sensor. Another tester noted 2x was still using primary
The 120 watt fast charging is just ridiculous. I tested mine with benchmark for draining the battery until the phone shut off. The phone was 42 Celsius at the back. Plugged in the charger with the extra-extra fast setting enabled in the phone. 23 min later I had 100% and checking the back of the phone it never got over 43 Celsius. After a couple of minutes not charging it was cold again. I don't know how the heat dissipates but it works.
Over all I'm really happy with this phone and updates until Android 18 was also a reason for me spending the extra money for the phone. $790 for the 12 ram/512 Gb version here in Sweden.
The telephoto 2x macro camera is a must-have for any phone but I that macro can't be integrated into longer distance telephoto camera such as a 5x. So it's necessary to have both telephoto 2x macro and 5x telephoto lens to make up for each other deficiencies. A two in one is not possible. 😎💯😎💪🏾👍🏾
the back cover..... 😍😍😍
This is Awesome!
I love ur content.❤
Does it have a build in call recording and dual video recording features?
Hi Ben, would you recommend this over the Vivo X90 pro plus in terms of photo quality?
Can you make a video about the Honor V Purse? It looks so cool
I’ve to say that the mediatek is underrated, can run Genshin pretty well
Very interesting phone! Clearly the weak points are still the same... front facing camera 1080p recording and Ultra Wide lens under par.
Could you zoom between the lenses in video. The Xiaomi 13 couldnt change to ultraiwde or tele while recording video. You have to pick a lens before recording.
Where did you get the cross body phone holder?
Love the shirt bro
Hope you could review the Redmi note 13 pro+! Thanks Ben!
i just bought 13T pro yesterday..the main reason why i choose 13t pro not 13T because of video recording capability and 120 charging speed
Are these the only difference?
Hey Ben-San 😉!
On your honest opinion, witch you think a better buy? This 13T Pro or Honor Magic 5 Pro?
Considering photos, videos and battery a bit of a priority?
Best regards 😉
I don't think that's the dimensity 9200+(From the geekbench score) or is it under clocked?
Did you find the plastic frame an issue?
How good is the bass quality on stereo speakers?
Scusa, nella comparazione foto tra Xiaomi e iPhone, le foto del 13T Pro erano in Leica Vibrant o Leica Autentic? Grazie!
hi! what proximity sensor does it have?
Hi. Can you do a comparation in terms of zoom quality of 13t pro vs s23/s23+ and xiaomi 13/13 pro? Or even vs Xiaomi MI 10T Pro. I want to upgrade my MI 10T Pro for a better zoom quality around 6-800€ phone but I'm not sure if there really is a difference on zoom quality.
Asking that because as I succeded to test in shops with "tester" phone, I couldn't notice a difference at least in that conditions.
Appreciate, thanks!
Please kindly review the honor v purse.
I feel that the price is too high for the processor it packs
What is that sling holster? Haha. I have seen many sling cases in asia.
Anyway looks like a very decent phone. Was looking for the ultrawide camera. Didn’t notice it was below the flash. But I believe those 50mm product shots most phones can do it, especially iPhone or Samsung or Oppo, their 2x on their main camera should do the same. Very close up, like say 12cm or 5”, maybe not. Try it.
Please tell me your opinion. which phone is better option Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13t pro. With an accent on the camera.
I guess might go for this one.
For me macro is important.
How close (cm) can you get to the object?
Its a shiddy there is no wireless charging.
What about with optical camera stabilisation?

It’s not even a comparison. 13T pro offers amazing specs at such a great price point and TH-camrs still complain. I am so sick of them.
First to see the goodness of those phone - watching on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra lol
I want to buy a new phone, the most important thing for me is camera, so I have some doubts, is xiaomi 13 better, or xiaomi 13t pro, when we talk about camera?
I will be very gratefull for your answer.
Awesome
Those geekbench results looks like from 13 T, not 13 T Pro
Hanging out with TK Bay
Is this better than the oppo reno 10 pro plus?
Hi Ben, sorry to bother but would you be able to make a quick video comparison for the 12T vs 13T and 12T Pro vs 13T Pro camera (still photo) comparison? Doenst need any commentary, just still photos side by side. Thanks
13t is way better
Please do a iPhone 15 vs xiaomi 13 ultra camera comparison 🙏🏻
Great mobels
Hey Ben, between the One Plus 11 and the 13T Pro, One Plus 11 is about $100 more expensive in my country. Which one is a better value? I know that the 8 Gen 2 is a lot more powerful than the 9200, but I'm interested in other factors too.
OnePlus wins in chip and software but xiaomi cameras. I’d go with 13t pro
@@bensgadgetreviewsthanks a lot. It's great to see the Xiaomi T series step up that much this year. Hope they sell that vegan leather version in my country too, it looks very attractive.
@@bensgadgetreviewsoh, sorry, my mistake. The cheaper one is 13T only (dimensity 8200), while the 13T Pro is about 100$ more expensive than One plus 11
Love from India 🇮🇳
Please talk about the telephoto xiaomi 13 series compare to redmi 13 series 🙏
The 13T Pro cost me $588.32 USD on 12/2023 in Hong Kong MI-store. Standard price , came with 2x freebies (wireless earphones & charge case, steel coffee mug) non discounted price...
Otherwise if you want the 13T for $422.06 USD instead then it will actually have slightly longer battery life but 30fps (Pro has 60 fps) 4k video recording, 67Watt charging (still very fast) instead of 120W on the Pro.
The prices, specs, 5 years updates and camera tech are flagship killer for 2023/24 for sure.
But 13T still does 60Fps FullHD right?
@@danielsmid3777 Yes that's right.
Please Ben fix de Audio channels when you edit the footage from the dji mic, the left channel is way louder than the right side and when you put the footage from the phones the audio is fine.
I noticed that too, I hope he sees this comment
Sorry
This one or Oppo find X6 for photos?
1:23 Are you sure that's really taken by the tele lens? Looks like digitally cropped from the main sensor. You can try to cover the tele lens when you shoot it this close.
I just went to a Xiaomi store to test out. It's really digital cropping from the main sensor. But the good thing is the main sensor has a very close focus distance compared to the IMX989. The macro shot is very capable.
Your background picture on the phone is a beach in Croatia
The best phone camera , processing-wise beating iphone, google and samaung ... judging by the samples available online.
Love the video.
But the balance in the voice is a bit off.
Left side is louder.
Sorry I’ll look into it
BEN... Should I Change from Xiaomi 12T PRO? 💥💥😁😁
Wait what? The Malaysian pricing is $512 for the base 256GB model.
Just bought 13 ultra.. if you go , go big... Thanks for the timely review.
🎉👏 wise choice a beast of a phone.
The base version (12+256) sell around ~$500 in my country. Probably the best flagship killer atm!
Hi,
Where are you from please ? You said $500 in your country ... Where is your country ?
Thanks bro
Here in south east asia, is around that pricing.
Compare it with mi 13 pro, I would love to see your comparison
day and night difference, 13T uses Sony IMX 707 sensor, 13 Pro Sony IMX 989 sensor.
Price in US$ ???
compare xiaomi 13 ultra vs iphone 15 pro max camera next video
Wowww
Feature wise it feels like a great flagship device. But look like a mid range device.
1289 /3000 is very low for dimensity 9200+ please check again
Thank you. Unfortunately, no wireless charging is a no-go for me in 2023.
Also, they totally prevent their loyal userbase from staying with them if they have for example a Xiaomi 12 with 50W Wireless and want to switch, they'll not be going back to a phone without wireless charging.
Brother, buy Xiaomi 13 pro with no laters 🤷 you get charger for free and it goes 0 to 100% in 20 min. You are overreacting 😅
I have the 13T Pro and I don't miss wireless charging at all as I never use it in the first place. Why do you need wireless charging when you have 120W super fast charging? Zero to 100% in 19 minutes! :)
Bro... u r brilliant not like other US tubers who alwys waits for apple to intrduce & lay down for apple as it's like God gift(suck-U) guys..... but u do golbal job 👍
We cant be Sealy and ask for a better device for the price and specs
Nice europe charger
Best T series simce the 10T Pro.
₹66,000 for the base model in India ❤
