This is true, unfortunately. It may have to do with international treaties and compliance, so it may very well be out of both our hands and the broker's hands.

I would look at different Crypto exchanges such as Binance, Kraken, Bitfinex (if you ONLY want to invest in crypto). Or BlockFi if you're interested in earning interest on your Crypto (there should be a referral link for BlockFi in the description if you're interested).

I first would say check the broker websites and browse which nationalities they accept and go with whichever accepts an Aruban passport (unless you have a Dutch passport then you probably have a lot more options). If all of them accept your particular citizenship, I'd recommend you check out Charles Schwab or TD Ameritrade first.

I'm actually not sure either, it seems like US brokers don't quite use that terminology. To my understanding the legal ownership question is fairly complicated. For a lot of purposes the shares act like they're owned by the brokers in most cases, however in the case the brokerage went bankrupt, the shares themselves belong to you, not just the corresponding value of the shares.

There's still certain scenarios where any broker (not just Firstrade) would own a certain portion of the things in your account such as fractional shares issues from dividends (if you're automatically reinvesting dividends). Most newbies usually undermine and neglect the importance of technical analysis with regards to trading. Technical analysis overly predicts the movement of assets prices regardless of what is happening in the wider or broader market. Doing technical analysis can be quite different which is why most newbies / traders neglect day trading their stocks/ coins and stick to holding which is very dangerous as when the market goes bearish, advise any newbies / traders to buy the dip for traders who are still wondering to enter the market or old time traders who are holders to seek help from not just any trader but an established trading expert with at least 96% trade accuracy .I underwent series of trading loses l'd best not talk about before I was introduced to trading analyst....

Hi Paulie, I took a while to look it up and I haven't found any unfortunately, if you happen to have a Social Security Number or a Visa that is non visitor (an F-1 Student visa, or H1-B, for example) you would be able to make an account with some of these in the list, however if you have none of those it seems Ecuadorians don't have that many options other than local brokers. If I find any brokers that do accept Ecuadorians I'll let you know.

Hi there, to my knowledge most brokers don't let you fund through a credit or debit card, but rather through check, ACH, or wire. I'd contact TDAmeritrade's support and see how they can help you with your situation.

There's a couple that come to mind for technical analysis. TradingView, freestockcharts, ThinkOrSwim, any of those should have the required functionality.
I will strongly advice you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need some one with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market buisness, and I will strongly recommend expert Mrs Tessy
I believe you can do it without an SSN if you have the proper documentation (and if your country is eligible). You can also try to get an ITIN, as they accept people with an ITIN in lieu of an SSN.
As a Firstrade user I can tell you you can't buy fractional shares, the only way I've gotten fractional shares is if I automatically reinvest the dividends that are provided to me.

From what I've seen, it will depend on your visa and whether you have immigrant or nonimmigrant status. Most if not all brokers will accept greencards, many will accept nonimmigrant visas, but that's when It's important to look at their terms and conditions to make sure they accept your particular visa type.
I believe certain EU citizens as well as certain Asian countries can open an account with them. I'd contact their support if you want info on one specific nationality.

Jeremy, I feel like most of these brokers would be an excellent choice as long as they have no commissions for trading, in other words, WeBull, Charles Schwab, Firstrade, or TDAmeritrade (which is merging with Schwab) would be fantastic choices.

I highly doubt that is possible, since I doubt there's a broker that has the capacity to do that (though it could be worth calling your current broker to ask), the best option could possibly be to sell the shares and re-buy them with an American account.

You should definitely be able to create a brokerage account (I know DACA recipients who have accounts with WeBull and Schwab) and buy the stocks in that sector that are offered by said broker.

What can I do if I’m underage, live in the US and my parents don’t have a SSN?
I'm not an expert on this, but see if you can apply for an ITIN of your own (or if your parents can), I know brokers take that as an alternative.
I tried First Trade and it asked about my SSN which I don’t have 😭 I live in the US but not a citizen

I haven't tried wiring to Firstrade, as I use ACH, but I believe the fee is for every single time you wire money into it.

I feel like most of these brokers would be an excellent choice as long as they have no commissions for trading, in other words, WeBull, Charles Schwab, Firstrade, or TDAmeritrade (which is merging with Schwab) would be fantastic choices.

It does per the last time I researched it! But you must have a US address and be from a certain list of approved countries.

I highly doubt that is possible, since I doubt there's a broker that has the capacity to do that (though it could be worth calling your current broker to ask), the best option could possibly be to sell the shares and re-buy them with an American account.

What about Daca recipients on Robinhood and Webull?
As far as I've researched, DACA recipients should be able to use Robinhood and WeBull without any issue.

I am not a U.S citizen but I do have a an ITUN # and I've been paying taxes for the past 5 years, up to 5k yearly. Is there a broker that I can use specifically or that you might recommend aside from the ones you've mentioned previously? Thanks!
I'd research brokers you're interested in and ask support if it would be possible to open an account with an ITIN, I believe a good amount of US brokers would allow you to open an account.

You should definitely be able to create a brokerage account (I know DACA recipients who have accounts with WeBull and Schwab) and buy the stocks in that sector that are offered by said broker.
