sir macdonwald from norway was there enemy right in this scene? and in act 1 scene 1 why the first witch said 'I come graymalkin" what does she meant by I come grey cat? also What is the meaning of the sentence "Hover through the fog and filthy air"?
It means, to roam or travel through the air, which is without much clarity and consisting of a bad odour or aroma , which here again shows the ill-nature or negativity in the character of the witches... That's why they i.e the witches are different from normal peoples and are also depicted later in the play as the 'ministers of darkness' and 'instruments of evil or devil'.
