According to the brochure I have seen eligibility criteria for mtech in IIT is gate score + btech cgpa > 6.5 Can you pls tell if class 12 percentage is also considered as one of the eligibility criterias
It was the IITKGP that motivated me to do mtech.... I am from a Tier 3 PVT college in BBSR. I was in my 1st semester of BTECH and got an opportunity to go the Kshitij Fest of IIT KGP in JAN 2023, the difference and level I show at IIT for the first time made me fell in love with the IIT Environment. I Just spent 3 days there, it was the IIT KGP where I discovered and got to know about THE GATE EXAM. I Still remember searching in TH-cam "How to get into IIT after BTech" by sitting infront of the IIT KGP Main iconic building!
If your focus is on placement give coding higher priority rather than gate if your coding is great thats all matter . I know people who are from top iit mtech cse placed at 15lpa and I know people who are graduated from tier 3 college grinded hard in coding 2000+ dsa questions now are at uber 80lpa + domestic

Nope, only Btech Cgpa is considered, I had the same doubt as I had 73% in my 12th, I reached out to my mentor who is in IITM and he told me that only Btech Cgpa matters.
