Who here after last night, when niners drafted him no. 3 overall? 👀 I heard about him playing in a pro style offense (if that doesn't look like the niners playbook (with added qb runs, ill be damned). Sure the competition isn't as tough as compared to others. But this kid shows toughness and football IQ. Something that niners need in a QB.
NDSU is by far the most dominant team in FCS history. The most dominant dynasty in any level of college. I honestly hope they get placed in the FBS level so that they can gain greater recognition for their talents.
Maybe if he doesn’t declare next year. Nobody’s getting out in front of Trevor Lawrence. If he’s in the 2021 draft best case scenario is number 2 like the other NDSU QB Wentz.
@Carter Murray I like Fields better as well, he’s much better on 3-5 step drop backs in the pocket and delivering on intermediate routes from there when pressured. It’s just Lawrence is head and shoulders above of everyone and Fields and Lance are gonna be competing for number 2.
Whenever I hear his name, I can't help but smile. He was a redshirt freshman. We've got him for three more years. What's he going to look like as a senior?
@@robesterd8132 He's originally from Marshall Minnesota, played QB and Safety there. He got quite a few offers, including from Minnesota, but most of them were for Safety. Trey wanted to play QB somewhere and that's what NDSU wanted him to play. He redshirted his freshman year and studied under now Chargers quarterback Easton Stick. He played in two games that year for one drive each, both of which ended with him running it in for a touchdown from 20+ yards out. Going into the 2019 season, he was in a quarterback competition with Iowa State transfer Zeb Noland (who played five games there and had decent success) and beat him out. Everyone had a few questions about him going into the season, but his performance against Butler at Target Field put most of those to rest. He proved through the rest of the season that his first starting performance wasn't just because that was against a lowly Pioneer League team. He ended the year winning the Jerry Rice award (most outstanding FCS freshman), the Walter Payton award (most outstanding FCS offensive player, the first freshman to do so, redshirt or otherwise), and the MVP of the FCS national championship game. The last time he threw an interception was in early September 2017 in High School. If you're looking for his stats, just Google his name. NDSU's and ESPN's are the top two answers. This is already too long to list them out. Hope I had what you were looking for somewhere in this mess.

He might, but if he realizes he could literally be the best player ever in Bison/FCS history, he might stay. He's basically 75% there, he has won a lot of awards. Still could get national coverage as well, just like Wentz. And win Natty's. Lol
The Bison have multiple playbooks, to where they do not share at all. That's for FCS and FBS teams. Coach Entz basically hinted that at the National Championship game. He was asked how they would continue this run, and simply said, "Watch. Just watch."
49ers please i would trade up for this kid . 2 first Rd picks should do. Give him a yearvon the pine behind Jimmy then 2022 get his start. 49ers please 49ers please. But he does need to learn how to slide.
I came here thinking I was going to see some stud QB from what I see in mock drafts. What I see is a guy that plays at a div 2 college, a run first QB, most of the plays I see are busted plays and wide open receivers. Thanks but no thanks.
Maybe because highlights don't show everything that happens in a game. He is used a lot in the running game, but that doesn't make him "run first". "Run first" would indicate that he looks at his first read and then takes off. This is not the case if you watch the whole game film.
A valid outlook on this is that Trey is only a Redshirt Sophomore, entering into the fall. He has put up record numbers already, as a freshman mind you. So, I personally think he has a great shot at being the BEST in history of the FCS. He already won the Walter Payton award, Jerry Rice award, Freshman of the year award, started and went 16 - 0, with ZERO interceptions. It is obvious to tell, he has an awesome future in whatever he does in life.
Or a half white QB lead a team full of white. Stfu. Thats like everyone keep saying Obama was our first black president. He wasnt. He was half. People keep forgetting but even obama called himself a mutt. Stop bringing race into it. This is america. You gonna get a lot of different races doing a lot of things. Nobody cares.

NFL draft 2021:
1. Lawrence
2. FIelds
3. - 7. Definitely Trey Lance☄🔥

Nope 2021 because he is a redshirt freshman
