The 1993 song is half in Corsican, a regional language in Corsica, half in French. The 1996 and 2022 songs are in Breton, a regional language in Brittany. The 2011 song is in Corsican. Also, we do have w's, x's and q's in our language, but it's in a very few words.

Jean Gabilou the one who got 3rd place in 1981 is an artist from my homecountry French Polynesia and is the first Polynesian artist who represented France at Eurovision✨✨and many artists from French Polynesia want to accomplish the same goal
IMO as French, French have some kind of love/hate relationship for this contest, mostly people dont really care anymore because it became just politics the bigger Europe became. And French spent so long singing ballads or sticking with French language while the other countries took to singing in English. In 2001 Natasha St Pierre sang a chorus in English so the audience could understand what she was singing about. And the winning country have to hold the contest the following year, so countries who dont want to hold it will send "bad song" to make sure they dont win.
In 1956 only 7 country agreed to participate to the contest. To have a decent lenght, each country could send 2 participants. That year, only the winner was annonced and no ranking was established so there is no runner up or third place. Or last... In 1964 in Copenhague, there was no video recording of the contest that year. Only the winning song was recorded when she sing again after her victory. In 1969, 4 countries tied for the first place. As there was no option to break the ties, all 4 were declared winner. The following year, rules were made to get a clear winner. 1971 : yes, Serge Lama is a very famous french singer especially in the 70's and 80's ! 1973 : it's an unofficial rule. But as the winner must organize the next contest and it's quite expensive, sometimes France and every country send a candidate who has NO CHANCE to win to be sure to lose... 1974 : France withdraw that year 2 days before the contest because the french president died and his funerals were schreduled the day of the contest. 1978 : so few french speaking countries... And they DON'T vote for us anymore... We'll annex them again at the first occasion ! They're useless anyway ! 1981 : Jean Gabilou who represent France lived a full tragedy. His wife died some days before the contest in Tahiti. He was asked if he wanted to withdraw but decided to sing anyway to pay her tribute. 1982 : TF 1, the french public broadcasting channel decided not to display the contest anymore but it was too late for Antenne 2, another public broadcaster, to enter the contest that year. 1989 : Nathalie Paque was only 11 when she entered the contest. The EBU set the minimum age at 16 for the following years. A contest for the 8 - 15 was created later. 1991 : Amina and Carola for Sweden got the same amount of points that year. They got the same amount of "12 points" but Sweden got 5 "10 points" and France only 2. Sweden was declared winner. 1992 : Kali is from the French Western Indies and sing partially in French créole. 1993 : Patrick Fiori sings partially in Corsican. 1996 : Dan Ar Braz sings in Britton.
Because French president died 2 week before the eurovision final. So France decided to withdraw in 1974
Interesting to see so many singers with a successful career hit a brick wall with Eurovision.

1:54 She has a true disney princess voice !
1971 : Serge Lama who wrote the famous song 'Je suis malade'.
France was the first country to win a 3rd, 4th and 5th victory. I'm proud !
But 48 years (as of next year) is too long to wait for a 6th victory !
The Serbian girls fashion ? Hahahahahhaha, if you consider Adidas fashion, then I guess them.
