Yacht Reno during lockdown in New Zealand

- As we have had plenty of time during our lockdown here in New Zealand I caught up with some of the jobs on our 2 IOMs. As we both sail it was nice to do the work for Linley and have her input as to what she wanted to see.
I must admit to being worried about starting this project on her yacht as I had never done some of these things before. We are both new to I O M sailing having only started just before Christmas this year but are enjoying the experience very much.
Hope you enjoy my experience in doing this work.

Hey mate, I am all new to this. What is the bungee cord doing? It looks like it’s going up the mast?!
It runs part way up that line to keep some tension on which can stop the downhaul catching on the cross trees
I had to google some words of this, as it is a second language..so it keeps tension on the line, that is keeping the rear tip of the jib-boom up, so it doesn't get caught in the spreaders?@@dreamjewels

Hello my friend I have many types of boats and I just picked up the dragon flite 95 2021 version and I was wondering what do you think of that boat?
The DF95s are great boats indeed and can be sailed in many clubs all over the world. They are quite light and are easy to sail. For my needs I prefer the International 1 meter class as they are heavier and there is club sailing in my area. Pricewise the DF95 is far cheaper and replacement parts are also better priced than IOM I can only suggest that you find a local club and sail with them, like all R/C gear is it competitive and loads of fun.... I wish you all the best and hope you get the same enjoyment as we do with our boats. Regards

I see so many of these IOM hulls on video. But with Covid BS, where can you buy one? All I see are the Dragonforce Flites, which are ok for racing, but I don't race, I want looks and color.
Hi and thanks for the message. It depends where you are for boats for sale. If you were here in new Zealand I could help but contacting your local club may be a start as most clubs have extra boats with the odd ones for sale
What is "lockdown"? Why do you have it in new zealand?
We were all asked to stay home when covid was at its height.....I believe it was the same in many countries 😊
