Save the cap space, keep an eye on waivers for players of interest.
    Target dmen throughout the season.
Dmen of interest for me are
    Romanov
    Oleksiak
    Gavrikov
    Pelech

None of those guys are making it to waivers, and if they do, they'll all get claimed before the Canucks have a shot at scooping them up

For biggest upsets in Canadian sports? '72 Summit Series as biggest upset? (After Canada's record, and the way they looked, after 4 games, and heading to Moscow... it was looking pretty damn bleak!) - OR - How about a Canadian taking the year-end F1 title for the first time ever? (Jacques Villeneuve, 1997) almost unthinkable! And never again...

US has a great team. My gut says they’re due for an Olympic gold. That said, Canada is plucky and also deep…

The Canucks have gone for the Broadstreet Bullies style blueline and depth forwards, so hopefully they have a great penalty kill because I can see them getting a lot of penalties and not just the usual ghost penalties they seem to get a ton of.
Hockey Canada's support of the development of goalies in this last decade has been gross incompetence and it's also meant a lot less available top starters in the NHL than likely anytime before in the League. It would have been nice if some of the millions spent to cover up sexual assault scandals was actually spent on developing hockey players.
