I lived in Ragans for the second half of my first year and all of my second year and FSU and really loved it (although I def missed my big bed at home hahaha)... I think I would've cried if I got McCollum and had to share a bathroom with three other people
Samantha Katherine yes fully furnished, bus to campus, super nice pool area and other amenities as well as things like tennis courts, basketball and beach volleyball
A lot of off-campus apartments are cheaper than the apartment style dorms at FSU. For example, Traditions is $4,050 per semester, or $810 per month if you divide it by 5 months per semester. There are a lot of off-campus apartments where you can pay less than that amount each month and get additional amenities such as in-unit washer/dryer, pool, gym, clubhouse, etc (mine is walking distance and less than that amount!). With on-campus apartments, you are also paying for the location. Just something to think about! :) Victoria's right though that the further you get from campus, the cheaper apartment rent gets. Thanks for the great video and for sharing your experience!
Jennifer Garciga Traditions hall is the only dorm only available for returning students! You will be able to get top picks apartment style based on your credit hours! So u will likely be a junior as a transfer & will be able to choose from the rest of the apartment style dorms!
No McCollum does not. It is open to freshman. & there is a system in place where you basically put ur preferences of where you would want to live & they are assigned based on ur preferences. You usually get your first or second pick.
So these apartment style dorms aren't available for freshmen, but are freshmen allowed to live at off campus apartments? Or are we required to live in dorms for the first year? BTW love love love your videos you're helping out a nervous future freshman haha

How far is Ragans? What is it close to?
Not sure if you're answering questions anymore! But, is it wise to have a car if you live on campus? Especially if you wanna buy groceries etc?
Is there a requirement to get into one of these halls? For example must be junior or senior
is there a difference between people from Tallahassee and those who are not
Meredith Wiederspahn not really. tbh on campus most of the students aren’t from Tallahassee!
Are the apartment style dorms allowed for transfer students as well or is it only for returning students?

I transferred to FSU for spring of my freshman year and was assigned to an apartment-style dorm! (Ragans Hall)
